    Chapter 3

I wasn't expecting to read more about the band, if only because I assumed we would be finding more out about Silas in this chapter. But it's interesting to read about the dynamic between the various members. I'm suspecting that Silas' interaction with them has not yet finished. Damn good story, @Cynus! Looking forward to reading the next chapters.

    Chapter 2

I know silas is gay, but I'm hoping he keeps his 'date' with Chelsea. I have a feeling that she might be good for him. If only to help him to start trusting people again.

    Chapter 1

I think at least one other person has said it, but... Intriguing! I'll wait till I've read the next chapter before speculating further.
  4. Greetings, Page!
  5. We're also a big country with lots of people. NYC alone has been hard hit. If you check the table on this website, you will see that the total number of confirmed cases per million of population in the USA compares fairly favourable with the rest of the world. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/?utm_campaign=homeAdvegas1?/embed/fd0k_hbXWcQ The figure for the USA is 1,397 The figure for the UK is 959 The figure for Germany is 1,394 The figure for Spain is 3,261 And for Ireland it's 1,331 It's bad - but it could be a hell of a lot worse.
  6. All we can do, Albert. It is what it is. What will be will be (or, in Spanish: Que será será.)
  7. Indeed it is, Albert. Indeed it is.
  8. Hi, young Albert! All well with you and yours, I hope.
  9. According to the Farmers' Almanac it is a PA Dutch thing. https://www.farmersalmanac.com/what-is-an-onion-snow-21202 The same article says: "Another late-spring snow term to originate from the Pennsylvania Dutch is a “sapling bender,” referring to when it snows heavily in the spring, bending the branches of the new saplings."
  10. A lyrical lament indeed, Gary!
  11. I did consider saying "Frenchies" rather than "Frenchmen" Maybe I should have done.

  13. Good luck with the application, Val And i doubt if a little snow will bother our resident penguin...
  14. The majority of my nephews are taller than me. Now ask me if I even care.
  15. Happy Thursday, all! Turning out to be a good day here. Garden time again, methinks.
  16. Not to mention what he's hiding in his sporran....
  17. I'm not even going to pretend to understand that.
  18. Hi, Drew! Many happy returns. A quarter of a century, huh? You're getting old...
  19. You've just reminded me that I have a chapter to edit for someone. Must get on with that later tonight. But first I have to write an email to the volunteer who will, tomorrow evening, be manning the helpline I'm associated with. The protocol for taking calls from home using a smartphone (as we are all under lockdown, so cannot use the usual office) has been changed, so I must give him the new login details. And, before I even do that, as it will be dark in around 45 minutes time, I must go and check the small bonfire I left burning in the new garden, and spread it out to make sure it stays safe.
  20. No more than you deserve, bud.
  21. Hi, Gary! It's been a good day so far, anyway. Got more work done in the garden. Hope yours goes good, also
  22. Go raibh maith agat, mo chara!
  23. Morning, clo! Happy Wednesday to you and everyone else. Still a bit overcast here in the northwest of Ireland, but it's dry and reasonably warm. Not quite as warm as where clo is, though. Currently around 11°C (52°F), with a high expected of 15°C (59°F).
  24. Shortly after 1am here, so I think I should head to bed. Managed to "pirate" a copy of Geography Club, and have just finished watching it (thanks for the recommendation, Gary ). Really enjoyed it. Largely a feel-good sort of film, although I did feel sorry for Kevin at the end. Could that possibly be because I could see so much of the younger me in him..? Night gang!
