Thanks for the review Okiegrad. Yes, I don't write syrupy sweet stories. -
Erik’s POV After Dad and Jerry left, that SOB Dr. Tinsdale said I was wrong to threaten him with committing a sexual offense. I told him to get the fuck out of my life or I would ruin his reputation and if he so much as got close enough to me I would hit him in a place he’d regret for the rest of his miserable life. He stared at me and said, “You’ve been living with that devil worshipper for too long, boy.” “Get out of this room!” I yelled. “Get away from me, you religious freak.” The door op

Chapter 11 - The Bad Side of Parenting
CarlHoliday commented on CarlHoliday's story chapter in Chapter 11 - The Bad Side of Parenting
Thanks for the review Lux. To me Geoff has always been an enigma. In "Remembering Time" he was a highly intelligent, sexually charged teen who experienced great loss and recovery. Now, he is a college professor at the end of his career; who, it might be said, only taught because it was a good hobby and it allowed him to be around other scholars. Coming up in Chapter 12 we'll see Erik in hospital dealing with Dr. Tinsdale, his disability, and an unexpected savior. In Chapter 13, Jerry accompanies Geoff down to NYC and encounters an unbelievable nightmare. And, in Chapter 14, Jamie finally joins the fold, only to bring his own set of issues. -
Chapter 11 - The Bad Side of Parenting
CarlHoliday commented on CarlHoliday's story chapter in Chapter 11 - The Bad Side of Parenting
Thanks for the review. In my earlier story "Remembering Tim", Geoff goes down to LA to live with his big-time Hollywood producer uncle. In chapter one of "319", it says that Geoff inherited the bulk of the uncle's estate when he died in the 80's. Although it was not covered in "319", Geoff's inheritance multiplied quite well in the Wall Street markets. Unfortunately, Erik's life isn't going to go too well in the near future. In Chapter 14 when Jamie joins the fold, we'll see the extent of Erik's increasing disability. -
Geoff’s POV On Saturday morning, I went over to my house and sat in one of the Adirondack chairs on the front porch. Mrs. Frazier, the chair of the board of trustees, said she’d be back for my decision on whether I was going to come back fulltime or just quit. I’d heard that the Provost was gone; I guess he was offered and accepted a parachute that wasn’t quite golden, but wasn’t tarnished silver, either. I also heard that references wouldn’t be forthcoming from Warnton if he tried to get a sim

Just Some Thoughts On The Election Results . . .
CarlHoliday posted a blog entry in Melancholy ... the broken staff of life
If all goes according to the Constitution, Donald Trump will become the 45th President of these the Divided States of America on Friday, January 20, 2017. I suppose by the following Monday the order will go out to either the Army Corps of Engineers or some other government entity to begin construction on the Great Wall of America. When we threaten to bomb major cities in Mexico for not being forthcoming with the funds to cover the project is open to speculation because how else will we make them pay for it? When can we expect our troops to come home from South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan? Will they come home before our troops in Afghanistan, Iraq, Oman, Syria, and Turkey? When will our troops be coming home from Europe? If Putin asks for Alaska back, will Trump’s minions be able to negotiate a reasonable settlement based on the original price paid, plus interest, in lieu of armed invasion with tactical nuclear weapons? If North Korea launches an all-out attack on South Korea, will we go back to help them? Or, will we settle for no more Samsung or LG appliances and cell phones? If a nuclear armed missile from a North Korean submarine obliterates much of Los Angeles, what will the President tweet? When Iran annexes Iraq, will we care? When they send a nuclear armed missile targeted on downtown Tel Aviv, will we care? When President Trump signs the bill making same-sex marriage illegal throughout the country, will we care? How will President Trump convince GM, Ford, and Dodge to stop making their vehicles in Canada and Mexico? Will he force them with retaliatory legislation? Just some thoughts based on the words of the upcoming, new President of these the Divided States of America. -
Chapter 10 - The Gravity of the Situation
CarlHoliday commented on Cynus's story chapter in Chapter 10 - The Gravity of the Situation
Zane's father while being a total dick-head has got to be insane to try to murder his own son and Clint, too. You always hear about a father being particular who dates his daughters, but for this man to act the same way with his son is a bit much. To be decent, we can only hope Zane's father did not receive too much damage to the temporal lobe of his brain. -

CarlHoliday commented on CarlHoliday's story chapter in Chapter 10 - Erik's Visit With Dr. Finklemann
Thanks for the review Lux. Yes, poor Erik. Unfortunately, it doesn't look good for him in Chapters 11 and 12. I haven't quite decided what I'm going to do with Jamie. -
Erik’s POV On Friday Geoff took me to the mental health clinic in downtown Warnton. The receptionist gave him a clipboard with a paper on it and we went over to the waiting area and sat down. He entered my name and social security number at the top, plus the date. Then he started asking me questions. I tried real hard to answer them, but some of them just didn’t apply. I wanted to go back to the Campbell’s and lay down on Jerry’s bed hoping he might be there to be with me, but I had to stay her

In total, a beautiful story of a troubled young man seeking what he imagined could be a better life than the one he was raised to assume. Though, in some ways, maybe this story was a little too idealistic. Once Toph was away from the confines of Euphoria he blossomed like a flower held under foot and suddenly released to flower on its own. As a character, Toph is full and richly textured. But, strangely only good things come to Toph. There are dark clouds, but very little rain. If it wasn’t for the excellent writing, this story might have been one to put aside. The syrupy Epilogue wasn’t needed, but since they rarely accompany stories, it was nice to see that Toph’s luck never ran out.

Chapter 9 - My Fuck Sandwich
CarlHoliday commented on CarlHoliday's story chapter in Chapter 9 - My Fuck Sandwich
Thanks for the review Okie. As I see it now, things are going to settle down in the Johnson household, at least for the next couple chapters. There will be the Sunday Suppers, Erik coming home from the hospital, Jerry and Gerry trying to get to know each other, Jerry being lured to Barry and Clarence's apartment for sex and drugs, a possible love interest for Geoff, and the new boy, who will bring his own set of challenges. -
Chapter 9 - My Fuck Sandwich
CarlHoliday commented on CarlHoliday's story chapter in Chapter 9 - My Fuck Sandwich
Thanks for the review hoho. I believe Geoff's only experience with Barry and Clarence is in the classroom and at his Sunday Suppers. I believe he sees the Dynamic Duo as two young gay men who are exploring the world in their own way; and, if he has zero knowledge of their social life, how is he to know they are not harmless. I see Geoff excelling at his fostering classes and learning the intricacies of parenthood. Unfortunately for Jerry, the temptations offered by Barry and Clarence may sway his ability to see Gerry as a possible love interest. -

Thanks for the review, Lux. Unfortunately, this family isn't the Cleavers or the Andersons, but they will muddle along. I'm hoping Geoff will be picking up some parenting skills at his foster parenting classes. Yes, Barry and Clarence are a bit off the wall, but they will be back. They offer too many temptations to a young man who has a long way to go before reaching his cliff-edge. -
Jerry’s POV When I returned from classes on Monday, I went up to my room in 319 and found the gay sex book Geoff gave me. I looked in the index in the “T” section and found “Threesomes”. There were a number of pages indicating where that word could be found, so I went to the first one and read about daisy chains. Although Dave had sucked my cock, I could never imagine doing that to him. As much as he tried to get me to take his cum in my mouth, I did everything I could to prevent it mostly beca

Chapter 8 - Erik's First Day at Warnton High School
CarlHoliday commented on CarlHoliday's story chapter in Chapter 8 - Erik's First Day at Warnton High School
Okiegrad, thank you for the kind review. I am happy you liked WWW as that was a difficult story to write. I'm thinking there could be an intro chapter with Jamie in the group home in Lyons, but I'm not so firm on that premise. In all likelihood, I might just keep him off camera until Geoff receives his foster parent certification. -
Chapter 8 - Erik's First Day at Warnton High School
CarlHoliday posted new chapter in 319 Winesap Lane
Erik’s POV Geoff was nice enough to walk me to school and make sure I got checked in, but after he left and I had to go into the school I felt really alone. After all, I was the new kid and would be subject to all sorts of hazing until I figured out who I could count on as friends and who would be enemies. My first class was pre-algebra, something I’d taken before and could expect to receive a good grade, but the teacher, a Ms. Piggott, simply assumed I didn’t know shit and for the entire hour- 5 comments

Chapter 7 - Sunday Supper
CarlHoliday commented on CarlHoliday's story chapter in Chapter 7 - Sunday Supper
Thanks for the comment, Jay. No, I don't think advising readers to read William Walter Williams now is appropriate. Within the 319 realm, Will is still an unknown entity. I believe when he is formally introduced would be a more appropriate time to give an advisory to read his story. -
A Chance for Normalcy - Part 2
CarlHoliday commented on CarlHoliday's story chapter in A Chance for Normalcy - Part 2
Spikey, thank you for the interesting review. When I started out with William I didn’t see much of a future for him and suspected he would meet some form of tragic end. But, most of my stories are character driven and some just refuse to die, no matter in which direction I point them. I could very well have killed William on his first visit to Warnton. He could’ve gotten some heroin and died, but he didn’t. Then when he returned to Warnton to live with the Jenkins, he could’ve gone Goth and ended up being knifed by some religious goon. When Jeremy broke into the Jenkins’ house he could very well have murdered Will, but he didn’t. And, Tris for all of his experiences he could have killed Will, but he also didn’t. Finally, when Will was institutionalized at Centerhaven he could’ve encountered a crazed teen prostitute and been killed, but, again, he wasn’t. Will turned out to be a survivor and soon he will be entering the 319 Winesap Lane realm where I expect him to prosper. As far as mental health counseling goes, I’ve been to quite a few and only recently have reached some semblance of stability. I’ve had good and bad therapists. While most therapists were only concerned what was going on in my head at the “moment”, there were a few who seemed to have some degree of interest in my past. I guess it comes with the territory. Other than Dr. Finklemann, Will encountered mediocre therapists, at best. I suspect when Will does return to Warnton he will once again go into Dr. Finklemann’s care, if only because the old gentlemen seems to be able to communicate with his young patient. -
“Good afternoon Will, I’m Dr. Quinton; how are you doing?” he asked. Will opened his eyes and looked up into the face or as much of the face that wasn’t covered with the bushy black beard and mustache that took up most of it. The eyes were a warm brown under black eyelashes. The smile was welcoming. “I feel a little woozy,” Will said as he looked around the room. There were two of everything, except for the sink and medicine cabinet. He was confused because the room was different than the one

MULTIPLE POVs “First of all, I suppose we should have someone say the blessing,” Geoff said from the head of the long table. “I guess that would be my offering for today,” a voice said from about three quarters down the table. “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, if you will bow your heads. Dear Father as we gather here today to celebrate the beginning of another year at Warnton College, we thank Mark Andrews and his family for providing this room and their kitchen to the success of this ven
