The story is only beginning to unfold. I find your comment indicating that the author is taking us on a "perverted journey" highly rude and offensive.
If you don't like the direction the story is going... do us all a favor and stop reading.
This short story is a fun read. Evan and Gene have no idea what they've gotten themselves into when they are stranded during a snowstorm. Thinking their savior is a little weird is just the tip of the iceberg. Grab a cup of coffee or tea and settle down for a brilliantly pleasant read.
Liam is one of my favorite characters. He's a great kid. Danny is one of those characters that I wish could have developed more, but it wasn't meant to be.
People need to learn to mind their own damn business. The only one entitled to comment on your relationship status or weight is you. Back off Boomer. Sorry you had to deal with that ignoramus.
Reality has come crashing down on both Andrew and Matt. They have come face-to-face with the consequences of one decision... Andy choosing to write a book about human trafficking and Matt's when he chose to hang out with Danny.
It's not looking good for either of them.
Great job tim!
Great interview!
I just started doing the anthologies last year and I'm so happy I did. It gives me a chance to try new things with writing and to get a story out there that might not otherwise have made it onto the site.
I'm working on this year's submission and hope to finish it up soon.
It's tim's story... he's the one who gets to decide. Plus, I think it'd appropriate that Black call Andrew by his first name. He seems like the type who has a god-like superiority complex so by being familiar it sets the tone that he knows he's the one in charge.
Starkly honest words from Mr. Black.
He is obviously a businessman who has taken advantage of an extremely niche market. He knows what he does is not morally or ethically right. He also doesn't care. His attitude makes one wonder what happened in his life to allow him to get to where he's at.
Excellent chapter, my friend.
Probably, although I suck at chess and bungee jumping would have to be for a reeeaaaaalllyyyyy good cause. I think I'd prefer skydiving over bungee jumping... at least I'd be strapped to someone else who knew what they were doing.
Excellent build up to the upcoming auction, tim.
Would I go to such lengths for a story? I'm not sure. If I knew that it would make a huge difference... maybe.
Sounds a little Nightmare on Elm Street-ish.
Here in Florida it is currently 85 and its overcast. We're supposed to get some thunderstorms today so it's overcast. That should keep the temperature in the low 90s. But it's humid... ick.
I hope everyone has a good day!
