Who knew GMO started on this very farm? 😂 It's great to see the boys growing up, excelling in their chosen fields, and, from the hint, Little Vic has quite the personality ... who wouldn't with all those Uncles around! LOL!!!
I anticipate the future for Tom will be opening a school, or a learning curriculum at his school, focused on dyslexia and other learning challenges. It often amazes me, when one truly spends the time necessary with an individual - encouraging, supporting, and validating - what is uncovered that society, in all its' realms, has covered in years of layers of self loathe.
Love abounds everywhere and outpouring encompassing everyone. I laughed at the twins name - a palindrome of sorts. LOL!!! Before ya know it, they're gonna need a bigger mansion! LOL!!!
Glad your move went well and taking the unpacking slow and easy!
OMG, at the beginning when we skipped 2 years, I was thinking Tony was going to have his hands FULL if Brad and Tom moved away for teaching jobs. Then, along came Little Vic ... hell, even I've adopted him already! LOL!!! Honestly, I don't see the Uncles going anywhere anytime soon with short pants around to keep them entertained.
"People are understandably concerned about winter, and they should know that it takes sheep about six weeks to grow more than enough wool to stay warm in the winter. The deep cold comes in January or February, so an animal shorn this weekend will be ready for the winter in late November.Oct 4, 2016 Bedlam Farms"
Sounds like Amalia has a HUGE house to take care of and CLJ will be moving into a new pad over the next few days! WooHoo, things they are a changing! Enjoy everyone and have a GREAT weekend!
"Knowing that we will be back someday." Memories, of time spent with those we love, are priceless and to be cherished. Yes, we too will be back someday to the same room, the same pool overlooking the ocean, where we said yes to a lifetime with each other.
"Wouldn’t it be funny if we were related." Not so much, that'd definitely put a hell bender in the genetics. A beautiful ceremony full of family, fun, and food. Heartwarming that Tony supported the boys in their marriage as well ... how could anyone not notice that if they were part of the wedding party? 😉
"he remarked upon seeing a painting similar to that at a small museum." I do believe that was some foreshadowing for something exciting ready to unfold! Can't wait!
Fresh bread rolls from the bakery ... Amalia is definitely a keeper. Every year, when I go to the Philippines, there's a bakery down the street that makes the best Pan de Coco. Nice, hot, and flavorful every morning for breakfast! OMG, craving it now for breakfast :)
I feel like Amalia and Tony started off as love at first sight and are already courting each other - just not officially. Hell, anyone that good in the kitchen - man or woman, is a plus in my book!
Old McDonald had a farm, ei, ei, o, with a quack quack here .... LOL!!!! So enjoying reading this story of symbiosis - everyone helping - and family. The boys and Charlie will be around for a long time.
While I'm sure everyone that does this means well - there's some areas of life people need to keep their damn noses out of and that's relationships / matchmaking. Got married to a woman because of this kind of matchmaking / peer pressure and the dumbest damn thing I ever did. Now, I'm happily in love with the most amazing man, on my terms, and seeing where this ends up - no pressure from anyone. It's a beautiful thing! ❤️
Heartwarming. Brought tears to my eyes. You're right CLJ, there are a ton of families out there that are supportive, embracing, and loving while there are others that shun. Tom and Brad definitely have surrogate parents in Tony's Mom and Dad. As Tony said to his Dad a few chapters back and I paraphrase, it doesn't matter to me what they do in their bedroom, they love and care about each other and are good to me. There are so many good people in the world but often overshadowed by the few bad the world would probably be better off without.
Many a times have I checked the Atlas to find a fun place to go. Brought back fond memories of vacation. Still shaking my head at Marlene and her brazenness. The wine ... and now we're talking! lol
It's often said we can't choose our family but in certain circumstances I believe one can. Family isn't about blood relations, family is about the unconditional love, trust, and caring for one another. Last week, celebrated 6 months with the most amazing man who I've ever met and my family (not blood relation) has embraced him deeply with all the love, trust, and caring that they have embraced me with. I believe Tony and his blood family have done the same for Brad and Tom along with Charlie. So very heartwarming! ❤️
There's something about a car that makes one feel closer to the person that drove it. I remember when my father died and I drove his Olds for the first time - there's something to be said about having someone that loves you to hand you a hanky.
Sharing areas of expertise. Tony lacks in building and animals where the boys excel. The boys lack in cooking where Tony excels. A nice symbiotic relationship.
