I'm actually three sheets to the wind right now. Lol

Ok peeps. So far everyone is okay. We're still supposed to get a lot a rain over the next few hours but we missed the worst of the storm. The park that I work at has a lot of damage that we still need to evaluate in the morning. It was really intense for a while. It's pretty dark now so we'll be out in the morning to see how bad the damage is. As of right now we're safe.

We will be doing our damnedest. No chapter today. We need to move our stuff over to the clubhouse. The building is concrete and should hold up okay. I'll check in as soon as I'm able. If internet is out for a while I'll try to get a message to @Mrsgnomie and she'll update you guys. ❤

Okay DiCers. Keep the positive thoughts flowing that this hurricane shifts south a little bit more. Got back from vacation early yesterday morning. All local hotel rooms already booked up. Driving several hours away isn't an option anymore as most gas stations are out of gas. Yes, we have a full tank, but if we leave we might be stuck not being able to get back. Still no guarantee of finding anything reasonable within driving distance. Luckily I still have water. The county has already shut down the water to my mobile home park. Try explaining to pissed off residents that I can't do anything about it. Don't expect county services if you choose to stay in a MANDATORY evacuation zone. (All mobile home parks are level A which means they're the 1st to be issued). I did manage to persuade at least 4 residents who were planning on staying to leave. I still have a few diehards who insist on staying in the equivalent of a tin can. To top things off, just discovered my car battery is dead. That at least solves the dilemma of should we stay or go. Looks like we're in this for the long haul. Fingers crossed everyone. Fingers crossed.

Raven, as of right now I'm in the center of the Bullseye. If things start getting really bad I'll move over to the clubhouse next door. It's a cement building that should hold up well. It's not looking good.

Thanks Carlos Ian needs to f**k off. But seeing how it doesn't look like that's going to happen we're battening everything down. I'm at work today. I need to go through the community to see how many residents are planning on staying. They're crazy if they do. Let's hope this thing decides to jog to west a couple hundred miles. Regardless, somewhere is going to get hit hard.

I'll try to post on Wednesday. It all depends on how Ian (and not Lex's Ian) behaves. We need it to jog a couple hundred miles to the west, otherwise we're getting slammed with the backside of the storm which is where some serious rain hangs out, not to mention wind. Going into work tomorrow to make sure everything is battened down and the residents are evacuating. All mobile home communities are under mandatory evacuations right now. We might need to bug out too. Depends on how this thing tracks. They're shutting down water service to the island across the bay from us tomorrow evening. Why anyone would want to stay on a barrier island in a hurricane is beyond me. Right now I've got the ice maker going non-stop so I can pack the freezers so if we lose power the frozen stuff has a fighting chance. Keep your fingers crossed.

It's good to be home. I'm tired as all hell. The trip was amazing. I'll post a blog detailing my adventures (and a couple of misadventures lol), but not today. My brain cells got left behind somewhere. I also have to do the usual post-vacation crap like unpacking, laundry, going to the store to restock everything my kid devoured. Oh, yeah.... and prep for a freaking hurricane.
