MORGAN I followed Troy to the barn, almost bumping into him when he stopped short in front of the door. “Did you pick out a horse yet?” “Uh.” All I could focus on was how close we were—his breath on my face. I glanced at the horses grazing in the field and spied the one who’d caught my eye yesterday. “Oh, uh.” I cleared my throat. “How’s the paint mare?” Troy smiled, his eyes locked on mine. “She’s a good pick. She’s quick, though, and a little spirited. Think you can handle her?”

There's meds for that you know.

Because he mistakenly assumed Nos'match was a she. Sven corrected himself after Nos referred to Cal as he. Poor Nos, he's in a pickle. I'd speculate further but I can't. I know what happens bwaahahaha.

It seems like a lot of us are dealing with various issues. @mollyhousemouse, I'm sorry you've lost your father-in-law. Its always hard losing family. @Cane23 it saddens me to see such drought. When I worked in travel I often booked river cruises for my clients. Its one of those trips that's high on my bucket list. I hope it's still an option if I get the chance to go. @Mikiesboy feel better hon, you deserve some relief from your mouth pain. Can't wait to see how the sweater turns out. Hugs. Xo We managed to get away from stress for a few hours today and went to see Spiderman: Brand New Day. If you like Marvel then you'll like this one. Our theater also has the option of ordering concessions online and having them delivered to your seats. What a nice feature not to have to stand in line! Hopefully the upcoming week will be kind to everyone.

Do any of you cat people out there have suggestions as how to stop my mother-in-laws effing cat from peeing on the living room rug. We've lived here almost a year and she just started doing this. The bulky rug cleaner is now a permanent fixture. We bought some stuff specifically for urine odors but it's not helping. I'm sick of deep cleaning that corner of the living room everyday and the smell gives me a blooming headache. I think she started doing it because our cat (the only cat I will ever claim to like) liked to lay there. I think the bad cat is trying to assert her territory. Short of opening the back door and "accidentally" letting her out, is there anything I can do. This is another reason I. Don't. Like. Cats.

That was such a classic movie! Troy isn't isolated on the ranch. He goes to school and later we meet a couple of his friends. If anyone is isolated, it's Morgan. His world has always been narrow and we get to find out more in a few chapters. Thanks for reading and I'm glad this lot can provide a few laughs. They're kinda good at it.

Troy is out to his family. I'll get to what happened in a later chapter. As I mentioned before, Erik Riggs is intuitive and so isn't Carson. Don't forget, you gotta go through Carson to get to Riggs. Neither of them had a companion for Troy in mind. Thanks for actually commenting on the story!

I know it gets mentioned later but Troy is 16. Troy did have some issues coming out and I did address it in this chapter but @Mrsgnomie said it wasn't necessary at that point in the story. I guess I'd better figure out where to explain it now. Mrs. P does live on site. She's the Riggs' version of Alice from the Brady Bunch lol.
