DJ Chapter 54 – A gay love story by Doug Spencer

It’s Wednesday morning, September 6th, and Jeremy’s second day of school. He needs to be at the school bus stop by 8:15 AM and the ladies need to leave for work by 8:30. Rena and Candy woke up to the alarm at 7:00 AM for the first time in the new apartment, donned their housecoats and prepared for a busy hour and a half.

Sipping on their first cups of coffee, they figured that if they wake Jeremy at 7:30 he would have time to dress, eat breakfast and head out to the bus stop by 8:10. Finishing their first cup, Rena started to prepare breakfast and Candy went upstairs to wake Jeremy. As soon as Jeremy’s feet hit the floor, Candy returned downstairs. Jeremy quickly removed his pajamas and headed naked to the bathroom to tinkle, and brush his teeth.

Candy and Rena both observed their naked boy exit the bathroom and return to his room to dress for school. Having raised Jeremy for the first three years of his life, and still assisting Jeremy to shampoo when he takes his showers, Jeremy has no modesty about being naked in front of his Mommy’s.

After breakfast, Jeremy kissed his Mommy’s goodbye, grabbed his backpack and headed out the door to catch his bus. Rena and Candy headed to their room to dress for work, also needing to leave shortly.

Ray was already at the gazebo when Jeremy arrived, and the two boys shared a good-morning hug. Minutes later their bus arrived and the boys shared a seat together for the ride to school.

Being a Wednesday, Phil and Bryan both had classes and were ready to leave for campus at the same time that Rena and Candy were leaving for work. Candy took a minute to tell the boys that Jeremy and Ray had become friends, and that Ray’s parents were coming by this evening to meet with Rena and herself and get to know each other. Phil and Bryan were happy that Jeremy now has a new friend that lives close by.

Wednesday afternoon when the bus dropped Jeremy and Ray off, the boys adapted quickly to the new ‘norm.’ As Jeremy’s parents wouldn’t be getting home from work until almost two hours after Jeremy gets home from school, he hangs out with Ray until his Mommy’s get home from work, between 5:00 and 5:30.

If Phil or Bryan are not working, Jeremy can also hang out with one or both of them until his Mommy’s get home. Phil and Bryan have both fallen deeply in love with Jeremy, and have nothing but love for this beautiful young man, and are happy to have him around, like their little brother.

Phyllis Vance has come to expect Jeremy to be with Ray when he returns from school, and keeps a supply of cookies on hand to give the boys an after-school snack.

Unbeknown to either of the boys, Phyllis had called Candy and told her that she was planning for Jeremy to have dinner with their family, and would bring him home when she and Charlie came to their house for the parental meeting. Candy gave her the OK.

About 5:30 PM, as dinnertime was approaching, Jeremy was ready to leave, expecting his Mommy’s to be home by now.

“Jeremy,” Phyllis stated, “you’re having dinner with us tonight.”

“But I need to be home,” Jeremy replied, “when my Mommy’s get home from work.”

“Jeremy, I’ve already cleared it with your Mommy,” Phyllis explained, “and she said it was OK.” Both boys had ear to ear grins on their faces. “Charlie and I are going down to meet your Mommy’s tonight, and we’ll take you home when we go down.”

Phyllis already had the table set for four when Charlie arrived, at a few minutes before 6:00 PM. Charlie gave the boys a warm group hug, and walked into the kitchen to kiss and hug his wife. Phyllis informed Charlie that Jeremy was having dinner with them, and Charlie smiled. Both he and Phyllis had taken a strong liking for Jeremy, and welcome Jeremy in their home.

After Phyllis placed a platter of Roast Pork on the table, along with homemade mashed potatoes, stuffing, pork gravy and buttered broccoli Charlie called the boys away from the TV for dinner. He sat the boys next to each other on one side of the table, while he and Phyllis sat across from them.

A conventional dinner was somewhat of a special treat for Jeremy, as Mommy Rena’s meals tended to be more Hispanic in flavor. After dinner, Phyllis served them all slices of Cheesecake, topped with fresh strawberries.

Eating the cheesecake, the boys surprised Phyllis and Charlie both of them feeding each other bites of their cheesecake—from each other’s plates and off each other’s forks. Just boys being boys, Phyllis and Charlie shared a grin, hoping that neither of the boys might have anything contagious.

Phyllis quickly put away the leftovers, leaving the dirty dishes on the table to clean up later. Gathering up the boys, they all headed out of their apartment on foot, to meet up with Candy and Rena, the boys leading the way to apartment 213. The boys were faster walkers than Phyllis and Charlie, and reached the apartment about two hundred feet in front of Ray’s parents, barging in.

“MOMMY’S!” Jeremy hollered, “Ray’s Mommy and Daddy are here!” Candy quickly approached the doorway, Rena close behind, and invited Phyllis and Charlie to come in.

“Hi,” Charlie stated, extending his hand, “I’m Ray’s father, Charlie Vance, and this is my wife, and Ray’s mother, Phyllis.”

Candy, offering her hand, “I’m Candace Stanley, Jeremy’s Mommy, and this is my wife, and Jeremy’s other Mommy, Corina Lopez. We go by Candy and Rena, and we’re very pleased to meet you, please have a seat.” It seemed a bit strange to Charlie and Phyllis, having a woman introducing another woman as her wife! Both Charlie and Phyllis shook hands with the two ladies, and sat together on the sofa.

“I’d like to offer you drinks,” Candy stated, “but we rarely have alcohol in the house, can we interest you in some fresh coffee?”

“Coffee would be appreciated,” Charlie replied, pleased to know that these ladies evidently prefer to be sober.

Rena, preparing to go and brew some coffee, “Jeremy, why don’t you and Ray go up to your room and find something to do?”

“OK, Mommy,” Jeremy replied, as he and Ray quickly ascended the stairs to his room, soon dumping the Lego’s onto the floor and got busy building some Lego houses.

“Jeremy,” Ray asked, “would you like us to sleep over together?”

Jeremy, smiling, “I’d like that, a lot. I wonder if our parents would let us?”

“We won’t know,” Ray replied, “unless we ask. Let’s ask them, before me and my parents go home.” Jeremy totally agreed.

Ray just turned eleven a couple of months ago, and Jeremy will be eleven in just a few more days, on the 22nd. Neither of these boys has yet to enter puberty, and sex is the last thing on their minds. The desire to sleep together is strictly due to their close friendship.

Downstairs, Charlie was curious. Are you ladies actually married, or just living together?” Charlie asked.

“We are legally married,” Candy replied, “We we’re domestic partners for several years, having entered into a relationship just before Jeremy’s father and I got divorced. When we filed to gain custody of Jeremy, our attorney advised us that even as a same-sex couple, our chances of gaining custody would be better if we were a married couple. We’d planned to eventually marry anyway, and we decided to get married before we went to family court for the custody hearing.”

“We raised Jeremy from a baby,” Rena stated, “until he was three years old. His father and stepmother gained custody and took our boy away, breaking our hearts. For seven years, we only had our son for two Sundays a month, and Jeremy was very unhappy, living with Juan and Crystal.”

“Judge Canton, the Family Court Judge,” Candy explained, “decided that it was in Jeremy’s best interest to live with his Mothers, and awarded us permanent custody. His father gets to have Jeremy one weekend a month, and the judge also ordered Juan to pay us Child Support! We’re both very happy to have our boy back!”

“It would seem that you both have a lot of love for Jeremy,” Charlie said.

“It’s been a little rough,” Candy added, “Jeremy gets home from school almost two hours before we get home from work. When one of the boys that live downstairs in 203 are home, they’re happy to watch over him and like him a lot, and Jeremy almost worships Bryan and Phil. They’re both attending Community College, and they both work part time jobs, and aren’t always home when Jeremy gets home from school.”

“We’re looking for a nanny to care for Jeremy after school, and on the days that we have to work, and there is no school. Fortunately, Rena and I don’t work on weekends, so we’re home with Jeremy.”

Phyllis, smiling, “I think you already have a nanny, and this one won’t charge you a penny! Charlie and I have quickly grown to like and care for Jeremy a lot. It’s almost like having twin sons in our home. I look forward to Jeremy coming into our home with Ray after school every day.”

“I’m a stay at home Mom,” Phyllis continued, “and the boys keep me busy, making sure there is a steady supply of cookies for their after school snacks! The boys have become nearly inseparable friends, and Jeremy is totally welcome in our home. I’ll be more than happy to watch over Jeremy, and be his Mom on those days that the boys don’t have school!”

“Thank you so much, Phyllis,” Candy replied, “we’ll accept your offer, and that just lifted a major weight off of our minds. I can tell that Ray has some awesome parents, that really love their boy.”

“Correction, Candy,” Charlie stated, “We do have unconditional love for our own son, but we love our newly adopted son nearly as much as our birth son! We’re happy that Ray chose such a fine young man to be his friend.” Candy and Rena both smiled.

“Just for the record,” Candy replied, “Rena and I have rather quickly become attached to Ray, and he is also a welcome fixture in our home. If ever you have a need for someone to watch over Ray, we’ll be more than happy to do so.”

“In all honestly,” Phyllis stated, “knowing your relationship, I was a bit uncomfortable coming to meet you ladies. Not anymore, you two ladies are just loving parents, like us, but just a little different. I’m glad we’ve broken the ice tonight.”

“Rena, Candy,” Charlie stated, “It’s really been a pleasure to meet you, but it’s a school night, and we need to get Ray home and to bed. RAY, COME ON DOWN, WE’RE GOING HOME!” Both boys quickly descended down the stairs and approached the adults.

“Mommy, can Ray sleep overnight with me?” Jeremy asked, a typical pre-teen question.

“Please, Daddy,” Ray said, hoping for an affirmative answer.

“Sweetheart,” Candy replied, “I don’t think tonight would be a good night for a sleepover, you boys both have to be up early for school tomorrow. Maybe you can sleep over together on Friday night, if it’s OK with Ray’s parents. We can all sleep in later on Saturday morning, no school and no work for either Rena or me.”

Charlie, giving Phyllis a glance, “If it’s OK with Jeremy’s par—Mommy’s, I think it’s OK with us.” Charlie and Phyllis have still not quite gotten their heads around a child having same-sex parents. The boys were pleased, both of them smiling. They’ll only have to wait for two more nights, and Friday night they can probably stay up later than they’d be allowed to on a school night.

“Rena’s a great cook,” Candy commented, “but most of her meals tend to be of Hispanic cuisine. Ray might get to taste a different kind of food, from what he’s used to eating.” Charlie grinned.

Gathering up Ray, the Vance family wished them all a good night, and headed back to their own apartment. After meeting, and spending some time with Candy and Rena, Phyllis had actually become quite comfortable with Jeremy’s Mommy’s, overcoming her earlier reservations.

It’s Monday morning, September 10th and the first official Monday of the new semester at CC. Karen prepared breakfast for DJ, Jamie and Brandon, knowing they would need to be leaving for school by 8:30 AM.

DJ and Jamie’s first class wasn’t until 10:00 AM, but Brandon’s first class was at 9:00. Brandon is dependent on DJ and Jamie for transportation to and from CC and DJ and Jamie often bend their schedule to accommodate Brandon. Brandon quickly exited DJ’s Tracker and headed to his class, while DJ and Jamie headed to the student lounge to enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee together, having an hour to kill before their first class. DJ viewed the bulletin board, expecting to see a notice for the Rainbow Alliance Meeting that wasn’t there.

“This is actually the first Monday of school,” DJ stated, “and Sandy usually posts a notice for the meeting on the bulletin board.”

“Baby,” Jamie replied, “Did you forget that Sandy graduated last spring, and resigned her position as President at the last meeting we had?”

“Oh, shit!” DJ exclaimed. “We all put in a lot of time and energy to organize this club, we can’t just let it die! I’m going to post a notice for a meeting today, and maybe we can salvage it.” DJ dug into his backpack, retrieving a marker and created a notice for a Meeting of the Rainbow Alliance today, September 10th at 5:00 PM in room 110, the last room they’d used for their meetings.

Stopping by Mr. Finch’s office on their way to their first class, Mr. Finch, the club advisor, agreed to meet with them there at 5:00 PM. At lunchtime, Brandon, Bryan and Phil all hooked up with DJ and Jamie for lunch in the student lounge/cafeteria.

“I’m off today,” Bryan stated, “but I rode in with Phil, and he’s scheduled to work at 3:00 PM. I’d like to make the meeting, but I won’t have a way home.”

“Yes you will,” DJ replied, smiling, “There’s no way that Jamie and I are going to leave one of our best friends stranded! We’ll take you home after the meeting.” Bryan smiled.

“What the hell am I supposed to do,” Brandon asked, “while you queer dudes are having your meeting?”

“FYI Brandon, we’re not all dudes!” DJ stated, “We do have some girls in the club too.”

“Yeah! Probably girls that like girls—not much help for me!” Brandon replied.

“Maybe you can just hang around here,” Jamie said, “who knows, you might even meet a girl of interest to you.” Brandon is not a happy camper. He’s in a new school with unknown students, and the only boys he knows very well are all gay!

At 5:00 PM a number of students had gathered around room 110, waiting for Mr. Finch to come and unlock it, which he did about 5:05. Entering the room, Gary Sands, the VP took the podium, and brought the meeting to order.

Gary, tapping the gavel on the podium, “Welcome everyone to the first meeting of the Rainbow Alliance in the new semester. I’m happy to see a number of familiar faces, and I’d like to welcome a few new faces to our group.”

“As most of you are aware, The Rainbow Alliance is, for the most part, a support group for the LGBT community existing on campus, but like most of the student organizations, we like to have some fun too. Near the end of the spring semester, we had an Alliance Picnic, and I think we all enjoyed a great time together.”

“As most of our returning members are aware, Sandy, our former President graduated last spring and resigned as President. The first thing on our agenda today, is to elect a new President. The floor is now open for nominations, for the office of President, to lead our club for the new school year.” Jamal Robinson stood up.

“The floor recognizes Jamal Robinson,” Gary stated.

“I’d like to nominate everybody’s friend, DJ Kendall, for President of the Rainbow Alliance,” Jamal stated. DJ was flabbergasted, and Gary wrote his name on the blackboard.

“Next nomination?” Gary said.

“I make the motion that the nominations be closed.” Bryan stated.

“I second that motion,” Devon Williams stated.

“The motion has been made and seconded to close the nominations,” Gary stated, “All those in favor ‘Aye.’” ‘Aye’ sounded from all areas of the room.

“The motion is carried,” Gary stated, “With only one candidate for the office of President, are there any objections?” The room was silent. “All those in favor of accepting DJ Kendall as our new President, please signify by raising your hands.” Every hand in the room was in the air, except DJ’s.

“It’s unanimous!” Gary stated, smiling, “You all have voted for DJ Kendall to be our President and Leader for the coming year. DJ, please approach the podium.” DJ walked up to Gary, with tears streaming down his face. “Ladies and Gentlemen,” Gary stated, “It’s my pleasure to introduce to you, our newly elected President, Mr. DJ Kendall! Your gavel, sir.” Gary handed the gavel to DJ amid voices of ‘SPEECH! SPEECH!’ and gave DJ a warm and loving hug, then melted into the others, leaving DJ alone at the podium.

“It’s really hard for me to speak,” DJ stated, “when you guys have left me speechless, and totally overwhelmed. I am humbled with the confidence you all have shown in me, and with pride, I accept the role you have placed on my shoulders.”

“As we go through this transition,” DJ continued, “I’m going to rely on the support and help from all of you. The Rainbow Alliance was organized primarily as a support group for the LGBT community on our campus, and we have also become somewhat of a social group. During our first year of existence, we hosted a quite successful membership drive at Anthony’s Pizzeria, we shared a memorable and happy Christmas Party and a very fun and enjoyable group picnic last spring.”

“I would envision that the Rainbow Alliance will grow in membership and maybe become one of the ‘signature clubs’ on campus, even though we are unique individuals with somewhat special interests. As President, I will always try to be available to our members, and to possible future members, and I am posting my personal phone number here, so that you may save it.” DJ wrote his number on the blackboard.

“In closing,” DJ stated, “for those of you that don’t know him, I would like to introduce the wind beneath my wings, my wonderful boyfriend, Jamie Seldon, Jamie, please stand up.” Jamie stood up. “Don’t forget our next meeting on the first Monday of October, right here at 5:00 PM, and thank you for your vote of confidence. Can we have a motion to adjourn this meeting?”

The motion was made, seconded and the meeting adjourned. Leaving the podium, DJ was floundered with hugs and congratulations from nearly every member of the Alliance. Popularity never felt better and DJ was feeling loved.

* * * * *

A little earlier, out in the student lounge, with nothing better to do, Brandon sat at one of the tables and got into his studies while waiting for the gay boys to return from their meeting. Unnoticed by Brandon, Dorie walked up behind him.

Dorie, placing her hands over Brandon’s eyes, “Hi stranger!”

“Who dat?” Brandon asked.

“I guess you forgot all about me!” Dorie said, “I kinda thought you might call me for a date?”

Brandon, twisting around in his chair, “Dorie! I can explain.”

“Well, start explaining then,” Dorie replied.

“I really want to date you,” Brandon said, “but I’ve got problems. I’m just getting back into school, and I’m working on Friday and Saturday nights. My biggest problem is that I don’t have a car. I have to depend on my cousins to get back and forth to school, and get to work. I’m hoping that, in a few weeks, I can save up the money to at least make a down payment on a car.”

“Are you signed up for Mr. Carson’s Commercial Art’s Lab on Thursday afternoons?” Dorie asked.

“I am,” Brandon replied, “and so are Bryan and Phil, friends of my cousins. I’m hoping that if I offer them some gas money they’ll be willing to get me home after we finish Lab, and they’re also going to be Lab Partners. DJ and Jamie have Chemistry Lab on Thursday mornings, and I’ll need to ride in with them so to be here for that afternoon Lab. I so badly need some wheels!”

“Do you have a Lab Partner for Commercial Arts?” Dorie asked.

“Not yet,” Brandon said, “I suppose Mr. Carson will hook me up with one on the first session, Thursday.”

“I don’t have one yet either, Brandon,” Dorie replied, “would you consider having a girl for a Lab Partner?”

“Not just any girl,” Brandon replied, “but if that’s an offer, I’d love to partner with you, in more ways than one!” Dorie reached over and took Brandon’s hand, and Brandon grinned. “Are you usually hanging around here at this time of day?” Brandon asked.

“Not usually,” Dorie replied, “I ride in with my brother, Chad Wheeler. He had a special class today at 5:00 PM, and I’m just waiting for him to get out, so we can go home. I’m really glad that we ran into each other today, and that we share a couple of classes together. I’m looking forward to us being lab partners.”

Shortly afterwards, the Rainbow Alliance group entered the lounge, and Chad, one of the members, approached Dorie and Brandon.

“Well Sis, ready to leave?” Chad asked, “May I ask who this is?”

“Sure, Bro,” Dorie replied, “Chad, this is Brandon Whitlock. Brandon and I share some classes, and we’re going to be lab partners for Commercial Arts Lab. Brandon, this is my brother, Chad Wheeler.” Out of courtesy, Brandon stood to shake hands with Chad.

Wearing boxers, Brandon’s substantial boyhood was rather obvious, hanging down inside of his Jean’s pantleg. Chad’s eyes stared down, Chad having a desire to want to feel it with his hand, but he abstained. Brandon noticed where Chad’s lusting eyes were aimed, and felt just a bit uncomfortable. Dorie prepared to leave.

Brandon, giving Dorie a hug, and the two sharing a quick kiss, “I’ll call you Dorie, I promise.” Chad and Dorie left, heading out of the main building toward the parking lot. DJ and Jamie, along with Bryan and Brandon also headed out. DJ explained to Brandon that they needed to drive by Bryan’s apartment to drop him off on the way home.

Chad, on the drive home, “So is Brandon a little more to you, than just your lab partner?”

“We met, the last time that Kerri and I went up to the Waterhole. Kerri is already dating Damion, Brandon’s brother, but neither Brandon nor I have a car, so we haven’t actually dated yet, but we want to.”

“I think that Brandon might be a little big for you,” Chad said, “I couldn’t help but notice that he’s hung, like a horse!”

“Only you would notice something like that!” Dorie remarked, snickering. “But chill it, if anyone gets to play with it, it’ll be me, not you! Besides, I know that Brandon is one hundred percent straight and he’d never let you touch him, anyway.”

In the tracker, riding in the back seat with Bryan, Brandon had something on his mind.

“I really felt uncomfortable, when Dorie introduced me to her brother,” Brandon stated, “Chad spent too much time looking at my crotch!”

“Brandon,” Jamie stated, grinning, “you’re hung quite well, and the way you dress tends to accentuate the positive!”

“I guess I do like to advertise a bit,” Brandon replied, grinning, “but I do that for the girls benefit, not to try to attract other boys!”

“Brandon,” Bryan added, “boys, especially gay boys, will take notice of what any boy displays in that area. Just judging from what is noticeable, I suspect that you’re sporting about the same size cock as my Phil, and he’s no teeny weenie!” DJ and Jamie both snickered, having seen Phil naked on a few occasions, and also having seen Brandon naked as well.

DJ’s memory went back to that day, right after Granny’s funeral, that Damion and Brandon shared a circle jerk, suggested by Brandon, with him and Jamie out in the woods. That same day that DJ and Jamie totally grossed Damion and Brandon out by finishing each other off orally and swallowing each other’s cum.

After dropping Bryan off at his apartment, DJ and Jamie, along with Brandon, returned to the Seldon home. Damion had already arrived from work, and Karen reheated leftovers from lunch and fed the four boys a tasty dinner. Typical for a Monday evening, DJ and Jamie prepared to head to DJ’s Dad’s to spend the night, and DJ would be working his usual open to close shift on Tuesday.

Jamie planned to return home Tuesday morning, to spend some time with Karen and Carl, scheduled at 3:00 PM at Anthony’s while Brandon was scheduled at 4:00, and would ride in with Jamie. After eating, DJ and Jamie left for the Dad’s house, taking both of their cars and driving separately. Damion and Brandon both retreated to their rooms, planning to make some phone calls.

Damion’s call to Kerri was cut short, Kerri still at work until 7:30 PM. She promised Damion that she would call him after she got home, around 8:00 PM.

Brandon’s call obtained a bit more success, Dorie answering on the second ring. The first few minutes of their conversation was pretty typical chat between a boy and girl that are just getting to know each other.

“Dorie,” Brandon stated, “I’ve got some strong feelings that your brother might be just a little bit gay. When you introduced us today, I felt that Chad was undressing me—with his eyes!”

Dorie, chuckling, “I don’t know why you’d think that! Just because he’s only had one date with a girl, and he’s an active member of the Rainbow Alliance doesn’t mean he’s gay.”

“So did something bad happen with his date?” Brandon asked.

“Not that I know of,” Dorie replied, “It was Chad’s Senior Prom, and he needed a date, just like all the other senior boys. Pickings were slim, and the one girl that accepted him for a date was likely the least good-looking girl in probably the whole high school.”

“And he never dated any girls after that?” Brandon inquired.

“Since graduation he’s often gone out on dates, mostly on Saturday nights, but I don’t know if his dates are with girls, or boys. Chad claims to be bisexual, and he told me he likes both girls and boys,” Dorie said. “Somehow, I think that Chad is more gay than BI, but he’s my brother, and I love him, regardless of his sexuality. I just want him to be happy in his love life, whether it’s with a girl or another boy.”

“You’re very understanding, Dorie, and accepting. It’s a quality that I admire. Damion and I went through a period of learning to accept our gay cousins, DJ and Jamie. Once we got over the reality that two boys could actually fall in love with each other, and share a real loving relationship, Damion and I have now developed unconditional love for them, kind of like they are our brothers. Cousins are the best kind of friends, and DJ and Jamie have truly become our closest friends—even if they are gay!”

Winding down, Brandon and Dorie are looking forward to sharing a couple of classes together on Wednesday and lunch together in the student lounge, and being lab partners on Thursday afternoon. Brandon is scheduled to work Tuesday evening, and promised to call Dorie after he gets home. The two wished each other a good night, with no “I Love You’s” and ended their phone call.

Awesome chapter. DJ will make a great president of the Rainbow Alliance.

Thanks, Chris, for being my most regular and dependable commenter.  I always look forward to seeing and reading your comments.  From his humble beginnings, DJ has developed into a truly remarkable and respectable young man, and I'm sure he will be a great President.

I thought it interesting that Jamal Robinson, the same boy that placed that derogatory and anti-racial note on DJ's windshield many chapters ago, was the boy to nominate DJ for President.
