Fates are aligning indeed... Since this is fiction, I can manipulate fates as I want! Hudson is getting deeper into his undercover operation. He still needs to discover a lot of things and all the information he gathers, he's going to use. Otis is just an innocent darling and he's getting his first drink. You're right about Jackie - he's being cockblocked by Missy, although Otis doesn't even realize or know the term.

When you said 'what could possibly go wrong?' - I just read that in the voice of a commentator on YouTube on a series about various events in history with unexpected consequences. It's funny only if you know what I mean, lol. Regarding Jasper, I won't forget about him in future chapters, and Hudson doesn't let people prey to shady characters just like that. And as for Otis... you'll know next time

No problem! Actually, since this story is darker than most things I write, I even expect people to read it only when it's finished. All I can say is that I will try to keep the graphic details of the bad parts at minimum and mostly hint at them, and that it's going to be a HEA. So, it's all understood, don't worry! -
