Thanks, mayday. Grant does have a lot of trust in Troy. He knows a tremendous amount about him, and how his mind works already. Grant needs the Troy in the journal, and that's who Troy is turning back into. Troy's sweet, loving, and a guy Grant knows will let him lean a bit on him. You're right - this happened fast, but both guys were ready.

Nice job getting those chores done, molly! 🙂 Things have shifted for our guys. Grant is now the one needing help, and Troy is there. Frankly, it'd probably be easier to deal with a guy who has already figured everything out. Troy could find someone further along than Grant if he looked, someone who didn't need so much patience and careful treatment. But ... it's not even a question to him. He's there, and he has no plans to let Grant deal with his sexuality alone. Of course, he gets to be physical with a pretty hot guy too, but it's more than that to Troy. Ah, you noticed the little bit about John there at the end, eh? Good. 🙂

Hehehe. Thanks, kbois. They do have a lot to figure out, but hopefully some of the awkwardness between them is gone (probably replaced by a different kind of awkwardness, but still). At this point Grant suddenly has something he likes that he could lose. When that happens people get protective and think about the ways they can hang onto what they've got. So, him handing over the journal now may not be something he'd consider. We'll find out down the line how Grant plans to deal with that. There's more to come. Thanks for reading.

Thanks, chris. And you pretty much nailed it. There's a lot of pieces in this chapter, and many ways things can go. But the longer Grant keeps the journal from Troy the worse things would be if he revealed it. Will he? Will Brian force him to? Would that destroy the trust Troy has built in Grant? Let's find out. 🙂

Thanks for the comment, James B. Now that the guys are really beginning to connect and allow one another closer (physically and otherwise) that journal is starting to feel like a landmine, eh? Then you have Brian ... a guy who is vigilant about anything that may hurt his friends. He knows Grant lied, but he doesn't know why. Though he can see Troy is happy, and to him that's more important than getting to the bottom of the mystery behind Grant's deception. But ... that's a bit of a ticking bomb. If Brian thinks Grant is putting Troy's emotional health at risk, then he's the kind of guy who will confront him on it. And that could end ... poorly.

Good question. Troy had already modified this one to work as his mobile workshop, so anything he purchased would need time and attention to get to the stage he needs to do his job. He really needs his baby fixed up, or he's in trouble.

Hehe. Well, you saw how Troy reacted to the offer of food from Mr. Burgess. Grant did get him to take some food, but even that was tricky. He’s fairly sure that Troy would reject anything more right now. Troy’s trying to control whatever he can in his life. He needs to have his barriers knocked down before he can truly accept help.

It’s really hard for a lot of reasons for some folks. I hope Troy’s character shines through a little more later so you can understand him a bit more.

Notes? No. But I'd be surprised if people reading were not challenged by the work. If it doesn't make them think, and debate, and wonder. If it doesn't make them try, and fail to categorize and sort our people and situations. It not, that's great. Then our readers are further along than we are, and perhaps they will teach us a few things in the comments. 🙂
