Elliot has been through a lot, but it hasn't changed who he is. He's a very special and sensitive young man who appreciates what Danny, Brandon, and the others have done for him. He chose an excellent way to show it, because the dinner and present were perfect. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

An Unexpected Consideration
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in An Unexpected Consideration
I think Benny has been with the Curries long enough now and feels comfortable with them, so this isn't going to affect him. He may think about it, but that's all. -
Yes, and I appreciate your support. I will announce my decision when I post the last chapter to Book 3.

Saying Farewell To a Difficult Year
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Saying Farewell To a Difficult Year
Yes, a lot has been going on in these last few chapters. The other boys told Ricky multiple times over the years that some day he'd go too far and the recipient would get even, and I think he met his match in Elliot. As they say, payback is a bitch, but unfortunately it all happened when Ricky was already feeling down. Oh, well. Yes, Elliot got upset about Josh, Danny, and Brandon knowing he'd been fooling around with the other boys, but that's cleared up now and everything is good. Let's hope it continues. -
Are you conspiring with Baby Xander? lol

Sorting Through the Memories
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Sorting Through the Memories
Tragedies seem to be a group effort in the Currie household to get the affected person back to normal. The family has done this many times already, with Pat's accident, Jessie's situation, and others, and now with Elliot. Btw, just so you know, Elliot's story was based on a real young man I became acquainted with when he got older. Many of the details were changed to fit the story, but the basics are all true. I included him in the story as a way to help him cope with what he'd been through and as a way it could share it with others. -
Nothing like trying to use flattery to get what you want. lol

I'm glad you enjoyed it, since it was considerably different from the previous Halloween celebrations.

Butcher, I'm glad you're catching up with the story and are enjoying it. Yes, after enjoying their vacation together, they planned a birthday party for Frankie and Kylie and Josh didn't know they were planning to celebrate his 60th birthday as well. It all went off well, and now the grandchildren are going to be able to spend another week at the house, so everything is going very well and the grandchildren are back in the picture. It's good to see everything returning to normal.

And a favorite of the parents visiting the campuses.

I'm glad you enjoyed it and all the Curries get involved, maybe not in the actual even, but somehow, even the Grand-pappies.

Thanks, Stix, and I'm glad you enjoyed it even though it was considerably different from the others.

Thanks, Weley.

Chapter 36 - Many Reasons To Celebrate
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 36 - Many Reasons To Celebrate
Yes, this chapter had a lot going on and it was all very good. With graduations, retirement, and planning the commitment ceremonies there was plenty to affect nearly all of the family, and it's not over yet. The older boys will be going to graduate school and the commitment ceremonies are yet to come, so I hope you continue to enjoy it. -
After we’d taken care of the puppies and put them in their carrier, we ate lunch with the family and then Ryan and I got busy working on the Haunted House. His friends arrived a short time later and helped us finish up with the final details so now it was ready for visitors to go through it. Before we took his friends home, however, I told them what would happen next. “We’ll have the practice run tomorrow night, just as soon as it gets dark, and I want you to wear the same clothes you plan

Thanks, Butcher, and this is an exciting time for the Curries. Dion and Trey are thrilled to be new dads, but they are also unsure about what to do, and then they have to consider college as well. Yes, they are lucky to have Josh and Jake at home to help out with Joshie, and you're right, I'm sure he will be quite spoiled and some of the uncles are jealous of his equipment. It will only get worse as he grows older, because I'm certain it will continue growing.

Happy Birthday, Dave. I hope it was a great one!

Yes, there's a lot going on again. Some of Josh's older children may possibly be mending fences with him and Josh is working with Jesse to reconcile with what happened to him. Hopefully, it will work out for all of them.

Yes, Stix, and the new rules to protect the religious freedoms of those making the rules and limited the chances for the LGBTQ community to both adopt and foster kids. It's a shame and a huge step backward, so hopefully things will change after 2020.

Jim, I'm glad you're enjoying this story, and yes, this gave a nice comparison to when Danny first enrolled at Penn State as an undergraduate. If I do a Book 4, the story will still be set with the country and politics in the background, and as @Stix pointed out above, the country has regressed in LGBTQ matters since Trump became President. I dread the day if Pence should ever become President, because he'll be even worse, but I'll try to paint the scenes as accurately as I can. Thanks to both of you for your feedback.
-
Thanks, flesco, I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. Yes, the weekend at Penn State started out awkwardly, but things eventually worked out, and you're correct about boys and puppies. The boys have been very responsible so far and hopefully it will continue.

Chapter 33 - A Confession And A Revelation
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 33 - A Confession And A Revelation
Yes, it was an unfortunate accident, but everything seems to have worked out with no long lasting repercussions. Andrew will be alright, and possibly he's learned a lesson about playing pranks in the process, and Jessie talked. As I mentioned earlier, it is said that God truly works in mysterious ways. Thanks for the feedback. -
I recommended that Wyatt stay home from school on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday that week, and then I cleared him to return on Thursday. Dad took care of him during the day and allowed Wyatt to come downstairs until it was time for the other boys to return home, and then he’d have him return to his bedroom. Trey would take over as soon as he got to the house and he spent much of the evening sitting by Wyatt’s side. Brandon and I were busy making sure we packed a suitcase to take with us wh

Chapter 27- Much To Do On The Home Front
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 27- Much To Do On The Home Front
Yes, I think Nick has learned a lot about himself and his behavior, although it might have come a bit too late. He'll be lucky if the genital warts are all he contracted from his sexual flings, but let's hope it is not too late for him now. He and Shannon have seemed to connect, but how is Jake going to deal with that knowing Nick's past, and will Nick be satisfied with just one partner once he's cleared to have sex again? We'll see, and hopefully all will go well. -
Chapter 18 - An Easter Surprise
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 18 - An Easter Surprise
Yes, Jesse has been through some rough times, seeing his father murdered and been emotional abused by his step-father, so I'm sure he'll be better off at the Hotel with Josh and the others, but you never know where help will come from. As the old saying goes, God works in mysterious ways, so we'll see what happens here.
