Caleb groaned. For a moment, he thought he was back at Giles’ in the aftermath of being shot. His muscles spasmed in protest as he moved. Why the fuck was he so sore?
Shit, Asa!
His eyes flew open. He tried to push himself upright and floundered helplessly.
“Whoa! Hang on there, Caleb.” Santos hurried to the bedside, his bag of medical supplies clutched in his hand. A strong arm pushed him back onto the bed.
He scowled and attempted to sit up again, wincing as the doctor g
Ok. I found myself commisurating with Al as he suffered through "mandatory performance enrichment" training (or whatever the higher ups want to call it- two hours of our lives we will never get back.)
I even was a little sympathetic at the whole stray cat thing (not a cat person).
Then you flung the wig off the choir leader at the end of the chapter. Well done. My kind of evil genius.
I have to say... today is an absolutely gorgeous day. I woke up and it was 68 degrees in the house. Outside it was 58. What a refreshing change and much needed relief from the heat and humidity we suffered through all summer.
In college, on days like this, a few of us would skip classes and head to Marblehead, MA to an tiny public access point between two mansions on the water. There was an outcrop of rocks and we'd climb down and park ourselves there for a few hours, basking in the sun and just chill. The place was called Castle Rock and we dubbed them "Castle Rock Days".
Today is a Castle Rock kind of day.
It's ready to go, but @Mrsgnomie said she was going to get to it yesterday. Word has it she was slamming back Miami Vices and baked herself too long in the sun. So any errors, Aaron or Danilo or I may have missed are on her.
Hopefully, now that she's on vacation,@Mrsgnomie will park her ass by the pool with her laptop and actually get stuff done... like edit chapter 7 and finish the chapter of Dichotomy that she's been promising to get to and send to me and @Geemeedee.
I have a feeling my days of riding the rides at the theme parks are over (too expensive anyway).
I went to an urgent care this morning that was open 7 days a week. They were closed for staff training. The second one we went to was closed too. I'll just call my own doctor tomorrow. Not that much can be done. I've been down this road. But thanks for your concern.
