  1. All I can add is roll on chapter six!
  2. Oh and as an afterthought, although we could do with a dozen Grasshoppers, I'd never try and wean him away from IOMFATS - he's happy there and has great support from his friends! And those will always include me!
  3. Sparhawk, I can't help but agree with you. I have emailed Jamie over a couple of his stories. I told him he should write professionally - I hope he does. I asked him a couple of things that amused him and he said he appreciated that someone could see beyond his words and realise there were other issues behind his stories. He has such a gentle nature, I feel I almost know him.
  4. It's probably not exactly in vogue to write and praise someone who isn't even an author who is hosted here, but hell!! This guy can write a tale and a half. I've just finished reading chapter 11 of 'Dreamchasers' by Grasshopper, because I'm on IOMFAT.org's mailing list and just found out about it today. I just wish that I could write as well as him, that's all, and it's why he's one of my fav authors. If any of you out there haven't yet read any of his stories, then you really are missing out on some good stuff. Ok, I'll shut up but do yourselfs a favour.......
  5. If the going gets tough Dan, just remember it's ok to ask for help. One person can't be expected to do everything, and you will need a break sometime yourself. Best Wishes mate - you're doing a grand job.
  6. I got as far as starting ch5 this morning, but then had to go out. What I've read so far I like. Oh boy how mixed up some people can get. It's nice to see all the angles combined in this way. Now I'll finish ch5 over a lunchtime cup of coffee.
  7. Hi Ethan hope today finds things a little better. Don't forget to let us know how your mom AND you are doing will you? We appreciate you must feel worried about her and it's not always easy coping. Hopefully anticipating good news Mike
  8. ^ likes it easy anyway
  9. I'm still trying to figure out how I go half & half on a "prophet"? Do I get the top half or the bottom half? Ok, I'll behave too.
  10. Have a good day HPH and many more!
  11. A welcome to GA Nate, from the British side of the 'Pond'; enjoy your time here.
  12. Sure Ethan. There are a lot of people out there who will lend your mother prayers and support. Is it breaching your privacy too much to ask what's wrong? My good friend Lynne (Member ic50 to you) knows all about the trials and worries of medical issues right now, as she has been through a hell of a lot herself, and is still dealing with them. I'm sure others will join me in hoping all goes well and your mother makes a speedy recovery.
  13. I think like Richard Harris, it will NOT be quite so easy to find someone to convincingly replace Robbie Coltraine! He has a certain 'unique' size and resonance to his voice which made him suitable for the part in the first place. Oh yes, they would do it, but everytime I pick up an HP book, Hagrid is a character I feel I know.
  14. Having had a longer time to think, I reckon it would be pretty pointless killing off Dumbledore at this stage. I think that would be more likely in the final story - perhaps Dumbledore and Harry will destroy Voldemort between them, but with Dumbledore taking a mortal hit maybe? That would be a far more realistic and satisfactory end I'm sure. Hey predicting is fun isn't it? I must admit to forgetting John Hurt was Olivander. Dear me, the memory isn't what it was. Who am I? Yeah, on second thoughts Hagrid or the Peter Petigrew theory looks to be quite possible.
  15. Maybe it's me, but the link doesn't seem to work Myr? I just get an error message. ...........and I haven't got my teeth in.........
  16. Hey jnraptor hope you're around more often then since there's more and more people joining and more stories to read too! I take it you are a reader too?
  17. I hate Halloween. I hate the legalised mugging of Trick or Treaters. I wonder if I can un-hate it long enogh to write a story? Just as long as no one comes knocking at the door.....................
  18. um, Jerry? who's Jerry?
  19. A welcome to Gayauthors to meandudoit and also quin1935 Enjoy a read and a browse, and hope to see you posting!
  20. I don't think anyone likes characters dying, but of course the plot has to retain interest. Of course since Richard Harris is already dead, They have probably had to replace him in filming already, (maybe with John Hurt?) and I can't imagine who they would have to take over Hogwarts in his place. He was reputedly one of the most powerful wizards around anyway, wasn't he? So I think that's unlikely. I'd personally go for any of Percy/Peter/Hagrid if it has to be someone. It would be better if it were Filtch of course, but I'd go with Boy On A String and say Hagrid, since Robbie Coltraine was apparently making noises a while ago about not wanting to continue with the character I believe, so she could easily write him out I guess. It'll be interesting to see who's right!
  21. Surely that's not an impossible number for a lunchtime, considering it is the weekend?
  22. well I would have loved to have shared the laugh, but all I could get was page not available no matter what I did.
