Naming characters is rarely simple for me. Especially with this shifter series. A lot of the main characters have correlated meanings with their names. My geeky beta @Danilo Syrtis usually manages to figure out a lot of them. Cassiel's name has dozens of meanings, depending on what site you are on. Therefore, there are plenty of hints in his name alone. Huntington is crafty. His protection is probably the result of this. Trevor will be dealt with and even though it's in a way no one has thought of (yet), it will be satisfying. Like I mentioned before, Elijah has a rocky road ahead if him, with or without potentially finding a mate. I'm sure everyone is relieved the boys are finally on the way to Montana.

I'll have to throw @Mrsgnomie a bone here. She suggested something similar for the actual town name. I decided it needed a translation and this worked for me.

I'm not sure Elijah even realized the knife was poisoned. This wad the first shifter-related death he's even encountered and it being Kage his mind was too preoccupied dealing with that. Cassiel rambled? I like to think he was educating Elijah. Sebastian can do whatever he damn well pleases. He's fucking badass!

I think Elijah is protecting Tyler and his family. He still doesn't trust Cassiel. By not mentioning Tyler he's keeping him and his family off the Fae's radar.

I love throwing in the little twists to see how many readers pick up on them. I've left a lot of teeny tiny clues in this story that I'm pretty sure a lot of you are going to have a face palm moment when you realize the answers have been there all along. Things like the Chevy are obvious. Trust me, there's a lot more that aren't.

Hopefully I've earned a bit of forgiveness. Am I sorry that Kage died. Yes. Am I sorry it had to be written. No. I'm pretty sure that at this point in my writing career, Elijah is the character who has to jump over the most hurdles on the road to finding his HEA. He still has a few to get over. Trevor.... hmmm. Even though he's not a major character, he's the type that keeps you guessing. It may be a while before there's any resolution to his involvement. Cassiel being Fae gives him an advantage. He can read auras so he sees the truth in Elijah. Thor/ Chris Hemsworth.... what's not to like? 🤤🤤

I have no plans to delve into the Fae world. Shifters are keeping me busy enough. Elijah is going to have a tough road ahead of him. I'm glad he had Tyler for support.
