For some reason, with this chapter, I got the hint / impression Murray and O'Shea may be partners in life as well as partners on the police force. Maybe not but the thought was there the way it was written.
-
"I just can’t believe the evil that’s in this world!" Honestly, this chapter got to me and the tears flowed! Anger, sadness, disbelief ... and the light that shined hope on it all is Brad, Sanctuary, and the entire crew working together to take care of the littlest of these.

Murray and O'Shea are on a mission, partnering with Brad, to rescue every kid in the City from the vile scum that infests it. GO TEAM!!!

Actions speak so much louder than words! Trust is going to be a hard thing to earn but little by little it will happen and renew the inner souls of all 130+.

The publicity being spoke of can be a two edged sword. When wielded correctly, it can produce a great force. While fiction, I still choose to think positively that Brad and Tony will continue to develop, the trust fund will be more than sufficiently funded, Sanctuary will continue to be a secure place for tender tossed lives, and Mario will keep the lights on and the stew hot for everyone. 🥰

Damn, the General is a ball buster!

"we walked to our cocoon" ... could this be foreshadowing for Brad and Tony or just a Freudian slip? lol

"Fill a kid’s head with knowledge and his heart with love; it’s a recipe that cannot go wrong." That's the miracle of Sanctuary! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Boxing Day and Happy Holidays to everyone! Looking forward to raising a glass for all things at 6p EST this evening with everyone. CHEERS!

SMH. How can any organization who presents itself as a follower of GOD protest an institution like Sanctuary? Oh, let me guess, it was the same organization who's "pastor" got arrested in the scum ring that was going on. While I was delighted to see Murray and O'Shea arrest the bully, I feel similar to Brad in that his actions possibly could've been a result of the situation he'd been in. On the other hand, for whatever reason, some just have a bullying mentality throughout life. Whatever the origin, I'm glad Brad allowed tough love by protecting the safety of the many from the one. A clear signal that any harm toward others would not tolerated at Sanctuary.

OMG, the person that filed the suit to serve summons must be the dummest damn idiot on the block! 🙄

I'm not sure this story could get any more heart wrenching than it already is. Deceit is the highest form of dishonesty - couple that with this sickening topic - and deceiving a child who has nothing into believing they're working for something and getting better while all the time being used by these scum of the earth is deplorable, nauseating, and sickening all combined. Thank gawd for Brad, the Officers, and those who have compassion and decency to be proactively involved regardless.

OH MY, this chapter was definitely a heart tugger! Brad literally saved 2 lives by putting life before material possessions. The protective sense kicks in and something many would do without a moments hesitation. We hear on the news of people being held captive for months or years in basements but I never imagined a ring of children for sale being held captive in the United States. Sickening, just sickening!!! 🤢🤬 On a brighter note, looking forward to joining in companionship 24 1300Z DEC 20 with a wonderful glass of wine. Salute! in advance. 🥰

I'm not sure which made me more sad, the story (fiction based on reality) or the comments (reality). It only takes 1 to make the world a better place yet it's hard to ignore the heartache caused by those that would do harm to the littlest of us. I sure hope security gets to Sanctuary sooner than later - it truly would be devastating if one of those scum made off with a little one after they finally found safety in Sanctuary.
-
Exactly what I was thinking as well. With this many kiddos being protected, security needs to be a priority to prevent this type of scum from preying on them in the future. Absolutely sickening! While saying that, also so elated at the progression of Sanctuary from where it started to the numerous lives - young and old - that it's impacting in such a positive way. ❤️

And in only a moment, Brad instilled confidence back in Pat that could last a lifetime! ❤️

Train lockers and full steam ahead! The warehouse is coming together nicely. It always amazes me what the power of many, working together in one direction for a common goal, can accomplish.

Reading Weiner's comments and CLJ's reply makes me ashamed of those we've put in place to protect and serve! While I fully support our public servants, this is one time I cannot agree. 🙄

More BOUNTY! I do think you own stock in that company after all. lol Luv'd this heartwarming story of perseverance and happiness. Giving back freely returns so many rewards that one is never expecting. Mom's heart was definitely one of love and acceptance.

Omelets, snowball fights, and hot chocolate. Now I'm starving! lol

CLJobe replied to my last post with the question - is it the parent's or the teacher - and couldn't have said it any better. An amazing story of love and compassion from those with pure caring hearts. Why is so much hate taught in the institutions of religion when it's just the opposite of what the true head of those institutions exemplified throughout his life? For whatever reason, it made me remember as a young child sitting in a worship service and watching as they asked a homeless person to leave because the individual was making others uncomfortable for just sitting there listening. Talk about hypocrisy.

Parent like that will rot in hell ... and those with compassion and love in their hearts will reign in heaven!

A true Christmas Story. "His parents abandoned him when they found out he was gay, his friends abandoned him when they found out, and his church abandoned him." How can one not be angry at the ones who have responsibility to love yet forsake? Broke my heart while reading what Toby was enduring. Even when he had nothing, he had more than his "parents" "friends" or "church" he had unending love and compassion for others!

Truly, another great story which I could continue reading for many chapters. I was surprised a little that Tony didn't develop feelings for Chet and they lived happily ever after as opposed to meeting a young man at University. I thought it was telling of how starved Tony was for attachment when he referred to Chets parents as Mom & Dad - though they may've never introduced themselves by their given names. One never knows but always a nice touch that shows he attached to them as much as they attached to him.
