  1. Wellcome to Gay Authors then jessehotty! As one of the authors myself, thank you for the kind comments, and we hope you'll have as much fun writing as we do. Well why not? If you think you want to have a try, then great. Most of us will remember writing our first story and wondering how it would be received, so have no fears about that! Hope you enjoy yourself here.
  2. I see you joined today, so welcome to GA! You can post stories in the Cafe, but it might be a good idea to check with Myr first if you are about to post quite a few. You might want to add them to the archive, so you'd definitely need to talk to Myr about that. Ok? Send him a PM. Mike.g
  3. :king: A very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year to everyone at Gay Authors. Well it's Christmas Eve at last. We haven't had any snow yet here in Hampshire, and I'm not sure whether Rainbow has seen any over in our neighbouring county of Dorset, but they have it "up North" in the colder parts of the country. That's English weather for you! For such a small country compared with some, we sure do get a lot of variations in the weather, - and people wonder why we're always on about it? I shall be sitting down later today, around 5:15pm our time and watching one of the very few seasonal broadcasts, - from King's College, Cambridge. Just as a reminder of why we're having this break. So best wishes to everyone; don't stuff yourselves too full or drink TOO much! I'll be around, even Christmas Day. Mike.g
  4. I think I'm having the same reaction as Ethan
  5. Hey Rainbow, join the club! You're not diabetic as well are you? Sounds as though you had cellulitis or something like that. I know the feeling because I suffer with it too, or at least similar symptoms. Both legs swell up to twice/three times their normal size. I've got a crater in my right calf muscle which looks like it belongs on the moon! (That's actually an ulcer.) At least I can sympathise and I have an idea of what you're going through with that. I was graced with an arthritic right hip as well, so that's me stitched up good and proper. I'll be joining you in a wheelchair soon!
  6. Well I always buy a copy, so I might as well reserve a copy and save myself 40%! That'll reduce it to about a tenner. Not bad.
  7. As quite a lot of TV programmes have already started doing about now, I was thinking back over the last year, and trying to work out whether things were better or worse then, and what I'd been doing. Being a 'relative' newbie to the site I took a look back 12 months in General Discussion to see what you lot were up to then.... it makes interesting reading! They caught Sadam.... now you hardly ever hear anything about him, although the struggle still goes on. Me? I've made some new friends, lost some old it seems. Things never stay the same for ever do they? We all move on in our lives. I'm hoping that things will be better here at GA quite frankly. I'm busy now, trying to get new chapters finished and up on my site. (If Lenny has the time that is, lol) I've been slacking too long - time to get back to the drawing board! The hip is a lot worse and walking is now difficult and painful, so I'm glad I invested in broadband! So how has your year gone? Any major changes or traumas?
  8. LOL, BW. We'll try our very, very best
  9. Hell's Bells! Every time I look there's another half dozen or more people joined! Welcome everone - I hope you find what you've been searching for, here on GA, so come on in, join us and make yourselves at home!
  10. As a fellow author, welcome back Taima Matsumushi. I had not joined G A when you were last here, so have not had the pleasure. I trust we will be hearing much more of you! I used to have my stories hosted on Nifty, now they are all here. I have not read any of your own yet, but no doubt I shall read a lot more now that I am with GA Mike.g
  11. From time to time we all have doubts I guess, and this one comes to mind. It's by Greg Lake of ELP from the album WORKS Volume 1 C
  12. Thanks for the support Mike. It IS a pity that more people didn't vote
  13. Mmm... trifle and cream..... Isn't that icing a bit runny? You're never going to eat all that.....?
  14. Glad to hear that Mike - for Rainbow's sake of course!!
  15. Nice to see you two are on the ball at least Myr!! Ah well, let's see who else crawls out of the woodwork!
  16. Hey Happy Birthday Paladin 732; just checked the callender before leaving and noticed it was yours today! Have a good one and many more! :king:
  17. Hey all you writing wizzards out there - where are you? I thought we'd get a flood of seasonal stories by now, from all you budding or seasoned storytellers? Don't tell me you've all gone back in the closet? Three days to go guys and galls. Don't let Myr down, please.
  18. Lynne is recovering slowly from what she tells me. I think probably her pains are far worse than she lets on. But I'd just like to take a moment to say thanks to all those people who bothered to post or even just read this thread. It makes a big difference to someone to know that there are a lot of people out there that wish you well when things are not so good. I've noticed this time and again in other posts as well. Thanks all of you. Mike (Crackerwriter)
  19. Actually Rainbow, having thought about it, it wasn't a rugby song but rather a poetically rhyming monologue for the rugby club! I remember hearing it in the Navy years back, but I haven't a clue now how it goes. Never mind, the story is far more erotic! T'other Mike.
  20. Another load of members who've joined us - can't leave it all to Moviguy to do all the welcoming! Welcome to GA all of you. Hopefully you'll find here what you're looking for and come back time and again! Stay and enjoy!
  21. As you're now back with us visually Rainbow, being a fellow Brit, do you remember an old 'rugby' song that started, 'It was Christmas Day in the workhouse....'? It inspired me, (or rather that first line did), to use it to write a short piece for the seasonal anthology. You'll be able to read it now when Myr 'releases' them from the hidden writers forum!
  22. Come on Pyro, we're all waiting to hear from you again. Hope you're feeling much better by now and able to enjoy the festive season coming up! Here's an early Happy Christmas for you!
  23. Another 3 votes! Wow! That's 25% up already. See? You can do it if you try! Keep them coming, PLEASE? Thanks. (on behalf of the other authors)
  24. ROFLMFAO! Nice one!
  25. Er, I hate to ask, but where ARE the Christmas skins?
