@chris191070 You were also able to learn about some of Ben's past. Ever since @Paladin's comment about how many coincidences were gonna be for into this story, I knew I wanted them in a situation where they weren't necessarily living close to each other, but we're connected in their early childhoods. Finally, just before falling asleep last night, I got the idea of them having the same babysitter as young kids, and it was the perfect solution. I don't remember the kids I was with when I was their age and got left at the neighborhood sitter's house.

The sun hadn't risen when Ben woke up on Christmas morning. The teen sat up, stretched, slid his bare feet into slippers, and headed for the bathroom. He grabbed a pair of red satiny boxers decorated with Scooby-Doo wearing a Santa hat, a pair of tan jeans, a gray tank top, a garnet red polo shirt, and a pair of thin red ankle socks decorated with snowflakes and Happy Holidays written on the top, and Merry Christmas written on the soles. I forgot to mention, that was about 23 years ago. Luckily, I've gotten better at cooking over the years. I did eventually learn to fry chicken.

@Gary L Don't feel bad. I wanted to surprise my husband with dinner, and decided to take the initiative, and fry chicken for the first time in my life. Well, I certainly accomplished surprising my husband. He came home from work, the apartment was filled with smoke, grease was all over the kitchen, and the smoke detector was beeping. Despite all that, the chicken was almost black on the outside, and raw on the inside. LOL He told me he was surprised I hadn't burned down the building. LOL

Guys, I want to thank everyone who's been reading this story. Thanks to inquiries from @Paladin and @Summerabbacat is gone from a three or four chapter story to a ten chapter story. Working on this ended up being a departure for me because it's the first story I've ever written with a female character getting tickled. I've never had something I've written get so many views so quickly, and I'm truly grateful and totally shocked. Love y'all.

@Summerabbacat, I'm just the opposite, of course I'm on the opposite side of the world. The warmest Christmas I've had was 65° Fahrenheit and it felt wrong to me.

My original idea was to have Trevor, Brett, and Ben in pink bunny suits singing the Chipmunk's Christmas song, but it just didn't play out right in my head. There's one more chapter and an epilog.

@chris191070, ever since the iconic bunny suit got mentioned and the combination of colors Ben came up with, I was trying like crazy to come up with a believable and unforced way of getting them into the story. The perfect idea came to me after I finished the 8th chapter.

@Summerabbacat, does that mean you eschewed the spandex and sequins? Ever since I heard Bette say eschewed in her Divine Madness concert, I've used every opportunity to throw it into a conversation. That isn't an easy thing to do.
