I can vouch for that...I dislocated my shoulder when I slipped on ice and I was in my early 20s at the time. Not fun, so be careful everyone who has to deal with that nasty stuff!

Good morning all! Nothing like starting a new job and having 2 of your 3 maintenance guys call out. "Car issues". 🤔Ummm...wasn't born yesterday dudes. Oh well, it's not my first baptism by fire and won't be the last. I will admit though... there's a huge difference between the alarm going off at 5am, compared to 6! I'm looking forward to this new challenge. I just hope these new residents don't eat me alive! Have a good day!

Tampa Bay for the win!! 🏈❤❤❤🏈

I love the commercials too. It's going to be hard to top Match.com's commercial with Satan matching up with 2020. One of the funniest commercials I have ever seen! I've got my crackers and cheese, blackberry whiskey on ice and I'm all set!

Well, we bit the bullet and booked our flights to Mass in May. Had to book an airbnb too. My mother in law got a cat and my husband is allergic. We've always stayed with her, but he'd be sick the whole time. If we can't get vaccinated by then at least I can cancel and rebook with no penalties. The dog sitter is probably going to cost as much as the airbnb lol. For those watching the Superbowl tonight.....GO BUCS!

The Godfather is going to get a call from "God"...can't wait for the results. 😆 Will is definitely Brad's Mini-me. He will be a major force to be reckoned with in the future...with Stef, JP and Brad as role models...watch out world, he's more than halfway there. Great chapter!

I'm not shoveling. I'm contemplating getting plane tickets to go up to Mass for Memorial Day weekend. The only issue I have is I'm afraid my husband's asshole brother will also decide to visit. I Can. Not. be anywhere near him. I realize there will be times when we have to put up with him, but it will be limited to funerals or weddings. Period. On a lighter note...I think we'll go check out one of the local farmer's market that we haven't been to. I need to get outside for a bit. Have a good day!

TC and David have a LOT of things to figure out in this story. It's really different than my first two. I got in a little over my head, but I learned so much about something I knew absolutely nothing about. This story goes through a major evolution, both characters find out a lot about themselves and how to have a successful relationship while staying true to themselves. I hope you stick with it. There's a lot of ups and downs. Keep an open mind. Thanks for reading and commenting CincyKris!

Live as well as you can today This says it all. No one is guaranteed a tomorrow. Compassionless arrogant apes are we So many want so much, yet refuse to do the hard work because the truth of who they really are scares them and they cower behind their arrogance. Nicely done tim. Thanks for sharing.

It made me laugh too...after the fact. Especially seeing how the sound is exactly the same on our computers at work if we leave volume on. Doggos are now sleeping. My life is actually pretty boring. I just happen to get into mischief once in a while. I use humor as a coping mechanism. It helps.

Long day today. Plus a little overwhelming. I was officially handed over the keys and the work cell phone. She left the volume all the way up on the phone and after I got home a notification came thru from the Leasehawk app which is supposed to sound like a hawk screeching. Let's just say both dogs went ballistic. Scared the bejezus outta me. It was nice to get home and go for a walk. The weather is back to flip flop wearing so that’s good. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Sleepy and decidedly not a morning person, I can soooo relate! Camping, candy, cake.” Avery cocked his head. “And ...” My mind went down a totally different path.. ☺ He said you could help me get some OxyContin." Knew this wasn't going to end well... Lee hugged Greg hard MASSIVE progress. (Although undone in a nanosecond) Lee and Avery took seats on the futon. Each took a tablet. Lee swallowed his then chased it with grape Fanta. He grinned as Avery copied him. MASSIVE mistake! You're killing me here!! I'm hoping that the adults will realized that Lee has not left the camp recently and has not had the opportunity to score drugs. It's easy to think the worst of someone who has a history. Hopefully the evil author will give Lee and Avery a fair trial. Giving teenagers a measure of independence is the scariest thing a parent or guardian can do, but it's necessary for them. Kids do not, I repeat, Do. Not. make good choices all the time. Their brains have not developed the capabilities needed to figure shit out. (Even though they know everything! ) Everyone seems to be at a crossroad. Decisions are now in the sole hands of you, Mr. Gray. Choose wisely. (Corbin will be watching closely) I'm trusting you. (Even though Eddie will surely make an appearance...or maybe a disappearance? Harlan did make it a point to know everything worth knowing...hrrmmm 🤔) Brilliant chapter Wayne.

@Mikiesboy Thank you. And yes, we do miss you, but you do what's best for you. We'll be here for you when you're ready.

Thanks everybody. I just got home. The boss took us out to dinner so that was nice. @spyke Most mornings have been in the low 50s/high 40s. Today was the coldest. We had to kick in the heat at work for a few hours. I've worn socks and boots all week. My feet hate me and are demanding flip flops. I'm pretty sure that if I even walk near my husband's sock drawer tomorrow my feet will voluntarily amputate themselves and run away. Luckily it's supposed to hit the low 70s so....back to flip flops...yay! Once again...thanks for the support. It really means a lot.

Hey everybody! Well, I was offered the management position yesterday and needed to mull it over for a bit. I accepted it today. It's going to be a bit of a challenge, but everyone here thinks I can do it and I believe I can too, and that's the most important thing. I'm looking forward to it! I will admit, money was a major part. Its roughly $12k more a year...our rent went up $172 per month so the extra income is needed. Upper management will be here until tomorrow. It's always mentally exhausting when they're here. Our current regional manager is a massive type A personality. The guy who is taking over for him is close. I had to scrape frost off my car's windshield this morning. With my driver's license because I haven't owned an ice scraper in 13 years. We also had to break down and turn the heat on. That stuff stinks when the dust in the vents burns off. @mollyhousemouse...one more day to get through...it has been a long week. We got this. @chris191070...take things easy, one day at a time. I'm happy you're on the road to recovery Have a good day!
-
Sorry you had such a bad day. Once that pain train leaves the station it's hard to stop. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
-
That's perfect molly....thank you! 💙

Well....big bosses are in town and want to meet tomorrow about the manager position next door....anxiety level just kicked up a notch or ten.

My day was busy as well. I'm not a fan of the 1st of the month coinciding with payroll being due. Three hours of math kills me. Add in going through hours of camera footage to try to find out who's car hit two of our AC units over the weekend had my eyes bugging out! Should be an interesting week. The regional manager will be here within the next day or so, we'll see how it goes! We're not getting any storms, but the temps are dropping, with highs only in the 50s during the day for tomorrow and Wed, no real warm up until Friday. Stay safe and warm everyone!

Great minds think alike...1 large coffee this am and my ride home was accompanied by Def Leppard, Aerosmith, Queen and KISS.

Rock N Roll makes the world go round... Coffee is a necessity. 😃

So glad the worst is behind you and hopefully you'll be home soon. Twelve days in the hospital scares the hell out of me, but not for the reason you may think. A stay of that length would certainly cost a fortune here in the States. Even with insurance now, we'd still be out of pocket $15k easily. Thanks for the update Chris, so happy you're feeling better! Hope everyone has a good day!

That's great news Chris! I'm so glad you're finally on the mend.

I am tired, but not wiped out. I've rewarded myself with some crackers and cheese.....and blackberry whiskey on ice. 🙂
