@drsawzall To be fair, Pandemonium is broken up into many kingdoms/domains with Rose, Eris, Necron, and Minerva being the four largest and most powerful ones. And the war for control of it has raged for eons, spanning the reigns of numerous Kings and Queens of Hell, much like how China was originally divided into many warring factions until Emperor Qin united them into one kingdom under him.

@drsawzall Who’s to say he won’t betray Lord Abraxas instead. @VBlew Yes she is. Also, time works differently in Pandemonium; one month in the human world is a century there. Travis spends a total of 6 centuries in Pandemonium and ages 6 months per century due to his healing factor.

@drsawzall You don’t know the half of it. This book is way darker than the first one and focuses on the court intrigue of Rose as Travis learns demonic magic. Also, each chapter will focus on one POV character and the order is as follows: Travis, Travis, Lord Abraxas, Pro, and Josh.

@drsawzall Yes. The tag line of the next book is: The road out of hell is long and paved in blood and betrayal. @VBlew Exactly. He plays on Travis’s ego and tells him what he wants to hear. But a big part of Travis’s arc in book 2 is learning to bide his time and overcome said anger issues. And yeah, JJ’s arc in the series is learning to love himself and others in a healthy way and to set boundaries.

Inside Travis’s mindscape, he and Prometheus faced off. He Popped behind Prometheus and, tongue hanging out of his mouth, blasted him into the ground with flames. Prometheus rose, dusted himself off, and liquefied the ground, trapping Travis. Travis formed his earthen prison into diamond armor and daggers and gave chase. Prometheus dodged his attacks, conjuring diamond daggers of his own, and they squared off. Travis’s blades clashed against Prometheus’s, leaving a chip in each.
