I just finished Season 5 Episodes 6-8 of Poldark on Netflix. In addition to being enamored of the title character (Ross Poldark as played by an extraordinarily sexy Aiden Turner), it gave me a greater appreciation of The Peace of Amiens! I strongly recommend the entire series that gives amazing perspective of the historical significance of this story and characters like Cavendish and Granger; not to mention Mark Arbour’s wonderful tapestry! Mark, more please!!!

Chapter 10 - Forgiveness
Zack1614 commented on Jeff Burton's story chapter in Chapter 10 - Forgiveness
Oddly enough, Chris is my favorite character. He is steadfast, loving (unconditionally), supportive and manifests his care for those he loves with words and actions (even being a great cook to sustain his family). Both his father and his brother are deeply in his debt and it is also obvious the high opinion that others hold of him! Please do not continue to punish him unjustly! -
Chapter 10 - Forgiveness

WTF? Where is the conclusion? What about Chris? -
Yeah,I have an IQ over a buck and a half and I have done some MONUMENTALLY stupid shit! It is so much easier to see at arm’s length than as hindsight!
-
Being an unrepentant romantic, this plot line hits home! Frustrating as it is, Maxy, what the shit is wrong with you? Self sabotage much??
-
No! I mean I pictured those characters in my mind’s eye. I would not know where to begin to AI them! Wish I coukd!!
-
GREAT VISUALS! Thank you! As a history buff these are about what I pictured in my mind’s eye. Have also done with Russians, French, Talleyrand, the ladies, the King and the Prince of Wales! CAN YOU AI them too!!??

Love this saga BUT: please don’t forget Peace of Amiens!!! thanks Mark! Must be my precognitive ability! 😉

While sad at Carlos’ passing, I am glad he did not live to see tRump elected a second time; at least he passed on in days of higher hope for our future! RIP Carlos!

To me “CJ” would make an excellent movie franchise and outstrip Red, White and Royal Blue and proposed sequel!
-
Thank you; nice to know we are not alone (in several meanings of the words)!

I am totally addicted to the “CJ Saga”! With CJ and Ozzie I have not longed for the actual existence of fictional characters since the likes of Jed Bartlett and CJ Creeg or Elizabeth Bennett and her Mr. Darcy ! It makes me so sad that when I finish with Carlos’ literary offerings here, there will be no more forthcoming. Additionally, even greater sadness; as a part time resident of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida [a Virginian, former resident of New York and graduate of George Mason University School of Law (I continue to not acknowledge the present tense of Antonin Scalia School Of Law, ASSOL)] I will not find the ability to meet Carlos in person! His intellect, breadth of knowledge and obvious intellectual curiosity makes my pulse race! May his memory be eternal. AND, why the hell is the “CJ Saga” not a multi volume NY Times bestseller???!
-
Oh Carlos; would that you were still around to see how deeply you you touch MANY!

All comments focus on Brad, his loss and C.J. marshaling Brad’s support system. Let’s not forget Dano and the issues surrounding his probable return to Hawaii minus Trip. I envision C. J. acquiring yet another business/real estate asset (Rogo). How I wish Carlos was still around to comment; we all miss him greatly!

LOVE the reference to Cory and Efrain, another favorite (although incomplete) saga! I wish Dayne Mora would resurface and give us more!

Just a funny bit of trivia: I attended George Mason University School of Law (GMUSL) and years later, after a SUBSTANTIAL contribution by the Koch brothers, the name was changed to the Antonin Scalia Law School of George Mason University. The reason for that particular name being selected was that the original proposal was to name it the Antonin Scalia School of Law BUT it was realized that if THAT was the name, the anagram would have been ASSOL!

The Countess von Lieven
Zack1614 commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in The Countess von Lieven
It seems George’s progeny will populate Europe similar to the descendants of Queen Victoria! It is a good thing that his liaisons with men cannot produce offspring!- 32 comments

Max and Roman: sex while Tara watches TV? if not I will be monumentally disappointed; except this time I want Roman to benefit from Max’s sexpertise (if you know what I mean)?!

#SquadGoals #NoIWillNotStopTalkingAboutTheCat
Zack1614 commented on Dayne Mora's story chapter in #SquadGoals #NoIWillNotStopTalkingAboutTheCat
Does anyone know anything about “Dayne”? The lack of an ending here and no additional submissions for years is concerning! I know there are many of us who want more of this story! I have followed another author whose fans subsequently learned that he had passed away; I hope this is not the case with “Dayne”??? -
I have a theory: it is said authors write at least a part autobiography in many of their characters. I have finally caught up in CAP and am devouring Bridgemont. Considering the amazing historical research that has gone into both series and the amazing multi character development, I have come to the belief that Mark IS part CAP’s JP and part Bridgemont’s Granger!! Well Mark??

Mark, Sorry to pick nits but the term is “toe the line” not “tow the line”!

Mark, I am officially a MA addict! A few months ago I stumbled across "Gap Year" and quickly realized it was a later volume of an ongoing saga. I decided to go to "square one" of CAP. I have read voraciously, my only limit being the time I could spend. I have finally caught up (took maybe 7-9 weeks) and am desolate that now I am in the same position as other followers and must wait as each new chapter is posted! But, the character introductions and development have been Now that I must wait for additions to CAP, I have begun from paragraph one of Bridgemont and am enjoying that just as much (I have had to look up NUMEROUS 18th early 19th nautical definitions)! As I have said before, your social references, time sensitive aprospos colloquial syntax and spot on research is outstanding and tickles me! The only other time I have had this much fun reading has been as delving into Jane Austen (I have probably read "Pride and Prejudice 6 times as the language is so beautiful). I do hope that Will and JJ can come to terms. ANY family "feud" of such magnitude is nothing but destructive; they are still brothers and JJ must grow up and stop being such an unreliable bitch! I have strong visceral feelings about each of your characters ranging from admiration (JP) to lust (Will) to tolerance (JJ) to enmity (Zach) and more! I cannot help but think how much fun a dinner with you and a bottle or two of good wine would be!
