    I'm sorry that it ended so soon - your relationship and the story too. (I hope he didn't find this story somehow and get freaked out :S... Sorry, not likely I guess.) Anyway, it was fascinating to read your explanations about Chinese culture, society, worldview, etc.! It would be great to read more about that if you feel like writing another story : ). I'm glad when there are 'real' stories to read, as I usually find them to be the most interesting and impactful. Thank you for sharing those insights and part of your life with us. You're still young, so I wouldn't give up on love yet : ). All the best!

    Hey Krista, Thanks a lot for the new chapters! I'm glad I stopped by GA and saw them. I feel bad for Corey, but especially for his mother. I really hope his Dad can find a way to deal with his anger and bitterness, though I guess it does add drama to the story : ). At least Corey has Jenny and Clinton, and hopefully Trouble, who sounds so adorable. Your comment below has me intriged about the interesting things you have planned for this story - now I'm looking forward to new updates even more!

    Great first chapter! It sucked me into their world right away, and I'm really eager to read more about these characters. I love stories with jockish jerk types that (hopefully) end up redeeming themselves or being humbled some with the help of a guy like Asher - so, I'm really glad that I came across this story : ). Thanks for sharing it, & looking forward to the rest!

    wow... this thread is getting depressing ... um, can we maybe go back to the torches & pitchforks? All this talk of writers disappearing is making me kind of nervous... Not that that will happen with Dom, but sometimes u never know... Anyway, Dom's been one of the most reliable/consistent authors when it comes to posting, so we've been pretty spoiled...

    lol... ANYway... well said writeincode and maya, i totally agree... As for the reasons for the lack of sex/intimacy scenes... Unlike most of Dom's other stories, which were about highschool students & tended to focus on one relationship developing between two characters, ITFB is more broad in its focus, and is about "a bunch of people trying to sort out their lives" [Dom]. I was thinking maybe that could be one of the reasons Dom decided not to go into more detail on the Dennis/Travis relationship? (Does that make sense?)

    I had pink eye once a long time ago... My eye swelled up quite a bit, oh and the 'pinkness' might be a symptom too? Well, I hope you don't have it, or at least that it's a mild version that doesn't made you look 'freakish' ... I think there's eye drops that will cure it... Heheh, guess that didn't help too much! Sorry :S

    This chapter had quite a few humorous parts...like John Gordon and Travis' repartee, and Dennis' and Aiden's subtle 'showdown'... heheheh I imagine it's probably Travis and Allan as kids?? And I don't think Travis will be too happy when he finds out it's missing... I wonder how D & T's 'kiss conversation' is gonna go ... Also, props to Travis! This is probably the first time Dennis has felt 'butterflies' . P.S. I really hope Travis gets to sleep in the near future...

    I agree... Unless I was on the other side of his fists of course : )... I think Travis displays a lot of good qualities... He's friendly and charismatic--he gets along with everyone (from Reilly's parents to Lacy to John Gordon to Dennis, who, let's face it, doesn't have that much of a personality). And he shows consideration for others, such as when he objects to Dennis slamming the door in Reilly's face, or when he warns Dennis that he's about to punch him : ). For him to be like this, despite his past, i think it's kinda impressive... And I don't blame him for not wanting to talk about his shit either... Anyway, just felt the need to defend Travis . Of course, I could be biased, 'cause he is my favourite character...
