As a rule, the feed stores run out of chicks to sell before they run out of buyers. For several years I raised chickens when I lived in Petersburg, VA. Having chickens primarily for egg production, I avoided buying cocks (males), and bought only pullets (females). When there is a rooster among the hens the eggs are fertile, and have a seed inside the egg which most folks don't desire. About breeds, some breeds, like White Leghorns, are primarily raised for egg production and lay white eggs, they're light weight and shy of meat for eating. Heavier breeds, like Plymouth Rocks, New Hampshire and Rhode Island Reds are bred to be meat chickens, but still lay abundant quantities of eggs, usually brown. One breed that I've raised are Americana's and their eggs tend to be tinted, usually green and sometimes blue. It's probably just in my mind, but I believe that brown or tinted eggs have a better flavor than white eggs. And Free Range eggs have superior flavor and nutrition to eggs laid by poor caged hens.

Having enjoyed some of your other stories, I just started this one and I can already see it's gonna be a humdinger! Doug

NOTICE! BAD NEWS FOR MY READERS! My son and I are moving from our present location. We've given the landlord notice that we will be vacating our current home by April 30th. In the last paragraph, Matt stated "But who knows, maybe adoption is possible." IT IS POSSIBLE! My stories include some adoptions, and it's a win win situation for both the gay parents, and the child, or children. WOW! This was a rare find! I mentioned in an earlier comment today that I was binging on it. It's 2:00 AM and I finally just finished Chapter 10--read the whole story today and loved it. It's one of those fantastic stories that's nearly impossible to put down, and I didn't, until I finished it. Great writing. Thank you Maybe tomorrow I can get back to work on the current chapter I'm writing.

I'm going to do you guys a favor! I should be going back to Tennessee and Texas to pick up with our boys there in 'Watergame' and 'JC' but having left some loose ends in this story, I'm gonna move on to Chapter 59 of "DJ'. Their trip back from the Waterhole may be interesting, and I think we're all especially anxious to find out how Phillips parents will react to his coming out.

I hate to do this to you guys, but I've got three stories on my fingertips! I'm taking a road trip over to Tennessee to catch up with J&J and their family's and friends then on over to El Paso to see what Chance, Diego, JC and Company are up to. Sincere apologies to my readers. Much of what I planned for Chapter 55, we didn't get to cover because these boys do so much more than I sometimes plan. What events I didn't cover in 55, I will cover in 56. 55 was getting tooooooo long, for a single chapter! We still have a long way to travel in this story.

From his humble beginnings, DJ has developed into a truly remarkable and respectable young man, and I'm sure he will be a great President. I thought it interesting that Jamal Robinson, the same boy that placed that derogatory and anti-racial note on DJ's windshield many chapters ago, was the boy to nominate DJ for President.

Ha Ha! I threw you guys a curve ball! I uploaded Chapter 53 on the heels of 52. You're gonna have to wait a while for 54 though, as I need to do a chapter in both Watergame and JC before I write the next chapter of DJ.

Jim is NOT a typical boss! He treats the boys like co-owners of the business, rather than employees. If one on the boys has an idea or suggestion, and Jim agrees, it's put into action, or at least given a chance. The way Jim delegates responsibilities makes the boys develop a sense of ownership, and that can't be bad. They all want to see this business not only succeed but grow. Hiring these lads off the street has killed two birds with one stone, gaining some good workers, and getting some homeless boys off the street!. Going back to a comment that Jim made in an earlier chapter, these boys all are working well together, and they don't need a girl to 'boss them around!.' We still don't know of any of their sexualities with the exception of Denny, but they all seem comfortable in their all male environment.

I can kinda see where this is going. Jim may need to get a second food truck and relegate it just to the school. The staff preferring to have lunches delivered by Jim's business indicates the poor quality of food served in the school cafeteria---if the school even has a cafeteria. The more affluent students will likely also prefer to patronize the food truck. Okay, so Denny has admitted that he is gay, but we don't know about Donnie, Jim or Paul. I'm just a nosy and curious old man, but I suspect with Denny in the mix that none of the others will suffer from hormone overload. They say that a hard dick has no conscience! It's commendable that Jim is pushing these boys to finish their education. Great story, so far, and I'm looking forward to the future chapters.

Having become accustomed to your writing style, I know this story will be a humdinger! It's not become apparent yet if either of these two boys might be gay or why Donnie seems to be homeless. Jim is putting a lot of trust in a boy he hardly knows, and I hope the trust is not in vain. If things work out favorably between Jim and Donnie, I can conceive an eventual signage on the truck, something like 'Jim & Donnie's Food Service'--Bringing quality meals to your door. Having recently read 'Boy on the Lake' and 'Josh' it's like a ray of sunshine to read stories that are somewhat gay based, and not just one sex scene after another. Keep up the good work, and I'll be looking forward to the next installment.

This story just continues to get better and better! It's great that Toby and Ron have their wonderful friends across the Pond. I wonder if Toby and Ron have enlightened Roberto and Angelo as to their sexual preference? I know that In some foreign countries, homosexuality is considered taboo and scorned but in some of the European countries it's just an acceptable and alternative lifestyle. Europe is decades ahead of the United States in the acceptance of LGBT people. When Stephen Gately, a former member of the very popular Irish boyband Boyzone came out as gay it never affected the band's popularity. He passed at a very young age, 33, and his funeral in Ireland was the largest funeral ever witnessed in Ireland. Now on to Chapter 11.

Being both a writer and a reader, my time devoted to reading other stories is limited. The title of this story had been catching my attention for a few weeks and yesterday I took the plunge, binging through the first 6 chapters. It's a beautiful and heartwarming story and one I'm glad that caught my eye. I would highly recommend it. Now let me continue with Chapter Eight!

FYI- I'm currently working on JC Chapter 6 and hope to get it uploaded by the weekend. Chapter 6 promises to be a fun chapter, both to write and to read as our boys enjoy their July Fourth camping trip in the wilderness. Expect considerable male nudity as these boys love to be naked! LOL.

I just binged on the most recent four chapters, and will be looking forward for the next. I still think they should have called the EMT's at the time of the accident, It might have prevented considerable consequences. I'm wondering if maybe Jon Jon has a secret interest in Tristan?
