And they're usually the same ones who are miserable when everyone else is happy!

Found this recipe online. Looks like zucchini is getting put on the grocery list: Florida Zucchini Ricotta Rollups https://www.followfreshfromflorida.com/recipes/florida-zucchini-ricotta-rollups-2?fbclid=IwAR33j-63scPUB8svBI1Yp4q3N8Fvb-E6tsRXPlJzPa8vthQUsNWxHYSJzEg

Has anybody heard from @Ashi lately? I hope he's OK.

Good to hear from you rick! Take care and we're here whenever you feel like shoutin' out a 'hey'. *hugs*

Totally agree. The previous manager nearly destroyed our relationship with our lawn guy. He couldn't stand her and the residents would complain. I had a resident yesterday come in to tell me that last time they mowed his house got skipped. He's new and the prior resident cut his own grass. I told him I'd take care of it, shot a text off to my lawn guy Steve and within two minutes he text back that he'd take care of it. Boom. The lot was added back on the mow list. The resident looked at me and said "really? It's that easy?" Rule number 1- NEVER EVER piss off your contractor. Why anyone would be so rude is beyond me 🤷♀️

Sad, but moving words. Heartbreak always weighs heavy on one's emotions. Well written tim.

Came in to six more messages from my crazy resident who wants me to come in at dawn to open the pool just for her. The first five ripped me apart every which way....borderline threatening. All of those were Saturday night. The last one on Sunday morning was an apology...🙄🤦♀️ She's threatened legal action which means if she tries to contact me again I get to tell her that all correspondence to the office must be in writing. She can't call or stop in. Period. Kinda feel bad because I'm pretty sure she's either high or drunk most of the time. Not a great way to spend your retirement. Hope everyone is having a good day. I've been crazy busy. We now have 3 potential people that we interviewed. Gotta set up seconds and then decide. All three are good so it's going to be hard.

Reminds me if another quote I often see posted...(you've probably posted it here already): No one can do everything, but everyone can do something. You're right about people doing the right thing....it's just too bad that so many either choose wrong or in many cases, were never taught right from wrong. Thanks for sharing tim.

I just got promoted to property manager for a 55+mobile home commuity.. aka I'm a glorified babysitter for old folks with waaayyy to much time on their hands...lol. it's challenging, but I like it so far. High schools don't have as much drama! Headache has dialed back a bit. Still there...but more of an annoyance than anything.

@Reader1810. A few weeks ago you said that my life sounded like an adventure and I said no, it really wasn't. I hereby rescind that declaration. In the past three weeks I have had more adventures with my new job of Ringmaster of a three ring circus than I could ever imagine. The monkeys are mine and I have to deal with them. I get it. It's part of the job. I may end up in a straight jacket by the end of the year, but hell, it just might be worth the ride. My latest monkey is pissed at me because I won't open the pool at the crack of dawn so she can swim by herself. (The HOA handles it, not me. The company pays to heat the pool and the cover isn't taken off unless it's 70 degrees). No less than six messages on my voice-mail, each progressively more nasty. The final one stating that I will never verbally abuse her again. (I told her 'no' nicely and the reasons why.) I am now keeping track of all this and it's starting to morph into a story line. So when I'm done with writing the one I'm working on....voila! New voices to join the ones already floating around my head. I have a feeling that the work adventures just won't stop with this job! 🤭🤣🙄🤔🙄🤦♀️

The headache actually started yesterday morning. The wine just gave it a push. I get these headaches that last 4 or 5 days when I'm stressed. My son discovered the Rediwhip, so I doubt there's any left. Today's a new day, so despite the hammer in my brain I'm going to make the best of it. It's also my mom's 90th birthday today. ❤ Have a good day!

I need the chocolate to help with the headache I got from the wine. (They didn't have much of a whiskey selection). It was a fun evening. Nice to be out in the open and the sunset was pretty. Narrowed dinner down to Mahi Mahi and crabmeat with roasted veggies or Bourbon Salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Wonder which one I chose? 🥃🤔

Another wonderful story in the adventures of the gang at Camp Refuge. Lee's story is is about learning life's lessons the hard way. It's about youth and the choices that have to be made on the tough road to adulthood. It's also about finding friendship and learning that there are people out there that you can trust, learn from, and most of all love. Kudos Wayne.

Currently sitting at an outside table at a beach restaurant drinking wine 😁

Is today National Bitch Day and nobody told me? It's been one of those days. Started out on the wrong foot and the snowball is still rolling downhill at full speed. Ugh...

**sigh** Honestly, I'm disappointed. Disappointed that it had to end. Lee and Avery both made a huge leap forward(both figuratively and literally) on their road to maturity. I understand the need to jump forward by a large chunk of time. It just drives me nuts because I love this saga and feel like I'm missing out on a part of their lives. On one hand it would've been amazing to watch (read) their growth as they figured out they weren't kids anymore. But on the other hand an author can't force the characters to give up all the nitty gritty details. It's either there or it's not. If it doesn't feel right then the 'delete' key is the only option. Been there and took that pony for a ride. Overall it really was a good ending. Sweet touch with the wedding. (You FINALLY let them have a sunny day!) Harlan is Harlan. I like the dude. You've got a great segue for another story so..... Go...have a nice little "Come to Wayne" moment with those voices in your head and quietly encourage them to cough up another story!! Thank you Mr. Gray....don't make us wait to long. Things might get ugly. 😁

Sorry you have to deal with all of this. Speaking from experience if your stepson and his wife continue to be an issue and you are the occupant of the land per your dad's estate you could try to have them trespassed next time they give you a hassle about leaving. It works in FL so hopefully the same in TX. You might also want to look into non profit organizations that help with home repairs. If you want some guidance you can pm me and I'll try to steer you in the right direction. I know that seniors have options in Fl and some of the organizations are nationwide. Family dynamics can really suck sometimes. Good luck dealing with all of this.

Fact: I buy whipped cream in a can maybe once a year, usually during the holidays. Someone gave us an apple pie and my husband said it would be good with some Rediwhip. So I got some. Now when my kids were young I'd pull out the can and they'd be on me in a flash "MOM! Just one hit! Pleeeaaazzzzzeee!" And of course I'd cave and create a whipped cream mountain in their big mouths. Tonight I'm all by myself in the house and I open the fridge to get stuff out for dinner, spy the can, all shiny and new and this loud voice in my head says "Just one hit!" We all know how it ended. 😊🤤 Hope y'all had a good day. @rickproehl Take it easy. Take the time you need to focus on conquering your demons. You got this.

I did some stupid crap in my teens and thankfully no physical record of it exists. This will pass and hopefully with no lasting repercussions. Thanks Chris! 🥰 Me too. He's so impulsive. Has been since he was little. We've talked about this kind of thing and he always said he'd never do anything like that, but it really doesn't surprise me. He's immature for his age and craves acceptance from his peers. Plus over the weekend my husband finally told one of his sisters what their brother did to our son. She has 2 grandsons and another due soon. We want her to know so she can make sure he's never alone with any little kids. Thankfully she believed us and is fully supportive. So my son knows we told his aunt so I'm sure that's just another whack to his mental psyche. I just wish this kind of stuff didn't make me feel like a failure as a parent. He's definitely my more challenging kid.

I think I am at that point where I'm sliding off the bone done. Work is crazy busy. I'm sorting through files and finding so much stuff we don't need/use. Weekly call with my field manager leaves me mentally exhausted. He only has one speed...full throttle. Then I get home and find out my son did something extremely stupid and is finding out the hard way why it's not OK to text inappropriate pictures to a "friend". I just hope that it doesn't cause a major setback with his mental health.. *sigh*

I really really could've used some more facetime with my pillow this morning. I hope everyone has a good day. @Fae Briona nothing but positive thoughts headed your way!
