I couldn't agree more. I know I wish I had a mentor of sorts or a youth center where I could've gone when I was younger. Alas, living in a homophobic country, such things are still not a reality here.

The past few days have been a dream come true for Cody. Ever since Trick and he officially became a couple, life just seemed so much better. He had the will and strength to do anything, it was like nothing could bring him down. Even though Trick was still back home for the holidays, they managed to see each other almost every day, either going out or staying at one of their homes, just hanging out and kissing… a lot! What can I say, we definitely disagree on this one. I don't think the cases you mentioned are comparable. And as you said "It may be unforgivable to you but that doesn’t mean it is to everyone." We have different levels of tolerance and that's ok.

That's interesting, I didn't know that's how it originaly ended. There you go, sometimes you should trust your first instincts But seriously, the fact we're discussing this so much is only a testament to your great writing and engaging characters, even if I disagree with the outcome.

Lol I already booked a flight to UK to give Kay a piece of my mind! It feels like he didn't learn anything or grow emotionally: he remained fragile and depressed, unable to move on with his life because of a failed relationship; he saw no other choice but to forgive the cheater and get back with him. Can't help but wonder: what would've happened if he didn't find out about Jake that night? Would Jake's lies continue through the entire college? I will say this, though: if the story ended with ch.6, it would've been perfect.

Trick (as well as Brad and Zoe) did notice Cody's change of behavior in high school, but they just thought it was strange, they didn't know what caused it. The damage was already done by then, so Trick certainly wasn't going to go up to Cody and ask "hey, why are you not teasing me anymore?". The new school was better for Trick, he wasn't bullied and he even had a relationship there, as you'll discover later.

I think Trick's parents have full trust in their son, and they realized that they boys feel strongly about each other and that Cody was fully aware of what he did. Besides, the 'family breakfast' wasn't just a sign of hospitality, but also a way to talk to Cody and learn more about him. Thanks so much for your comment and I hope you continue to enjoy the story!
