  1. My spider senses tell me that there may be some major drama coming with Patrick. Also, prophetic words from Chipper about Owen.... Good chapter!

    Mary's Place

Great beginning! If Harley was a real kid, I’d adopt him in a heartbeat.
  3. Great third book in the universe of CJ! Looking forward to Spring!

    Growin' Up

What an eventful chapter and cliffhanger at the end! I wasn’t expecting that! Looking forward to the next book. Thanks, Carlos!

    Chapter 29

It’s interesting to see Shea and Cyn out and about. No one to chase after or try to hurt him. Just a calm, romantic chapter... and a lot of curiosity.
  6. Not a bad sermon *ahem* reverend! Seriously, I didn’t expect to see that, given how you feel about church... I feel compelled to say that while there is a lot of negative people in the church, from lay people to those of the cloth, let me say, THIS reverend ain’t one of them...I tend to live and let live, and to each his own.... there’s a whole lot in that sermon that I whole heartedly agree with. (Not too bad for someone from north Alabama.) And, have I mentioned, I’m really enjoying the story?
  7. And so concludes Autumn...CJ gets adopted...and also Defiant the Jeep is born! What a great story! I’m loving this story!
  8. Damn! That’s a lot to take in. Although I don’t get why there’s the sadness thing going on...I presume it’ll be explained soon enough...but in the meantime, wow!

    Yessir. Definitely.

    One word: WOW!

    My Lucky Day

That Harley though...he’s a mess! He reminds me of a character (by the name of CJ) from the sci-fi story The Brotherhood. Goes with the flow and generally carefree. And good for CJ for not outing himself at the meeting...that should definitely be the person’s choice to out themself or not.
  12. I’m not a big reviewer on much of anything, however, this storyline struck a chord with me, and I feel compelled to write. The events from beginning to end of CJ/Summer left me wanting for more. In my humble opinion, that’s what a good story should do. It made me reminisce about my former home in Alabama with Doc’s storyline, and made me relate to him more than anyone else. It made me angry at CJ’s parents for throwing him out at such a young age, and happy that he found a forever home with his dads...and made a bunch of new forever friends in the process. It also made me laugh when CJ kicked the phobic biker’s tail and took names to boot, and made me feel proud when he stood up for his family and friends. Long story short, the folks in CJ are relatable, not fantastical. I’d say overall, it’s a fabulous start to CJ’s adventures.
  13. *AHEM* In my best north Alabama accent... Ain’t nothin’ quite like endin’ a book like endin’ a book with a cliffhanger....except endin’ a book with multiple cliffhangers! Great first book!

    Chapter 28

Oh the childlike innocence on Cyn! Also, the overnight shenanigans from Kara and Jamie though... It’s been so long since I had my first cup of coffee...and I still remember my first reaction, very similar to Cyn’s. Now, it’s more like, just hand over the coffee and no one gets hurt. Great chapter!

    Crush on You

Proverbial fit has hit the shan... Of all the nerve... unfortunately there are some real people out there who would try to sneak something like this whole business with Chip and Ian. Great writing!

    No Surrender

Eventful chapter...and full of drama and potential drama.
  17. What a tool Lourdes is...and not a useful one either! I would NEVER do that to either of my two kids...ever. Good chapter!
  18. Looks like I have some back reading to do. Still new to this...and loving it!
  19. Most excellent chapter. “Rocky Mountain High” is one of all time favorites....and I love playing it too. Something soothing about that song and John Denver’s voice...(and James Taylor’s too)...that can calm me down when I need it. So, Ritch has one more semester...what could POSSIBLY go wrong...maybe not a whopper, but perhaps a Big Mac instead? Keep it coming...enjoying the story immensely.
  20. Great chapter! Knew he could do it although I wonder how he’ll manage after his first kill.
  21. What a massive cluster f up is this! Inraon curious about about a couple of things... 1 what is the name of the agency? 2. Tyler was too good to overpower three trained agents or was it just sheer dumb luck?
  22. Great chapter! When I read the title I immediately thought of anything EXCEPT Aiden’s jealousy. But having two kids of my own it makes total sense....and I would’ve NEVER have thought of that combination for a drink. I’m gonna have to try that soon.
  23. Holy cat humpin mountain goat! Go get em Vinnie!
