Sunday ended up being a wasted day after I left to get lunch. There was no epic escape, no one was out, the town was completely dead. The people at the local McDonald's actually looked thrilled to finally see someone coming into the place to order some food. Body type and obesity aren't the same thing. So "plus size" and "fat" aren't either. Some people have larger bone mass than others, so they're naturally broader. Those muscles have to cover and support those bones, so the body naturally compensates for those differing types as well. These "plus size" models aren't fat, they're just a different body type than what most agencies look for in their models. He's just a hell of a lot of man, so a lot of agencies wouldn't know what to do with him, so they call him plus-size. I bet he's a good cuddler. (hopes the hubby doesn't read that) -
Thanks for reading! Yeah, we can't expect our boy to change so much without a few relapses back into old habits. Maybe it won't be so bad since he's only got a bit of his freedom back and not all of it. But we'll see.

Thanks for reading! Jackson's friends will come into play a lot more as the story progresses! I hope to really dive into them in the next few chapters. They have been on the periphery for awhile now - so much so we can't really take any of them seriously yet. There are a lot of characters to manage with this story, shew. lol. I actually am worried that I'm not doing that well of a job with Jackson's parents, but the story is still a wee bit new, so they can be tweaked better as the story progresses. I hope.

Thanks for reading! I am wondering though, why you feel that Luke was trapped whilst the school is open? He says he doesn't have any "really close friends" in some of the chapters, but he doesn't seem overall unhappy about going there? Although, he does hate the idea of being homeschooled by his mother.. lol.

The ride back home was nearly silent. The only sound coming from the radio, kept low for any talking that we would do. I glanced over at Luke every so often, thinking that he would say something eventually. Him being quiet wasn’t like him at all, from what I knew of him anyway. Tis that time of year again! Already some nice upsets to break a lot of brackets! I've never been a fan of Baylor, so I'm glad to see them bite it. Surprised Purdue didn't show a lot of toughness during their game though. They played Michigan State so hard. So far the PAC 12 looks a little bit weak, maybe they'll turn it around.

Thanks for reading! I think Jackson has let some of those guards down. Is it because he's bored and Luke IS the only other person his age he can be around? Or is it because they are finding common ground being the same age, etc. It would be nice to know.. wouldn't it? I actually had this chapter ending differently. NOT going into that.. lol. But I felt it was getting a bit long, so I decided to scrap a scene, which extends the story line a bit. So! I need to get to writing.. Glad you like the characters so far!

The loss of a school, even if it isn't the most exciting place would be better than sitting at home with a pushy mother hovering over your shoulder.. lol.. I imagine. Especially the last year of high school "the best year"

Thanks for reading! He does respect Coach Tate more than he does his parents, as far as discipline goes.. he has a lot more to lose when it comes to what Coach can take away from him, I believe. I agree, I don't think Allison is a phony either, she is just trying to find her place within Jackson's life as his girlfriend. They haven't been together that long, there's always that chance things won't work out when they're so new.. so anything to take away from her time with him, is seen as a threat. So yes, I do agree with you completely. Hopefully Jackson's other friends will make their mark on the story too. There's a lot of people I'm going to attempt to manage with this story.

Thanks for reading! I'm glad you find the teenage voices authentic. I do find dialog that doesn't fit the person to come across as cheesy. As far as the "6 - Pack" (like the name by the way) I do want to attempt to manage them a lot better. To add some depth to a few of them in later chapters. There is a lot left for me to establish, but I do want their voices added to the mix. Hopefully I'll be able to manage all these characters a bit. Teenagers are walking and talking conflict as well. We'll see what happens between Jackson, Luke, and Allison for sure.

Jackson's advice could give Luke courage, but not in what Jackson is thinking. It was nice having J listening to and absorbing Luke's fear and desires re: schooling. I notice he's being more natural around Luke lately, which in itself is a good development for him, no matter what happens. A nice "developmental" chapter Krista! A Great story! Thanks for reading! Jackson can listen! A little bit surprising, yes? lol. He's not too bad on the advice either, but we'll see what Luke does with it - if anything.

Walking into the YMCA knowing I was about to get another ass chewing for being late and looking tired made me want to turn back around and leave. After the warm shower at home and the ride in Luke’s car I became stiff from the manual labor I put in earlier. Thanks for reading! The mating dance.. hmm. lol. I've actually written a bunch of dancing scenes in my writing, but I like the idea of a mating dance. Jackson has grown a little bit, so maybe the parents were a wee bit right about finally laying the hammer down and grounding him a bit.. lol. Homeschooling - I wonder just how stubborn Luke's Mom Cindy will be about that...

Thanks for reading! My beta-reader/proof reader said something similar - that there isn't real evidence that the two of them could even be interested in one another yet. Which, is intentional as well. I love that you like my dialogue as there is a crap ton of it used in my writing in general! Hopefully I can keep this story going somewhat regularly. Can't believe I've not been paying attention to the sports forum and missed this one. I love Volleyball and Basketball. Being a tall girl those were my sports in High School. I have terrible knees to show for it too. I played Softball for a season, but I couldn't hit a softball if my life depended on it, so I quit and I think they were thankful. lol. I did Dance and Cheerleading when I was a lot younger and before I really started growing.
