It's funny you should mention Agatha Christie and her murder mysteries, but that's all I'll say for now. I don't want to spoil anything. And you have a good point, it is kind of similar, although of course much more light-hearted and without grisly murders - no matter how much one might want that.

Thank you for the great comment! It's definitely high praise if you consider my story entertaining enough to watch, so thank you! I'm also not a big TV fan (especially not of reality shows), but I got inspired by a certain variety show on Youtube, plus I wanted to write some more about my characters from Charttoppers.

I'm definitely glad I read this story! It ended on a good note, with a lot of introspection and acceptance by the cast. It feels like a complete story, but it also has a somewhat open ending that leaves you wanting more - which is the best kind of ending imo. I think I knew on some level that we weren't going to get answers to who trapped them in the game and why, and I'm fine with that. Yes, I would've liked to get answers to those questions (who wouldn't?), but I totally agree with your reasoning that it would've detracted from the main focus of the story. (Plus this way I can have my own theories and I can delude myself that they're correct.) And of course, that can always be covered in a potential sequel or prequel.

This was a great chapter, it was really interesting to see everyone's thoughts and how they grieve and deal with loss in different ways. On to the final chapter, I'm curious to see how you wrap this up.

And that's what I like about the story. They're not being forced to fight by the devs or even monsters themselves, so everything the players do is on them. So they have to live with knowing that. And of course, those who don't do content but just sit around in the safe zone all day don't get to have screen time. Reading about them definitely wouldn't make for a very fun story. XD

That was climactic for sure! They beat the boss, but at what cost? I'm still not sure what I think about their decision to do the raid. If so many people died on the easiest temple boss, what will happen in the later raids? I'd probably be one of the people who would choose to sit the fight out and just stay in town where it's safe - unless the game starts introducing mechanics that force everyone to participate. I guess only time will tell if they made the right call (tho obviously we as the readers won't know because the story is clearly almost over lol).

There's always that one type of enemy that is weak and not really too dangerous, but super annoying to deal with, especially for certain builds - and it seems like in this game it's the pill bugs. Also, as someone with mild arachnophobia, I would totally run away screaming at the first sight of a spider.

That was a lot of suspense ahead of the boss fight. Everyone is basically ready, but how will it turn out? I have a feeling the boss will have some secret moves the players aren't counting on.

This story would be great for adapting into a tv show. It has a big and diverse cast, it'd be fun seeing them all navigate the video game world. One of my theories is that the people are not actually in the game anymore. Maybe they were hooked up onto the game, got their personalities somehow copied into the game, and then they were just released, leaving their "digital copies" to keep living inside the game thinking they were real people.
