" falling in line" is an idiom that means to follow rules or do what is expected. Jeremy's rules and expectations are familial, and conditional, while Travis's are societal yet self imposed. With both, conformity being the only acceptable goal. It surprising just how calmly the Golden Child swallowed Travis's " self closeting"? Trouble on the horizon?

Jeremy is still that little bitch he needs to be to protect himself from those inner demons, at the same time with the meds/therapys help, possibly developing a filter. Jeremy's got a long road ahead him, I have complete faith that Mark will guide him through these detours, with his usual flair and expertise.👏

It's been my experience that the silent treatment only allows wounds to fester. It seems to me, that there's a usual cast of characters whose interaction, opinions and involvement are virtually non existent. A member of this family we all have great affection for, has been lied too, physically brutalized and isolated. Jeremy in my opinion, has done enough for now. Next move, Escorial. His focus should be on self health and his future going forward. Allow the Golden Child's minions to lick his wounds, or whatever else he may desire.

I will respectfully disagree. With the exclusion of Claire, Jeremy has made all moves to repair his relationship with Golden Child. Although for the life of me I'll never understand why? Jeremy has been mislead his entire life, by all those he believed to be his family and upon that realization, hurts their wittle feelwings! Somethings ass backwards here. At this point, the Crampton's are looking pretty good.

While Golden Child self medicates his severe trauma, with dick, I might be wondering if reconciliation with any of this deceitful clan is worth the effort. Where have the peace makers gone? Why is this only Jeremy's issue to set right?

Great chapter. Impressed with Golden Child's choices, allowing Jeremy to have his say, also not shutting him down as far as a future. Jeremy's works not done however, with an open line of communication between the two, perhaps both might better understand exactly the origins of their anguish. 🤔

Question please, was Jeremy the only person at the table the day of Jeremy's original outburst that did not know Bradley was not his bio daddy? Just finding it difficult to understand how that unshaved knowledge would not be taken into account while evaluating Jeremy's extreme reaction. Especially disappointing, JP.

I had similar thoughts on that post. Much of it could be said of Golden Child himself. To abruptly become aware that those whom your whole life you've been lead to believe we're your immediate family, we're not. And that they all knew makes it so much more of a betrayal. The fact that Jeremy is feeling remorse over his actions, proves the medication is fulfilling it's objective. It gave Jeremy that split second of calm to evaluate the situation and make an appropriate response. Hopefully it will also allow him to maneuver the relationship rebuilding to be done. He's made the first move.

Wait, Jeremy sat at a family meal, usual cast including Bradley and Will, two individuals He genuinely thought to be his biological Father and Brother, only to find out over toast, that, that was a lie and (wait for it) they all knew. Talk about removing a foundation stone. Jeremy has a melt down, hurls some hurtful, but trauma induced accusations, which all though factual were in design meant to cause pain. Lashing out with a inadequate mental capacity to restrain himself. Yet they all rush to comfort the Golden Child and his spineless father. And the cherry on top, Jeremy gets the crap beat out of him by said Golden Child, who's only consequence was to get his dorm suite completely redecorated.

As Jeremy's realizations of his alleged caused harm/betrayal become self apparent, a question remains as to consequences, if any, for harm/betrayal Jeremy himself endured at the hands of those He thought were his own flesh and blood. Most disappointing, but not least are JP and Stef's lack of outreach to Jeremy. The Golden Boy's immense support system seems only to feed his endless need for attention and victimization. A smidgen of introspection perhaps.

A "wow" emoji seemed lukewarm for my response, and anger? Well, just not the case. So here I go. These pages hold for me a aura of fantasy, intrigue and escape from the outside ugliness and day to day common place. Playful banter, pleasant, intelligent and heartfelt emotions. All in response to lovely and creative words penned for our benefit, by authors we both admire and adore. Yes Mark, thats you😏. With all due respect to personal beliefs, I find introducing above mentioned "outside ugliness" to these pages a disservice to it's readers. No offense intended. Just a hopeful recommendation.
