This is really the best kind of ending. Teared up when Vann lashed out, and when Caleb asked if he wanted to leave. Lots of real emotions. It takes time to navigate this stuff. Very well done. My heart is happy to see Caleb have everything he never even dreamed of…even if it’s not with me

Beep. Beep. Beep. His hand snaked out from under the covers and smacked the alarm he’d forgotten to turn off. He smiled at how different his life was from the day he was shot. “Let’s go home.” I love this. Everything happens for a reason. I’m sad Caleb went through everything he went through, but look at the life he has now? Wouldn’t change it for the world

Poor Vann!!! I’m glad he’s giving Caleb a second chance, but it’s sad to think he went all those years feeling rejected. “Why didn’t you want me?” “Oh, Vann. I always wanted you.”
