Thanks for reading and commenting, Jeffrey! The next chapter has a fairly telling scene with Christoper in it. I'm currently reading through it, making sure it flows and is up to snuff. Though it won't be posted until Thursday, I do think it'll be worth the wait.

Nate is a bit selfish and insensitive. But yeah... that whole "kick him sideways" comment. If Nate isn't careful, he could definitely find himself on the receiving end of getting hurt. Christopher is still wounded, more is coming for him. Kent is one of my favorites in this story. I'm glad you liked him. And yeah... a few minutes alone with Kent would be a great time. I'd make sure he didn't regret a damn thing, too (unlike Nate). And of course... Markus has a part to play as well. Thanks for reading and commenting, Mac!

I think you're absolutely right. Nobody has the right to diminish your love for another being that has been lost. Perhaps those people have never had such a deep connection to anything. Frankly, that is yet another reason to mourn. Thanks for your comments and insight, Mac.

Thanks, Parker. We are all fighting, one way or another. Some more than others. This post is an acknowledgment of that.

The psych visits and meds are weapons used to wage the fight. He's doing what he should. Watching someone you love fight a battle you can't win for them is its own trial. I know you don't think about yourself during those times, but you should. Remember - the wildebeests circle you too.

Thanks for commenting, tim. I think that we've all got our trials - some more than others. @MacGregwrote some on reserving judgment and trying to rise above that. These are related, certainly. I'm glad you're still here and still fighting.

There are many battles and many Hells. To those who have walked through their own torment and are still here - don't let anybody say that you "should just move on." Just because they've not been tested doesn't give them the right to belittle how hard you had to fight to survive. You're still here. That makes you a warrior. The others? The ones who don't know? Lucky them. Let them sit cocooned in their soft world. But we know, don't we?
