    Chapter 2

A purely speculative notion, but I could see Mrs Hamilton having a positive impact on young Levi's life when he presumably moves to live with Matt and the gang at Beachside Lane, Thompsonville, just as she did on all the boys when they first moved there all those years ago. I wonder if a move to Thompsonville is on the cards for Matt's parents? They are presumably approaching retirement age, and the city upon which Macquarie Harbour is loosely based is the retiree capital of NSW. My speculative juices are stirring already after this chapter @Mark Ponyboy Peters. I sense this is going to be another "classic". A quiet achiever like SOS or The Name Of The Game.

    Chapter 2

The best treatment for hay fever in the current climate is dark chocolate and plenty of it @Mark Ponyboy Peters. A large cup of organic hot chocolate or double chocolate chip cookies or a block of dark chocolate. I have recently bought vegan dark chocolate and whilst it was quite tasty, it was not quite the same as non-vegan dark chocolate which does usually have a little bit of dairy in it.

    Chapter 2

I suspect Luke will take it in his usual calm and measured manner. It will be a great shock at first, but his selflessness will overcome the shock quickly and he will step up to the mark to welcome Levi into the Beachside Lane family.

    Chapter 2

No surprises. I have proven myself to be a twat again. I was way too harsh in my judgment of Julie's motivations for keeping Matt's son, now revealed to be Levi, whom I assume is the same Levi Toby will have moments of intimacy with in a few years time, a secret. Julie's motivations for keeping Levi a secret from Matt were not selfish, although the result of her motivations was at least partially selfish, particularly the impact it has had on Levi, who will shortly be thrust into a world with his father whom he had never heard of or met until now. I am still pissed off with Matt's parents though, particularly his mother. They could have handled the request he visit far more sensitively than they did. What a beautifully and sensitively written chapter @Mark Ponyboy Peters, not overly melodramatic or emotionally overwrought, yet I found myself "hay fever challenged" again. I don't like children as a general rule, and although Levi is no longer a child, I found myself feeling a great deal of sadness for him. He faces a significant challenge to adjust to life with Matt and Luke. I wonder who it will be who will poison his mind with anti-gay rhetoric? My assumption that it would be Julie seems to have been way off the mark. And what of Julie, ovarian cancer, an insidious disease which will kill her sooner rather than later it seems. I found myself reassessing her as a person too, a teenage girl who found herself in a position she thought she could handle by herself, and to her great credit it did not make her feel any bitterness towards Matt.
  5. I wait with bated breath for the next murder. There is an embarrassment of riches as to who is a deserved candidate. Death by frenzied stabbing, a fencing foil with tip sharpened rather than blunted? Death by poisoning, the victim's evening meal laced with mezereon? Death by electrocution, a heater thrown into a bath whilst its occupant is luxuriating in bubbles? Something to look forward to in this institution with a disproportionate number of privileged, spoilt narcissists. Future political candidates; billionaire industrial thugs and bullies; environmental rapists. Truly horrid people most of this cast @Laura S. Fox.
  6. Nor did I @Robert Hugill. My reaction to Neil's temper tantrum, subsequent jealous episode and current surly ignoring of Alex is best summed up by Alex's mother's response to Alex's alleged transgression: 'She smirked. “Well, in our little world you are. But returning to Neil: what was the problem?” “That I’d been there at all. Gar didn’t know and couldn’t know about us, about Neil.” “And your being there…?” “Might have given Gawain ideas.” “Oh, please.” She sighed. “Sorry, love, I don’t think there’s much more you can do.” If Neil is determined to behave as if he is 6 going on 7, then there is fuck all Alex can do, and frankly why should he. Neil is the one with issues and they are not Alex's issues to resolve for him. Neil is apparently morose and discontent at the moment according to his mother. Until he decides to put his big boy pants on and try to do something to help himself, no amount of worrying or extending an olive branch on the part of Alex is going to help Neil. Listen to the wise counsel of @Gary L, accept the friendship/relationship is over and move on.

    Chapter 6

    I wholeheartedly agree.

    Chapter 7

Good point @dboggs9700, which has made me shudder to think George may be sexually abusing Noah. George is a slovenly, large, fat turd and Noah is a very small statured boy. It would probably not take a great deal of strength from George to restrain Noah whilst he rapes him. Noah may even think he deserves it as a punishment for being gay.

    Chapter 7

Pam to George "Oh Georgie, Mamma's waitin' in the closet like a good little dumplin' for ya darlin'".

    Chapter 7

“It’s okay. Brett used to take forever,” Amy joked. “My jaw would be killing me by the time I was done.” Well that took what little enjoyment Colt got from Amy's blowjob and threw it in the can. She sure was keen and apparently able to deep throat. Is her family name Lovelace by chance @mastershakeme? Her comment “I’m sorry,” Amy said awkwardly. “I don’t mean to be a pain, I just figured we should hang out since we’re dating now.” was creepy to say the least, primarily because I think she meant it. At first I thought she was joking, but I actually think she believes what she said. 👻👻👻👻. Why oh why is Noah protecting the odious troll, the one who is abusing him? Does he fear George will kill him or traffic him into sex slavery? Something has to give. Hopefully it will be George's heart, a cardiac arrest brought on by obesity, or Pam might finally grow a spine and belt him with a piece of @drsawzall's well known 4 x 2 or maybe a Whipper Snipper whilst it is still on. Goddamn it, where is Beverly Sutphin when she is most needed. LOL.

    Chapter 1

Too true @quttzik. Matt's mother seemed far calmer upon his arrival at the hospital than she apparently was when she telephoned Matt to inform his father was in the hospital. The fact she hung up on Matt and forwarded her phone to voicemail made it seem something dire had befallen Matt's father. She may need a stern talking to from both Matt and her husband if a life or death scenario did not exist.

    Chapter 6

I wonder @SilentandBroken if Colt had not, at least from Noah's perspective, made friends with Amy, Brett, Tyler and Christina, if Noah would have been more inclined to trust him. Those four, with the exception of Amy (perhaps) have given Noah grief in the past, so he fears Colt by association will likely do the same going forward. Colt's "confrontation" with George, although well intentioned, made Noah very uncomfortable as he knows only too well what a cu%t George is. And whilst I have no doubt his mother, Pam, fears George, I don't buy the excuse she cannot do something about George's treatment of Noah. There is no indication, at least thus far, that George owns a gun(s) or has harmed Pam in any way, so she needs to stop allowing her husband to abuse her son.

    Chapter 1

This could be Matt’s son @Suddaby. Well spotted.
  14. Summerabbacat

    Chapter 6

Not so stupid that he found Rylee attractive though.
  15. Summerabbacat

    Chapter 6

He has a spine, a moral compass and is capable of independent thought. Amy may possess these qualities too, albeit in “lower doses”. The other four, of no substance.
  16. Summerabbacat

    Chapter 6

And so not worth the effort.

    Chapter 6

Damn! No chainsaw wielding deranged murderers, or hillbillies with poor dental hygiene, or supersized wild animals affected by an environmental toxin swimming in the lake, intent on killing or consuming human flesh. What a disappointment.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Brett is an arsehole, apparently just like his father, the sheriff, but at least he did not like Rylee and was unimpressed with her high maintenance behaviour, which she proudly displayed and thought amusing. She is hoping he will get her a part-time job. For the sake of her mother, I hope it is not one which is too intellectually demanding or requires any concerted effort to actually work. Tyler is a turd, and a lazy one at that, refusing to assist in carrying the beer inside as he does not do heavy lifting. Perhaps he is a millennial princess just like Rylee. Maybe he and Christina should have a three way with Rylee, a mutt and two muffs. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮. Methinks Tyler does protest a little too much about the "faggot" Noah too. Amy is the only one of the group aside from Colt, who has even an ounce of compassion and humanity. “Yeah, well, I need you to come inside so we can get this beer in the fridge,” Brett said, angling for the front door. “Amy! Come open this for us.” A rare, very humorous moment in this chapter @mastershakeme, albeit unintentional I suspect. Because the group had been talking about beer and weed, I misread the latter part of this sentence as "Amyl Come open this for us". I quickly realised the error, but the ! does bear a resemblance to the letter l. LOL.

    Chapter 1

@Gary L are the Spaniards similar in attitude to the bulk of other Western Europeans in that wearing such an outfit on a public beach would barely raise an eyebrow?
  19. Summerabbacat

    Chapter 1

That would be cause for concern @chris191070, but given Matt's father's chill response it may not be anything serious, other than "you are a father, Matt", in which case his mother needs the riot act read to her.
  20. Summerabbacat

    Chapter 1

A lime green mankini then @Gary L, Borat style?
  21. Summerabbacat

    Chapter 5

The response by Pam, Noah's complicit-in-abuse mother, that Noah is in "quarantine" is very concerning. It makes him sound like he has some communicable disease like rabies. I wonder if George has Child Services "in his pocket" such that they have turned a blind eye to his abuse of Noah. Hopefully Colt will report his concerns to Child Services at least. I was also appalled at Tyler's and Christina's comments about Noah. The only one of three who had anything kind to say about Noah was Amy.

    Chapter 5

Part of the fun is having characters to loathe. The difference with this story is we are spoilt for choices.
  23. Summerabbacat

    Chapter 5

    And very desirable, not. LOL.
  24. Summerabbacat

    Chapter 5

I thought Colt would likely have easier access to a baseball bat, although this may not necessarily be the case depending on where the story is set. I was impressed Colt is beginning to see how awful his sister’s friends are, a reflection on what a vile person she is.
  25. Summerabbacat

    Chapter 5

"Rylee’s friends left through the front. “You didn’t have to be such a bitch,” Rylee protested at once. “They didn’t have to eat anything. We were just talking.” “Sorry about that darling, it’s been a long day,” Michelle said wearily, then nodded for Colt to carry the groceries through to the kitchen. “There’s more out in the car, too.” Way to go Michelle. Let your disrespectful bitch daughter treat you like shit and do fuck all around the house to help you, and then ask your son to go fetch groceries from the car. Colt is by no means a model son, but Rylee needs to be slapped into the middle of next week. Whilst her mother is at work she could get off her lazy skanky arse and cook dinner, which would help to save money so her mother is not spending money on take away food all the time because she is so tired after work. However, little Miss Spoilt Bitch Millennial Princess is too busy on her phone to do anything to help around the house. As for her skanky friends Amy and the hideous Christina, bitches both. Hopefully Colt changes his mind and does not go away with them for the weekend and they all get so wasted they are in a car accident. Are they all killed, could Colt be so lucky. Pam, what a useless spineless mother, she'd rather see her son abused than stand up to George, the fat, slovenly, drunken turd bully. Maybe Colt might get a baseball bat and take to both of them, especially if George has harmed Noah. What a truly vile bunch of people. The only cast members with any redeeming features are Colt, Noah, Vincent and perhaps Michelle (if she would put her boot into Rylee's arse). Now I have said what I really mean @weinerdog, a cunch of bunts.
