  1. Sorry to hear that, Gary. Hope things pick up for you.
  2. It was a great song, Albert! The Lovin' Spoonful were one of my favourite bands back in the 60's Here's another of my favourite summer songs from 1970:
  3. Bonjour, Nick, mon ami grenouille!
  4. You've not been annoying Myr again have you, Albert?
  5. G'day, Albert! Site seems stable to me at the moment. Although last Sunday for a while I could't load any pages. Kept getting a message about some update GA were doing to the software, and a suggestion that I try again in a while. Hope all's well with you.
  6. Hi, Val! Sometimes on a Sunday I meet an old friend of mine for breakfast in the restaurant of a hotel about 20 miles (32 km) away. He lives about the same distance from it, but in the opposite direction. He had something else on today, so I made myself a breakfast at home. Shredded Wheat with blueberries and homegrown strawberries and a dash of honey, followed by scrambled free-range egg on toasted home-baked wholemeal bread, all washed down with freshly made coffee. I'll probably not feel like eating now until some time in the early evening.
  7. Morning, duggie. Mainly blue skies here at the moment. A pleasant 19°C/66°F.
  8. I did. The Havasu falls or something. I think that word means blue-green (or turquoise) - from the distinctive colour of the water. We swam in the river under the falls. Magical! (Now I really am going to bed.)
  9. We trekked in and out. They sent me off with a guide before sunrise the day we were leaving. Because I wasn't walking as fast as the rest of the crew, Well guys and gals. It's always great to chat with yous. But it's after midnight here, and I've had a few too many late nights recently. Think I'll head to my bed. 💤
  10. In the Grand Canyon? Our trek was on Native American land. The Haversupai Nation, if I remember correctly. We had to get official permits from them to enter their portion of the Grand Canyon.
  11. Yea, it is, Gary. It's over 20,000 kilometres long, I believe.
  12. I trekked in the Grand Canyon back in 2014. Up to now my one and only visit to the USA.
  13. Nor me. But I still like to get out hillwalking. Just have to accept I can't walk as fast nowadays... But that's life. The minutes fly, and the years roll by.
  14. I've shot an awful lot of crap as well!
  15. Here's a photo I took when I visited China back in 2016:
  16. And I've added you to my Safe senders list in Hotmail. So it shouldn't junk any more emails you might send me.
  17. It was easy enough. Once I got used to it. huh?
  18. Photography: The only hobby where you can legally shoot people and cut their heads off.
  19. I'd love to by myself a mirrorless FUJIFILM X-T3 camera. They're much lighter than my Trusty Nikon, and take every bit as good photos, if not even better. I was at an exhibition Tuesday evening that a photographer gave showing some amazing images taken with one. Problem is it would likely set me back over €2,000 euros to buy one and a couple of decent lenses for it.
  20. If ever I get over to the good old US of A, you could give me a private showing if you wanted.
  21. Some very nice pictures there, Albert! Particular the ones of the mountains. (Hotmail thought you were spamming me, so dumped your email into my junk folder) 😮
  22. (Might take me a while. I've never used One Drive before....)
  23. oh! I'll go and check.
  24. That could mean so many things, my friend! just hope it's been a good day for you.
