    Chapter 28

It was posted as part of this year's GA's anniversary-themed Anthology. I had no idea it was dropping today. It's why I posted late. There has to be 8 hours between postings. Thanks for the endorsement!😘

    Chapter 28

The slimebag is a known pedophile. I hope he gets his comeuppance.

    Chapter 28

Boston... Known for history, Ivy League colleges, horrible traffic and seafood. Wonder if red herring is a specialty?

It's been a busy week. Check out my anthology entry too. I didn't know when it was going to hit and it's in today's drop.

    Chapter 28

Elijah stood at the railing of the overlook, taking in the vastness of the incredible sight nature created. Pictures did not do the landscape justice. Striations of brown, black, tan, red, and even greenish rock displayed the history of Earth going back millions of years. Incredibly fucking beautiful. He was glad Tyler came up with this idea. They lucked out and snagged two seats on the two-hour train ride from Williams to the visitor’s center at the canyon’s South Rim. The ride was worth

    Chapter 1

I'm not sure if there will be any more to Shay's story. They popped into my head for a short visit. I do have an idea floating around that might make for a good novella/short story. I need to get through my shifter series first. I appreciate your thoughts and comments!

    Chapter 1

It takes a long time for society in general to change its way of thinking. There's still a long way to go. It would be amazing if one day acceptance was the rule rather than the exception. Hopefully stories like this can show how someone's sexuality/identification does not drop them into a box of pre-conceived opinions. I don't fully understand all the nuances of the LGBTQIA+ community, but I'm willing to learn. Thanks for commenting!

    Chapter 1

You're very welcome. The biggest thing that strikes me about this site is the fact that it is so inclusive. Truly every letter in the LGBTQIA+ spectrum is represented. I wanted to stretch my writing wings and challenge myself in a way I haven't done before. This platform allowed me to do it. I learned a lot. I'm happy you did too.

    Chapter 1

Thank you. I've been toying with the idea of a non-binary character for a while. I don't think I'm ready to take on a full length story though. This format let me challenge my writing skills. I'm not going to lie, it was tough keeping track of pronouns, and even tougher tackling how to portray the emotions of a non-binary character when it came to figuring themselves out. I personally don't know anyone who is non-binary, so getting inside Shay's head was iffy at best. Mental illness I have experience with. I've seen firsthand how hard the struggle can be. I'm not sure this is a masterpiece, but I am happy with how it came out. 😘

    Chapter 1

The story deals with a subject that resonates with a lot of people. Mental illness affects not only those who have it, but their families, friends and co-workers too. Thanks for commenting!

    Chapter 1

Thanks weinerdog. My son struggles with a lot of issues. He's finally reaching out for help. As a parent it breaks my heart to see what's happening. It not only affects him, but my husband and I have to deal with it every day. I'll never understand how a mom or dad can abandon their child, physically or emotionally. Shay went through a lot. I'm glad I was able to cover as much as I did. It's a shame when insurance companies dictate services. It's one of my pet peeves. ❤

    Chapter 1

Thanks so much. Your feedback means a lot. As a writer my goal is to make my readers feel a wide range of emotions. I'm glad I succeeded. I think a lot of Shay's mothers hatred stemmed from her mental illness. It's a reality that is all too common. Therapy, especially when you find the right therapist can help tremendously. Still, those who struggle with any type of mental illness often have an uphill battle every day. I hope that anyone who is dealing with such issues can reach out and get the help they need. Thanks again! 💜

I'm positive Shay reached out to his best friends. I'm also sure they welcomed him back into their lives with open arms. Thanks for commenting!
  19. Some days are easy. Some aren’t. Today was one of the latter. I’ll be the first to admit, I’m not the easiest person in the world to figure out. It took me forever to discover I didn’t fit into a world that expected me to act a certain way. Even as a little kid, I never felt truly comfortable in my skin. My parents didn’t know what to do with me. By the time I hit puberty, I was a mess. Their solution? Therapy. Lots of it. In the beginning, I was a real pain in the ass, and I gave ev
