    Chapter 3 Bean

It looks like Jubal's luck is still going strong at this point, let's hope it stays that way 🤞. I like and understand Lucas thought's of their 'spoils' but I also understand Jubal having different thoughts, he wants what was his not what was someone else's. Speaking of which, the other items found on the horse, especially the bracelet and shawl, could be useful in proving their story when they meet the sheriff, it is likely that they were stolen from another victim/victims. If the items can be identified as stolen by said victim/victims then it helps to prove their case that the dead men were thieves and brought their fate on themselves. I'm hoping that the sheriff will also see things the same as Lucas and allow Jubal to keep some of the property or the extra horse as compensation, it would be fair. If these men were wanted for other crimes there may even be a reward for their capture, we can always hope, but I guess we will find out when they reach Bearpaw and meet the sheriff. Another great chapter that is a pleasure to read.
  5. You cannot beat homemade bread, it's the best bread anyone will ever eat.
  6. This tastes gorgeous with butter and pineapple jam (jelly if you're from across the pond)
  7. I enjoy my paid and unpaid work, both have inspired storylines for the stories I've written and probably will for a while. I try to take it easy to stop my doctor from moaning at me, most of my dialysis is done at home now so it's not too bad.
  8. The next batch will be multi-seeded bread rolls. 🤤
  9. I'm a self-employed retail consultant specialising in the jewellery and pawn-broking sector. Usually, I only work part-time and volunteer at a night shelter in my spare time and do the admin for them, the volunteering has its own rewards.
  10. What do you think guy's? Who fancies a slice?
  11. I usually bake it once or twice a week, but this is the first I've baked in about a month. I've been busy at work, this contract is taking up more of my time than I thought it would. Fingers crossed it will be finished in about six weeks, and then everything gets back to normal. 🤞
  12. My bread is cooling down and smells delicious 🍞 😀
  13. Got it and appreciate it, thank you

  15. Somehow I think they will all be gone before I get there 🥺 but the recipe might cheer me up 😀
  16. My mouth is watering thinking about it 🤤
  17. I'm good thanks, I've been taking it easy this weekend and writing more of my story. I put my feet up this morning to watch the Women's World Cup. There was some good exciting football played and I hoped The Lionesses would win but Spain was the better team today. I took my frustrations out on kneading the bread dough, lol. How are you Aod? I hope you're enjoying the weekend.
  18. I've got bread proving in the kitchen before I bake it. I love freshly baked bread. 🍞🥖
  19. wrong post lol, I'm half asleep
  20. It's nice being able to keep work separate when I'm working from home. This week I've spent as much time in shops as I have in the office, lol. It's called sod's law, lol
  21. That's one of those things with children, they have a tendency to grow up. Before you know it he will be asking you to buy him a beer, lol
  22. I don't know if it's a reflection or not, but each eye seems to have the same dark shape in it. I wonder what that is or what it's caused by. It could be a heavy bat being swung at it, 🤞

    Chapter 2 Stench

I think that's a great idea, it will mean more to them in sentimental value than its dollar value, it will be a personal memento.
