So this kid I saw yesterday has been stuck in my head..... slowly morphing into a character for a story. The dog walk stirred up a few ideas. Hmmmm... guess I'd better finish up the story I'm working on... I've already put it on hold for two years, and there's only a few more chapters... lol

Those are platform shoes... another type I can't wear. I'd fall flat on my face.

Yesterday on my way home from work I saw a young guy, looked to be maybe early 20s. His outfit was something I've never seen before. Loose jeans, bright yellow hoodie, and I kid you not, thigh high, black leather, at least 6 inch, weapon grade, stiletto boots, which he rocked like no one I've ever seen. Honestly I was a smidge jealous. I've never been able to wear heels higher than a couple of inches, plus my husband is short. But the whole combination of casual jeans and sweatshirt....with thigh high stiletto boots?.... this kid absolutely owned it! I was impressed. I'm not sure how he managed to get those boots on over baggy jeans. Mad skillz. I'm working half day tomorrow, then taking the next 2 Saturdays off. I need it. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I just sort of roll with it. I hate having to change all the clocks that don't update themselves. You might get a kick out of this: https://fb.watch/9bs0SwV5zS/ Happy Hump Day everyone!

I cannot wait! It's an amazing process for a writer to have an idea take hold insistently in his/her head. Sometimes the idea morphs into something wonderful, sometimes it fizzles. I have a really good feeling this will be something wonderful. ❤

At this point I'd take the risk.... I burned half my dinner... wasn't paying attention and blackened a tortilla into an utter crispy horror. I need a cookie!

I will willing follow you down the dark path..... these are soooooo getting made. (I love cookies! Maybe if I freeze them individually it will help keep me from scarfing down the whole batch?)

@Reader1810 thanks for the link to Amy's site. I made both the cranberry/orange and the blueberry/almond banana breads. Both are really good, though I have to adjust the baking time, my oven runs hot and the cranberry ones were a little overcooked, bit still quite edible. I added walnuts to that one as well. My only gripe is orange zest. It takes forever to zest two teaspoons, let alone four when you double the recipe. Might have to look for a new zester. 🤔 Hope everyone is having a good day!

Are there any markings or imprints on the bottom? If not then in all likelihood it's a mass produced souvenir sold in gift shops. Most ceramic items of value have an identifying mark somewhere on them.

Damn Wayne! It's official.... you are now hands down the official Cliffie King. I really, really ,really (REALLY), hope the rest of the story speaks to you loud and clear. And soon. I've been jonesing for some of your Wayne's world! What the hell are you waiting for? Go ✍ ✍ ✍ ✍ ✍ ✍ ✍ ✍ ✍!!! ❤

Omg... she's a hoot! But alas...the banana surplus is my own fault. I forgot he was going and we've been on a banana kick lately so I should've known he'd get some. I'll give Sasha a try. Thanks! I've earmarked the cranberry orange banana bread and the blueberry one too.... thanks Reader!

Ok DiC peeps. I need help. I forgot that yesterday my husband said he was going to the store today. We now have 15 bananas (as well as six packages of whole wheat English muffins that were bogo☺) Any good banana-based recipes?? I usually make the good old stand-by Betty Crocker recipe for banana nut bread, but I'd like to try something new/different and relatively healthy. These bananas will hit ripe in a day or so and overripe by Monday or Tuesday. Any suggestions? 🙂 Hope y'all are having a good evening!

Florida is filled with abundant wildlife. Lots of birds, manatees, alligators, a few panthers, wild boars, etc,. We had a major incident happen right across the street from the corner of our property closest to my office which resulted in the Sheriff's department shutting down our whole end of the street. This meant our main entrance was not accessible for entry. I needed to open our emergency gate which is at the other end of the property, not blocked off but I don't have a clue where the extra clicker is. So I called my maintenance guy who tells me to go down to the gate and he'll talk me through getting it open manually. I get to the gate, my guy tells me to find the breaker box behind one of the houses, open it and flip the breaker off and the gate will open. I find the box. Open it...... And scream at the top of my lungs when a damn gecko jumps out at me. Fricken lizards 🦎😳

This is a good reminder for me. I'm definitely not a morning person. I still need to work on being a little less growly the first couple of hours I'm up. At least until the coffee kicks in. It's hard to find the right frame of mind at 530 in the morning. Thanks for posting these. It's good to see you back rick. Have a nice day everybody!

Snowcaps and popcorn work too! 🤭

I wish I had used that line on my kids when they were little! We just outright swiped their candy. 🤣 Whoppers were always my "go to" for movie candy. Nowadays I find myself mentally calculating the sugar and calories.... it's a pass (most of the time). I will cave occasionally and find myself unwrapping a couple of Hersheys kisses. Mmmmmm.....

Happy Halloween to you to! I'm partial to anything with caramel in it. (Unless there's coconut in it too.. *gag*) Have a good day everyone!

I remember when I commuted from Annapolis to Arlington and the D.C. traffic report seemed to take at least 10 minutes to listen to. It was culture shock moving to Florida and having a traffic report last about 20-30 seconds.

It sort of makes sense... If people are taking a long weekend then it's usually Fri-Mon...or Thurs-Sun... or Sat-Tues. Wednesday is the red-haired step child of the week. People are like... f@#! it...I might as well work.

Sounds like your mother-in-law has found a way to channel herself from beyond. Damn he sounds like a spoiled brat 5 year old. Smart move cutting off the personal taxi service. Don't worry about the ranting.... it's all good. We all need an outlet sometimes! Hope you have a better weekend Kitt.

There is no rhyme or reason to traffic in my area (Sarasota/Bradenton). Snowbirds and tourists affect traffic on a daily basis. I found that in the morning if I leave my house later than 620 it adds a few minutes to my commute. Coming home is always a crap shoot. This morning was an anomaly. I didn't hit one single red light in the whole 15 miles. I thought I was in an episode of The Twilight Zone. Have a nice Friday everyone!

How in the hell does a brand new air conditioning unit stop working!! And why does it have to be in the middle of the highest humidity we've had all month?? Not the best way to start off the week. 🙄🥵🤬🤨 I give up.

As of today it's been 29 years and quite a rollercoaster ride since I walked down the aisle of the church I grew up with. I don't go to church anymore, but my heart still belongs to the man I married. ❤ Hope you all have a good day!

'Bout damn time you dropped in. 🤣
