I just caught up and I'm in love! These characters are very fleshed out and realistic despite the fantasy setting. I love the romance dynamic between Kal and Talon and I would love to see more of their powers working together. With that, hopefully Kalian's light powers get as expansive as Talon's ability to access the shadow dimension...like maybe traveling at the speed of light or manipulating light to create illusions?
I also wanted to commend you on your world-building and use of descriptive scenes! They arent too excessive and effectively counter-balance the action.
Please keep Talon witty, he always brings a smile to my face. I also liked the idea of bringing Amaris back around to become an unlikely but loyal friend of Kal's since he has so few. His reliance on Talon and his brother seems to be an annoyance for them, so hopefully he can branch out a bit more and become more independent. I think Lyme is cool too.
Any other stories you have that are similar that I can binge read while Im waiting on more of these chapters???
