spyke, I never even considered the connection of how TC was raised and the type of Dominant he became. I guess my brain must have been aware of it on some level but until you pointed it out, I hadn't given it much thought. Hmmm....maybe I need therapy too! It makes sense though that TC was brought up in a tightly controlled environment and now the need to control every aspect of his life. And, nope, not gonna have a "lightbulb" moment for him in therapy where he realizes how controlling he is. TC is TC, warts and all. He's been a challenge to write and I sorta like who he is. He has really tested my writing skills such as they are. He's the type of character who will always keep you wondering.

Haha! TC is definitely not everyone's cup of tea. He does have a soft side that will show up in a few chapters, not to mention Lyssa has him wrapped around her little finger! Headaches have finally backed off, gonna take it easy this weekend. I'm trying to get all the final editing done on this one. It also needs an epilogue to tie up the loose ends. Thanks FanLit!

@Fae Briona, you have my deepest condolences. Letting go is always hard no matter how old you are. I'm sure that you and SP will hold each other up in the days ahead. Having someone to be your rock, especially with having difficult family members makes a big difference. Cherish your memories of your mom and let them comfort you. We're here if you need us. ❤

I think Ashi's going to be a little jealous! I know I am. It's been a while since I've had soft serve, I'm more of the chocolate dip with peanuts fan. Hmm, I miss the old local ice cream stands. Time for me to hit the hay. The headache seems like it wants to hover just on the edge of my brain. Maybe some sleep will push it away completely. Goodnight all.

I think Cassie ( A Tattoo for Lex) would LOVE Lyssa! (Hmm, maybe a future story crossover idea?) Definitely takes no prisoners. She's got brass ones!😂 Owen will always be the comedian. It's just his nature. Thanks spyke!

Thanks chris! David's family is super important to him. I wasn't sure if I'd hear from you tonight. You must be a night owl. Isn't it like 1am where you are? 😉😀 Thanks for staying up and commenting!

David woke up on Monday morning to the sound of TC’s alarm on his phone. He let his mind drift back to that still half asleep stage, knowing that TC would be his snooze alarm. Sin was once again in the middle of him and TC and he too stirred at the annoying sound. David automatically threw his arm over Sinclair’s waist and scooted closer. His hand ended up resting on TC’s hip, so he stretched it just a little further so it was resting on his ass cheek instead. TC’s chuckle rumbled through

Thanks rick, this is well timed. Kitt, this is a lesson that can never be taught enough. spyke, everyone needs to be reminded sometimes that they are enough, thanks. Today was the first day since last Sat that I woke up without a headache. The a/c at work was fixed by noon, so I'll take the two wins for the day. Have a good evening everyone.

Headaches are starting to ease up, as long as I keep on top of the ibuprofen intake. TC has not bottomed for David.....yet. He merely said that it needed to happen. He is adamantly sticking to his guns and imposing a moratorium on sex so they can concentrate on getting to know each other. When the sex happens, y'all will know it! Also, TC will make it crystal clear why he is willing to bottom for David. Be patient. The "triad/threesome/throuple" scene was written a long time ago, so it cracked me up when you mentioned it earlier. Thanks for the good thoughts, I'm getting there.

Hey Everyone, I'm back amongst the land of the living, sort of. Took the day off yesterday, a quiet environment and some extra sleep along with way too much ibuprofen managed to turn the headaches from an enraged tiger on a rampage to a pissed off kitten. Claws are still sharp though. Got to work today, stepped in the office snd said 'why is it so hot in here'? Lo and behold the A/C for the front is out. Luckily the main community center is ok, so I set all 3 thermostats on 70, opened the double doors, and had maintenance get one of their industrial fans to blow the air down the hall. So far it's helped a lot. Heat and headaches don't mix well with me. It's a major trigger. So now I'm sitting here on my lunch and we're having a quick downpour. My car windows are open. I really really really need this week to be over. I wish we could reset our brains like @mollyhousemouse reset her computer. I hope your headaches are better molly. @Fae Briona still sending peaceful wishes your way. I see myself in your shoes in the near future. @MichaelS36 I hope you and tim are doing ok. @rickproehl I think if I woke up to jackhammer outside my window at any point in the past few days I'd be in jail on murder charges. I hope everyone is doing alright. This seems to be a pretty sucky week for a lot of us. Let's hope better days are coming soon.

Thanks chris! Things are moving along and yes, so far Sinclair seems to be fitting in. We'll see.

TC had deliberately missed his therapy appointments for the past two weeks. He also had just admitted it to Dr. Ng. He had just told him all about the night at the club and the past weekend at his house. “So let me see if I understand correctly. You deliberately cancelled your last two appointments because you decided to go to a club with David on the advice of an eighty-some odd year old British sex therapist, where together you discovered a submissive, Sinclair, who you ended up asking o

Wow, the past couple of days have been tough. Every so often I get slammed with excruciating headaches that come and go in waves over the course of several days. This current bout started Saturday and shows no sign of slowing down. Day 3 and it still feels like someone is randomly jabbing a white hot ice pick thru my skull and into the back of my eye. Yesterday was worse, 6 ibuprofen took the edge if for maybe 2 hours. Not much I can do but ride it out. Usually it last 4 or 5 days, but a week isn't unheard of. @Fae Briona I'm so sorry about your mom. I'll be thinking of you and wishing your mom peace. I hope everyone else has a good day/week.

Hmmmm...... Well tim, you have successfully piqued my curiosity. Resistance is indeed futile.. Full asssimilation may take some time, but you have gotten the cogs in my head moving at a little bit faster pace than the sluggish plodding it normally does. What I really like about your poetry is the way that you use it as a tool to help you deal with whatever you are going through at the time. This applies to both the good things and the bad. The older I get, the more I realize that I really need to find an outlet for some of my emotions. I don't know if poetry is the answer, but..... I'd like to give it a try. Life's lessons can't be learned unless one is willing to try to understand. I've jotted down some thoughts so far. Now it's time to brush up on the how to's. I'm the type of person who likes things balanced, so finding the right rhythm is important. I'm sure I'll figure it out. It just might take some time. If I end up crashing and burning trying to write a bit of prose, well, that's OK. Like you've said.... it's not for everyone. I'll still enjoy reading what you write and may even take a gander at some other people's poetry. I'll approach it like a cheesecake sampler. Can't go wrong with that! Thanks again tim. K

That was us last night. Big dog finally emerged from the closet about 5 minutes ago but is still afraid to go out. Had to push him out the door. He's such a wimp! More storms forecast for the next several days. Rainy season...ugh. I'm hoping that Laura stays off the coast far enough, otherwise we're gonna get soaked. Have a good day!

I'm glad you're enjoying the dynamics! The knot exercise wasn't abusive. Just keep in mind that Sinclair can refuse to do whatever is asked of him at any time. Neither TC nor David would force him to do something he wasn't comfortable doing....that would be abusive. This relationship is 100% consensual. Sinclair wants this. TC will explain the reason for it later on. Sin will have a different relationship with TC and David. Yes, TC is more intense as a person so naturally that shows more. David is more laid back and that's how he and Sinclair will be. Thanks for your point of view Jack!
-
There have been many times that I wish that I had gone with my gut.
-
Sensual can be just as fun to write too! Sinclair’s head is an interesting place for me as a writer to be. He has a heart of gold. I like the way you put that Quixo. Exploring everything new through Sin. It's a fun way to look at things. I'm still happy you're enjoying this!

Entirely true in my case. I tend to be quite literal sometimes in interpreting what I read. Probably why I always had difficulty with poetry. That and the fact that I also don't like to be told what to read. Being forced to read and interpret poetry in school turned me off. Having the choice and the curiosity (plus the 'wisdom' of age) to explore tim's writings allowed me to actually 'get' something from it and that made all the difference. Apparently you can teach an old dog a new trick.

Seeing someone you love slip away is one of the hardest things to go through. It doesn't matter if it's physical, mental or emotional, it still hurts. I'm sorry you have to go through this Fae.

I absolutely agree. There is no such thing as social distancing in any type of close contact sport. Many (but not all) of the college conferences have canceled their fall season, hoping that it might resume in the spring. Most others have reduced their schedules. Regardless of precautions, school age kids, especially high school and college are not mentally or emotionally mature enough to adhere to the protocols in place to try to keep them safe. I see it in my own kid and damn the consequences to me for being a nagging bitch of a mom, I ride his ass to wear a mask when he goes out. The Univ of N. Carolina has already shuttered the dorms and transitioned to online classes after -surprise!- several cluster outbreaks in dorms. This was after a mere two weeks. I am really grateful that this is the year that I finally don't have a child in the school system. My oldest has one semester left, two courses, both of which are being held online. As much as I will miss the atmosphere and excitement of seeing a game and listening to him and the band get the crowd going, I'm happy he decided not to participate this year.

You are the second person today who told me that I made them smile, so I consider the day a success. I'm either going to be enlightened or brainwashed, but thankfully can't gain a few pounds from it.....hmmmmm🤔🤣 There are definitely worse fates. Next time the "shit" in my head spins around like a tornado, I'll try following your lead and see if I can channel it into some kind of fertilizer and try my hand at poetry. Your words have settled nicely and I'm positive it will get better from here on out. You're a good soul tim. xo

Awwww.... I'm glad this chapter made your week better. I know how those go! TC and David know each other so well that subtle works for them quite well. Mushrooms? Nasty fungus, I agree, but it's one of those subtleties that David and TC have reached an agreement on. David doesn't mind picking them off because they don't leave behind a gross aftertaste like peppers do. Ugh. David probably foisted off the fungus on TC. Ewww. 🤢🍄😂

Thanks chris! It's an interesting dynamic that they're developing and you're right, the learning curve is steep. Whether or not it actually will work remains to be seen. Thanks for commenting! 😀
