  1. I can promise you progress Yes, he cannot go alone. He might've been a lone wolf most of his life, but things are different now.
  2. Everyone has his work cut out for him, I promise. Theo can be as reluctant as he want, but he will have to accept at least Vince's and Jack's company. And then, things will happen
  3. Lol, I guess I have a type! The standoffish, specialized in self-restraint character!
  4. They are all needed for the puzzle to get solved...
  5. The list continues!
  6. He-he... now you are left to wonder how long he'll practice this level of restraint...
  7. Chapter Eleven – Contradictions Theodore felt a muscle twitching in his jaw as he glared at the human guardian. Vince kept staring defiantly at him, which meant that direct threats would get him nowhere. “Very well,” he said, barely containing his rage. “I must warn you. It will be, without a doubt, a dangerous journey. Do not count on me for one moment to protect you. You join me at your own peril. Let that sink in for a moment.” “There’s nothing to sink in, and there’s no sink,

That's what I like to hear from readers... I think it's a fair dilemma, one which many people solved in different ways in their lives.

We'll see what Lyn does... it's going to be a whole thing!

Definitely, Lyn calls Alexander a 'demon' in the most affectionate way. And I think it was never with true rancor even in the past - more like reluctant admiration, Alexander being the things Lyn doesn't dare to be... that kind of thing. Since I have tried from the start of the story to avoid putting random things in it, the conversation with the Fosters is important. It will connect with the past, and the present, too. Brad sabotaging his own wedding... well, the reasons are quite complicated. I'm sure he'll still deserve your judgement in the end, but I hope that it will be a complex kind of judgement. I agree with you on the last bits... but I understand that people might choose differently based on circumstances.

I did believe from the start that this moral dilemma will get people invested in the idea of 'what would I do?' - I drew from real life here a little, my own. I did see something, I did tell, it ended up with me somehow being the bad guy. Still, since I know I'd want to learn about something as big as this concerning me... I prefer to be told, so I do the same.

It's not wrong to call him a coward, yes...

Yes, of course! Alexander did have to 'dance' a little around Lyn's excessive awareness - let's call it that - to convince him. A matter of proportions, as I said earlier

Yes, excellent title - and it puts things in motion, while Lyn frets over what he should do. And because, as you well say, Lyn overthinks and is also empathetic by nature... the moral torture will be real. Luke is more things than just immature. He's in-between in a way, in the sense that he prefers to be immature, but his real age is catching up on him. Alexander, he of the observant eye... And more surprises will come.

@spyke does feel a lil' something here... But I won't tell what It's a very subtle undercurrent. I honestly didn't know whether it would fly over everyone's heads or not. Apparently, someone has a lil' Spidey sense. Told ya. Alexander is no saint

He-he... I get the sentiment. I asked my Plot Whisperers about telling/not telling, and I got opinions on both sides. You will see what Lyn will do! Alexander is... in Brad's life... in a way. (So many suspension points, lol) - but Alexander doesn't keep it for Lyn, not the way you'd imagine. And to make everyone reading this comment the most confused, Brad hasn't seen Alexander in those eight years apart, either, just like he didn't see Lyn. Also, Alexander mostly observes and deduces, he doesn't know things directly. Luke is immature, I know. And he's a hot mess wrapped in an electric blanket.

I think the story has it in itself to surprise you with the reason... although, based on what readers know at the moment - family expectations is exactly what was hinted at before.

That's a very good question - why Brad is marrying Bella? And I will let the characters answer that! (At the right time)

Hmm... I don't disagree completely with this interesting comment... But it's a matter of proportions, I think (and thanks for calling me that... huge compliment )

Yes, I believe it's safe to say that all these conflicting feelings are linked to the past. You're right about some guesses you made... As for Lyn's dilemma, it's going to torture him, and the torture just started.

Oh, what a good line... how would Luke feel if anyone did the same to him? And now the big moral dilemma for Lyn starts. I know there will be people on both sides, it's only natural, that's why it's a moral dilemma
  25. Chapter Forty-Two – [Memory, Summer Break before Senior Year, August] – This, Too, Will Pass Why did it have to be so hot? A sweltering August was making all his mom’s flowerbeds perish slowly, overcome by the unbreathable air, their heads drooping low. Lyn was watching them, peering through the window, while inhaling yet another glass of iced tea. The AC had broken down two days ago. His mom was on a short pleasure trip with the widower, and Lyn didn’t have the kind of money necessar
