  1. Me too @Sherye Story Reader, but I can't blame it on the menopause, which is why I blame the allergies. And I have just recognised even menopause is patriarchal. LOL.
  2. Wow! I am totally shocked. I had you born in 1992/1993 or later @Ticklishboy30. I should have twigged to this though as you have mentioned Pat Benatar before. You were 1 when she released the fabulous In The Heat Of The Night album. She is 73 years of age now and still looks good and unmodified. A little fuller figured, but still a smaller build.
  3. Gotta love those Muppets @Ticklishboy30. You are far too young to be aware of this song, but watching this reminded me The Muppets had a huge hit in Australia but not in the USA in 1977 with a song titled Mah Nà Mah Nà. An amusing novelty song which had been a hit before. Musical genius! What do you think @Paladin? Do you remember it?

    Chapter 5

For a split second I thought you were referring to Richard and Karen @drsawzall and I was delighted another reader was experiencing musical "inspirations" from stories here on GA. Alas, I soon realised you were referring to Captain Obvious, who seemed alarmingly unperturbed by what he had experienced. Is his relationship with power tools similar to Killian's experience with motor vehicles? If so, evacuate the building immediately. As to what he found in the wall, perhaps it was occupants of interplanetary craft. Gordon Wallace's vehement opposition to the archeological dig struck me as something more than just a personal vendetta against Lily. He appears to have a vested interest in any artefacts not being found, or perhaps he is the thief and has already removed any artefacts of value and is biding his time to sell said artefacts on the black market. I think Killian's immediate and easy connection with Jacy sealed the fate of his relationship with Micah. Seth's appearance out of the blue shortly thereafter merely reinforced my belief ABBA will be paying a visit to Killian and Micah shortly with my all-time favourite song. A profoundly moving song @Josh Aterovis, the opening chords alone bring tears to my eyes. A perfect pop song, the only thing I don't like is Frida's hideous fur coat. The sheer joy of ABBA, even melancholy or sad ABBA, suits your stories well in my opinion.
  5. So long as it is not Gary Glitter @Cane. Disco glitter will be very welcome.

    Chapter 9

Sherbet were an Aussie pop group from Sydney who were very popular in the 1970's @drsawzall. Their first top 10 hit in 1973 was a song titled Cassandra. @Mark Ponyboy Peters and I were born in the same year and remember them well. Their lead singer was named Daryl Braithwaite and another member was Garth Porter. They had a huge hit in Australia and the UK in 1976 with a song titled Howzat, which also made the Billboard charts peaking at #61.
  7. I noted with joy Stephen lifted his head up to look at the cameraman rather than continuing to look down. This in itself showed great courage on his part, and the fact neither Luisa nor the cameraman reacted negatively to his appearance must have boosted his confidence. It was more than cool to add this @Lee Wilson. Oh yeah, you might want to have the tissues handy. Anti-spoiler, I didn’t kill anyone. Tissues you say. I almost drowned Frida who is virtually on top of my laptop as I type (as is her usual behaviour). Damn allergies seem to have been greatly affected when Michael won gold, not once, but twice. When you stated Michael was off to Birmingham as his first lead up to the Paralympics I thought "wow he is going all the way to the UK". I quickly realised it must be somewhere in the USA, but had no idea where Birmingham was in the USA. After researching I assume it was Birmingham, Alabama @Lee Wilson?
  8. "James than asked “What salary will you be paying Francesco, we haven’t discussed it” “You really are your mother’s son, aren’t you? It’s always show me the money, with you lot” “That’s what makes the world go round” “Yes, of course. As you will be our headline act I’ll pay you the same as Duo Eros. I think you’ll find that most agreeable”. Will that payment be the total of what both members of Duo Eros were to be paid, or half thereof assuming each was paid an equal amount? “I know… that is I did…I mean I should have been more careful. It’s just that my love for Wanda made my heart overrule my brain.” “Love!, we’ll see about that” Is Jack displeased his daughter is dating a non-circus boy or is it that she is dating at all? He is quite the grump, although Candy seems to have some degree of "control" over him, or is at least not afraid to speak her mind: “Thank you for your medical diagnoses nurse Candy” “Fuck you Jack!” Candy replied and left the meeting." Have you been taking selfies again @Wombat Bill? Is that a photograph of your abs on display above the opening paragraph of this story?
  9. It has just occurred to me @Robert Hugill that perhaps Graham was the intended victim of the murder rather than Aunt Daphne. What if Thomas Englert is the murderer and his shock was genuine because he believed he had murdered Graham rather than Aunt Daphne. Did each have their own car and did they ever swap cars? If my wild speculation has no merit, then it appears as if Graham may have been the murderer or at least orchestrated the murder of his spouse. Charlie's attack on Thomas Englert was as funny as it was foolhardy. It could have ended in tragedy, or at least pain and/or discomfort. Louie and Charlie continue to have a positive effect on each other. They calm and excite each other in equal measure, and seem to make each other laugh frequently too, often laughing at the ridiculous which I have always thought is very healthy.
  10. A punch in the guts for Caleb? Literally? Delivered by the Food Thief, Kilby or someone else entirely? Is the Food Thief the dishwasher? Is it just a coincidence Lucas thought he saw Kilby across the road from the restaurant on the evening the Food Thief steals an orange plastic bag filled with food? And was the stolen food all perishables given it was in the cool room? Very intriguing @Wombat Bill. I am sure that now Howard & Richards (does not have the same "ring" to it as Starsky & Hutch or Cagney & Lacey) are on the case, the crime will be solved before you can say hard-on in a cool room or erect nipples on ice.

    Chapter 9

I often write nonsense like this to cheer myself up. Today has been a really shitty day workwise, and my beloved Frida has also really struggled today. When she and/or her "sister" are not well it is anything but a summer day (and the weather has not been summery at all for much of the summer).

This looks like Trixie Mattel. Is it so @Cane23

    Chapter 9

That was addressed in the rest of my comment which disappeared @Cane23. In short, Princes' Raemande and Manikato will share the throne, and each will rule with their male lover, in a kingdom where having not just one gay ruler, but two, will be of no consequence to the citizens of Jeebath. Cassandra will also have a special place in the kingdom, and will be the only one of the five who is a Queen by title. She also enjoys an active social life as the house mother of the houses of Chic, BoneyM, KC Sunshine and VillagePeople.

    Chapter 9

I am fuming @Mark Ponyboy Peters I was toggling between two screens for chapter 9 and had not pressed 'Add Comment' on either, and had written a lot more. Fucking technology pisses me off yet again and it is a waste of time now to add the rest of the comment and make the changes I had on the other screen. FFFFFFAAAAAARRRRRRKKKKKK.

    Chapter 9

In this chapter we learn Prince Raemande, second in line to the throne of Jeebath, entered into a lavender marriage with his childhood friend, Cassandra, who bore him a son, Daryl Garth Sherbet of Jeebath, grandson of King Roban Sherbet of Jeebath. Meanwhile, Raemande’s brother, Manikato, who is the rightful king of Jeebath, lives in exile in the kingdom of Discorama where it is summer all year round, with his best friend and lover, Zerpour Atlantika Jewel aka Santa Esmeralda. The Dark Lord, Septimus, has imprisoned Prince Raemande in an attempt to lure Manikato back to Carronne where Septimus intends to kill him. Septimus is unaware that Manikato, like his brother Raemande, is gay, and that his lover Santa Esmeralda is the grandson of Willem aka The Warlock. Willem’s daughter, Makybe, like her father also possesses supernatural powers, including extraordinary strength and stamina, which Santa Esmeralda inherited from his mother. Any threat to the life of his beloved, Manikato, is an invitation to an apocalypse brought on by Santa Esmeralda, Makybe and Santa Esmeralda’s father, Bletchingly, one which Willem has foreseen and awaits with a sense of joy and antici..........pation. It is many years since Willem has seen his daughter, son-in-law and grandson, and his vision has indicated the death of Septimus will also result in a miracle most extraordinary, one which only Bletchingly’s sister, Sunline, could bring about, the restoration of his, the Warlock's, eyesight. Of course, this is all mere conjecture as the Knights of the Order of the Dragon face insurmountable odds with the sheer number of Septimus’ troops. Perhaps a great plague is looming for Septimus and his troops, one which uses a human vessel in the form of Ruby, to spread its toxins. Ruby as the host is unaware and shows no symptoms herself, but in her generosity to keep the troops entertained, the plague quickly spreads amongst the troops as they engage in "sins of the flesh" with the amply proportioned and ravenous Ruby.
  16. Kissing leads to horizontal dancing leads to ....all manner of fun. The cards are proving to be true, passion to varying degrees is uniting the throuple, making them stronger and more resilient. Imagine their combined strength once Theo gets over his resistance to the three fucking; their qi will increase exponentially with the exchange of their life force.
  17. Now that is just cruel @Paladin. LOL. I may have to engage the services of @Ticklishboy30 to punish you. 30 minutes of tickle torture followed by 5 minutes of across-the knee-spanking, with a paddle owned by Dame Maggie Smith which she used to keep Dames Joan Plowright, Judi Dench and Eileen Atkins in line during the filming of Tea With The Dames. Either that, or force you to sit through a viewing of Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights followed by Melania, twice. Actually that is just too cruel. Punishment by @Ticklishboy30 it must be then.
  18. Cary and Grace? Caleb and Lucas? I think the latter will do quite nicely to investigate and hopefully catch a thief. The only "hitch" I can see in this plan is what if the thief is Charley. I must say I would be somewhat embarrassed, at least, if I was Juanito that he had not detected this anomaly before. Has he been asleep at the wheel? The "L" word. Some use it flippantly whilst others find it difficult to admit. The inspiration for poets, authors, songwriters and bullshit artists since time began. Many a song with this title, but I like this one because the song and the video are so quirky.
  19. I just noticed on The Story Lover site you have published it with a capital T @Paladin so am not surprised by this response. In my comment I initially questioned if it was inspired by k. d. lang whom I believe was inspired by cummings, but thought that was a question too silly even for me to ask. Spooky.
  20. Dare I be so bold as to suggest the faithful have invested in the story already and the speculative "juices" are a result of this.
  21. My thinking was the client was Martin's mother. His biological father was English and he left his estate to Martin's mother, with a proviso that upon her death Martin inherited the estate. The estate is substantial and in deference to her daughter, Martin's mother left all work related to the estate and Martin's inheritance of it in the hands of his biological father's solicitors in the UK. That is my speculation and I am sticking to it. LOL.
  22. I am intrigued @Paladin if the story title turmoil with a lower case t rather than an upper case T is of significance?

    Chapter 15

I actually loathe her version @drpaladin much to the dismay of those who admired her.
  24. This story is giving every indication it will be another success for you @Paladin if the interest in the first chapter is any guide, and I cannot see why it should not be. Congratulations from Dannii, who is almost unrecognisable in this video. She has certainly improved with "age" and a little "modification" here and there. And I am not being facetious as I think she, like Kylie, is fabulous.
  25. This was my reasoning @Davide, particularly given Martin and his sister have what appears to be a very good relationship with each other. I thought their mother may have wanted to avoid any possible discomfort or friction between the two if the revelation of a different father and an inheritance from him was revealed to Martin's sister as well as Martin.
