Peeking from the upstairs bathroom door, I slowly crept out into the hallway. I looked left and right, gauging to see if it was safe to make a hasty exit. I couldn't believe someone had pissed on me. Well, not directly on me, but they might as well have. I scurried down to the ground level, keeping my eyes peeled for any sign of life. When I didn't see anyone, I ducked into the locker room, and the sounds of my team flooded the chamber. The rush of water and giggling of adolescent boys

The eerie somber solitude began to cascade to my ears. I have no idea why it was unsettling. You'd think by then I would be accustomed to such silence. After 7 PM, the majority of people that were in the swimming center had left. The minority who remained were either training in the upstairs gym or here in the swimming pool. I had been there a couple of times in the daytime, which always made me feel safe. At night-time, it seemed unnatural. Since I hadn't had a shower early that morning be

The ghostly pale light gloated from the ceiling and colored my skin a pale bluish-white. It had always done that at the Old Harbour swimming pool. On its rubber orchid white floor, I stood barefoot, anticipating the temperature of the chlorinated water. Would it be too cold this evening or just right? Practice consisted of simple dives and lengths of the pool, but that always made me hungry. Since dinner, I hadn't been all that hot. The fight with dad took everything out of me. I hated figh

Whistle And Pop Chapter 1
D.K. Daniels commented on Comicality's story chapter in Whistle And Pop Chapter 1
Ah this looks like it could be a nice 2 part series or something. I live in the countryside now, also moving from a large city, and the one thing I have come to notice is the absence of fireworks. I used to hear them all the time in Dublin, they'd drive my dog crazy. Yet, even though they are illegal to own here too, the Garda don't seem to be too strict on the folks who possess them, they just rather you do it in a big open field rather than a small close-knit neighbourhood. Anyway, I look forward to seeing where the story goes, keep up the awesomeness. -
Special Delivery is a really sweet short about a boys' mission to tell his best friend the feelings he has been harbouring. Yet, in the current word with its pandemic, Asher comes up with a creative way to share his awestruck emotions. The story is full of hope, and offers a nice little distraction. Absolutely worth a read.

Ah... You beat me to it. I was contemplating telling a story about the current pandemic, but I have time constraints lol. Who'd think in the current circumstances. In all, I really enjoyed this short. Utilising the drone is a creative approach to send a love letter. You'd think with the tech we have you'd be able to fly more than 15 minutes. I have a DJI Mavic Air, and christ you'd think for the amount you pay for it, you'd get more airtime. I have seen many Youtube videos and news snippets of folks being creative so they can still see people, but at a difference, and I think this one went down a sweet treat. At least, Asher has something to look forward to after the lockdown.

I guess the real question is; what will Aiden have to do to protect his little brother in the coming chapters? Perhaps the parents disappearance wasn't a coincidence. Thanks for reading, and commenting

Firing up my tablet, I wait for it to boot. All the effort I've gone over just to have my own device. A personal computer of my own; every question can be answered with a swipe of the finger, all entertainment just a tap of a whim. I still can’t believe how I persuaded Valorie, one of our previous set-ups. I did so much gardening that summer. Once I found out they had a lawnmower, I practically stole it every day to cut grass. I didn't once waste time relaxing during that stretch of the season.

I know strange, right? I'm intrigued by the idea myself. I guess I just have to see where it goes in my head. I looking forwarding to the advancement in the story Thanks

Sighing from boredom, I push against the window, blobs accumulating from rain, veins trickling down the pane, offering the same soothing effect I've endured the past 48 hours. Just wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the middle summer, with rain, and not being able to go out makes it's more like the winter months. Lorcan has his friends to entertain him online, but I don't have anybody who is willing to kill time with me. I reckon it is my own fault. I have a habit of not applying myself in school.

Aidan and Lorcan; brothers are young fosters trapped in their bedroom. During the wake of a heatwave in Ireland, they find themselves, bored. Yet, a downpour foils their plans for any fun outdoors. Tired and weary of sitting around the two siblings get to questioning what happened to their parents before they ended up in social care. Leading the two to work in cahoots on a hunt for information to find out the truth.

A strong entry from Comicality; heartwarming and fresh. The imagery is vivid; the plot simple, but beautifully crafted. In all honesty, I think this would do well if it were a short film. The characters and settings are unique; plus, I believe this is the first tale I have read by Comsie that has a lead female protagonist. For a short, sweet read this is definitely worth the time spent. Fancy yourself a sweetooth? Well, this story is remarkably sweet that it gives cavities a run for its reputation.

It's all good, thanks for the kind words Geron; they are much appreciated. For a bit I wanted to write a short about a father noticing his sons sexuality come about. I had nothing better to do the evening I wrote it so I dove in. Glad you liked it. Sorry for the long reply, the boyfriend and I where out sightseeing, we travel a lot so weekends are out busy times lol. -

Perhaps in the future, but this story had an easter egg within it. The character Austin Copeland is from my series Even If We Tried. I hope to get back to that again soon, but I thought it would be cool to write a new story, but give folks a little insight into where my other character Austin came from when they read my other series -

Glad it was relatable, I was aiming for something that felt believable. I guess that's the oldest saying in the book. "You have no idea what its like to be..." Once some time ago we were all teenagers, just some longer than others via mentality lol. Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed the story.:) -
