SHIPSBOY ，A WANKER IS A DEROGATORY TERM FOR SOMEONE WHO IS ARIGHT NASTY PIECE OF WORK。THERE ARE OTHER TERMS SUCH AS A GIT OR NIT SLEAZE OR SLEAZIOD AND SO ON THE AUSTRALIA ABORIGINALS REFER TO SOME ONE LIKE THAT AS A DOG IF THEY ARE IN A RIGHT BAD MOOD。DOUCHE HAS A SIMILAR CONOTATION IN SOME PLACES SOME EVEN ADD BAG TO DOUCHE。IN OTHER WORDS ITS A COLLOQUIALISM。ENGLISH HAS RATHER STRONG PROPENSITY AND BAD HABIT OF APPROPRIATING WORDS AND USING THEM WAYS THAT THEY WERE NEVER TO BE INTENDED。 PEOPLE COULD SAY THE SAME AS YOU DID ABOUT WANKER ABOUT THE F BOMB WORD THAT PEOPLE WITH FOUL TEMPERS OR DIRTY TONGUES WILL USE。

Wesley, your not supposed to like the school! Your not a student there Robert is. As I had a sports teacher in high school who was up himself and a really nasty vice principle who was a bully I told them to shove it where there is no shiny things and take a running leap of a cliff. I read in library or did lawn mowing and gardening of the grounds. If I had to visit the deputy I walked five and half miles home instead. There was no way I was going to take the blame for someone else's stupidity.

Hi like this story and feel that I have read it before Good stories are like good wine, they get better as they age.

Another great chapter. Just wondering if we will hear more about the assassins on the home world and what happened to them! And also what has happened to the greedy graders on earth who had earlier today wanted control of everything and to sieze what they didnot own and create.

This is a great story so far. Knowing in part how it ends and that it isn't a case of happily ever after doesn't detract from it but rather, it adds a somewhat surreal realism to it that we have come to expect in similar situations all to often..... I suspect that his useless bully of a brother may have something to do with what happens plus people like Deanna and Carter who only make things muddier and more difficult for TJ to cope with. Having witness. A large number of such things where someone has offt themselves I don't see how they can go on without getting proper help. Although there are plenty of instances because of distance or a lack of understanding these things do happen. I have spent nearly forty years dealing and living with the effects of bipolar disorder and thoughts of suicide at different times and very nasty judgemental religious family members who stole much of my possessions over a period of time. It's not fun but for my health I had to walk away from it all and have frozen them out of my life to the extent I no longer regard them as family and have nothing to do with them I much happier for it and it was very clear there is justice in the so called justice system as it rewards those that do the wrong while those who do the right thing suffer.

What a great beginning to a new CJ Abello story. It will be interesting to see how it developed as it twelve months behind actual events. Ritchie is such a little spitfire larrikin! How they will keep him on a tight leash I have no idea. But somehow I think CJ will have more to do with his little brother than anyone else as Ritchie adores CJ so much.

Deanna is just a witch butch..... and carter is just plain trouble waiting on two legs or needs saving big time not sure which yet. However since he is a pot head and loves to miss school I think he is the last person TJ should hang with and tj's brother is just a dumb bully.

TJ is quite the tragic figure and begins a dramatic transformation after his walls are broken by a caring teacher and a fellow student who thinks he is drop dead gorgeous and cute but needs to smile more, neither of whom care about his past just his present and future which they can help change for the better and let him see that he has worth and value to them and others as a person regardless of one's past or even present circumstances. It seems TJ has a bad home life from the tiny glimpses we are shown but they sure have done a number on him as a person. Can't wait for more!

What a meaningfull and insightfull look into teen angst, hurt, sadness, loss,etc: I enjoyed reading it and got quite a surprise in how it ended.

Mfa607 if this is Teddy dealing with lost love in his own way, then it is most assuredly a failure as he is hurting as bad in the present as he was when he was 18. The way he talks to Ryder in the shop and in the hospital and to his little brother must surely indicate that this hurt is just under the surface and will break out if he doesn't deal with it. Maybe now that he is beginning to talk about this issue to both Ryder and his little brother, he can gain a healthier perspective. This may be of help to Ryder in the near future. I also think what he said needed to be said to Ryder to clear the air and let Ryder know how big a jerk he had been by doing what he did and not trying to explain how he was feeling to Teddy, who after all was the one person who should have been talked to and whom may have understood Ryder's feelings at that time. Instead he runs of into the drugs and on night stand scenes which only have one ending and ain't a good look at all. It would seem Ryder isn't out of the woods health wise either. While it has barely been hinted at I suspect Ryder Will need major heart surgery and a new liver because of the drugs. So I can see plenty of convolution coming in the story where Ryder needs Teddy and his support and strength and that's even without getting Ryder of the drugs. He is going to need to be clean for any medical interventions to occur. My guess is Teddy's little brother will play a major role in getting Teddy to see that Ryder isn't bad, just badly messed up and miss guided. Remember that Ryder was still missed up over his parents death plus grieving for his grandmother when he dumped Teddy.

One verse would have been enough a week since you are in college. Your spoiling us if you get more out.

Weary means the same thing as tired. From the context I believe the word you need and would use is wary or even leary . Both mean the similar thing. To cautious of or afraid of. Love both these chapters so far. I believe that for his own sanity Teddy needs to listen to Ryder and give him another chance. For them to both move on they need to explore what was once there to see if it is still there and either way get them both out of the time warp they have found themselves in. Even after all this time it is very much and open wound which is not only affecting them but is affecting everyone around them.

great story and final chapter to Book 1. Can't wait for Book 2. Teddy never did anything wrong. However, that doesn't mean that he was totally in the right either. He should have gone out for dinner with Ryder. I suspect in book 2 will find out Ryder's suicide or at least his attempt is a cry for help a deep seated need for Ryder and Teddy to talk and possibly start over again. Very few young people have a sure and certain wisdom to understand things in context until they have some age, for it is the experience of age that gives wisdom if one is just prepared to learn from life and it's mistakes. Jumping too conclusions certainly isn't the right way to get wisdom.

It would seem to me that Dr. Shepard has superior sources of information at his finger tips that no one else knows of or at least suspects him having. Be grateful he has it I think.

Anton doesn't have an attitude, but he is however upset and disappointed that his friends/captains in thee, exuberance ,happiness, etc, to be home a rule of the sea, 'A boat does not ever use its horn unne essarily for no reason.' This is beautiful cause they are used to convey messages on the sea and when traversing in and out of port so that others boats may get out of the way in sufficient hast as to avoid accidents.I serriously doubt you would want to be on a Boat on Which such a bad habit had been fostered to the extent a serious in port accident occurred. If you guys think Anton is still hard I suggest we Te urn back time a d place you on one of three ships from the U. S. N. Pacific fleet that recently were the au Cause of major incidents where many lives were lost. You can be sure that from Captains,Exo's down they were dressed down in salty style by the admirals over them just as the several rear admirals were. I guess the concern about the landscaper is to keep a rein on the costs and prevent any cost blow outs or over runs. This would seem the logical reason as I didn't detect any concerns raised by any other scenarios. No we're expressed in the context and confines of the story line.
