  1. Chapter Thirty-Three – I’m Making My Own Rules, I’m Choosing My Own Muse “Is it my imagination, or have you gotten better since I last heard you sing?” August asked while handing him a cup of coffee. Rusty had been busy checking out her place while she got busy with the coffee and, so far, he had come to the conclusion that his old acquaintance was still perfectly capable of turning any space into her own. The studio was small and cozy; there were flowers in a small vase on the table,
  2. He-he, all good, but the cat boy was the one being kissed... and left to swoon as a result
  3. It's getting to be that kind of story I'm afraid...
  4. As long as you're willing to work only for a byline - you know, getting yourself out there - the job is yours!
  5. You so, so like adding fuel to the fire... it's so funny. And you're definitely right about Xpress - Slicky is sort of old news, and Rybalt is in.
  6. Oh, Gary, that's quite the tall order... but I so wish to do it... It wouldn't be an exact replica of the play, of course, but... ah, you're putting ideas in my head... and I'm so busy IRL that I start hating being an adult with obligations!
  7. Excellent point!
  8. You're right about August. She's not mean
  9. I'm afraid Matty's not much of a singer... so Rusty's performances will be solos mainly Have some mercy on the kids, because it was a very, very short kiss. However, they'll have other occasions - and that means that I'm giving away more than I want, lol - to figure it out. As you know me, I have a thing for romantic and dramatic climaxes - no, not only that kind - so... I'll leave you here, and say, just as I told @Doha that you will have a certain satisfaction about the things you guessed right
  10. I'm happy you enjoyed the chapter! Rusty's well on his way to become a star. As for your other guesses, I'll let you bask in the knowledge that you were right on some accounts as the story progresses.
  11. You are definitely right about that... but not just yet
  12. No comment
  13. Rusty is doing many things by assuming this double life and this persona. In the end, he will realize that there's only one thing that matters of them all (And yes, I am listening obsessively to the soundtrack of The Phantom of the Opera while imagining Rusty's following adventures - for the harmonies, not the plot)
  14. Good point! From the first time I introduced Connor in GGDBB, that was the impression I wanted him to leave on people. He-he, and I appreciate that you see Rusty as a prize Buuuut... there can only be one winner!
  15. I just can't - how people say today - with you wanting Connor to get some! I'm just rotfl'ing!
  16. You got me at 'hands off the plums'! The secret identities won't remain secret indefinitely, at least for those concerned... but for now, they remain just that. And yes, Rusty's friends will know who Rybalt is... and today's episode will show who else guessed the truth.
  17. The first thing that came to my mind while reading your comment were some lyrics from Taylor Swift's Blank Space: 'Cause you know I love the players And you love the game In Rusty's and Matty's case, they both love the players and the game equally So the unmasking won't happen right away.
  18. I don't exactly know how a butt plug would help Rybalt since he's trying more for a baritone-like range, lol! As for Connor... I'm afraid the kind of touching he has in mind for Slicky is not sexy at all...
  19. Chapter Thirty-Two – I Used To Know You Last night had been electric. Rusty couldn’t sit still. He had gotten up before everyone else, aware that he would soon have to fend off a wave of questions from his besties, and went out for a run. The campus was still quiet at that hour, while a thin breeze, cutting a bit through his clothes, had just begun, an early morning announcement that the weather would soon change for the worse. He sat on a bench and took out his phone, hoping that the hour
  20. Chapter Thirty-One - A Night To Remember Zoey walked into the room as soon as Matty yelled for her to come in from the other side of the door, but it took him a few moments to recognize his bestie in her new attire. The pink jacket she loved so much was gone, and so was any trace of glitter. If anything, the lack of any makeup made Zoey look younger with her eyes made huge by the glasses and her hair brushed back and tied into a braided ponytail. Knowing the usual troubles she had with maki
  21. Oh, I so love your poems... You're one of the reasons I started to feel so guilty about not replying to the comments lately... I didn't want to end up replying only to a few people and then neglecting the others because I got interrupted, and so, I ended up postponing things indefinitely, which is bad! But your sense of rhyme is chef's kiss And you all know Rusty is chasing something in everything he does... or someone...
  22. Well, August is not meant to be a one-dimensional character, and she will play a role in Rusty's development. I know that I caused a lot of curiosity by introducing her, however, she is essential to the plot, and now I'm just going to shut up.
  23. Of course, that's the realistic point of view, I don't deny it. But, well, I'm writing a romance with a happy end, so you already know how the story's going to end. Also, since I've been with my better half since high school, and we're closing on almost three decades together, I feel tempted to say that it's not impossible
  24. Chapter Thirty – Secondary Characters Have A Life, Too “And you wouldn’t believe it, Zoey, he was going on and on about all that crap that Connor put in his brain. And others’ brains, I’m sure. Can you tell me what makes some people get into this kind of thing? I just can’t figure it out by myself,” Matty finished his complaint with a deep sigh. Zoey patted him on the shoulder. He was buying to celebrate the fact that Rusty was making a key for him, and who else was there to do that wi
  25. Something tells me you'll have to wait in line, Wes...
