  1. In which the firmly planted seeds of Jamie’s fledgling artist career receive extra fertilizer and in which an evening business talk evolves in an intimate conversation, during which fears and demons re-appear. But whose fears and demons are they? They arrived in Kilmacolm at the end of the afternoon after a relaxed voyage with a long break at noon and entered the village to search for the catholic church. Nobody paid any attention to them, they were considered normal passers-by. No,
  2. In which they start a new job under unfavorable conditions, Kyle makes an implicit harsh accusation, that he regrets but that causes Collin to think over his own wartime years and makes him live through ancient Gaelic customs again as an unexpected result. Oh, and…in which you will meet a new, very colorful character! Their arrival in the new town was like a cold shower and not only because of the typical Scottish rainy spring weather. After they got used to the fact that they
  3. Just wait and see!!!!! ...or better...wait and read. Next chapter will be online pretty soon, maybe even tomorrow morning early (at least according to our time here) Love Georgie
  4. Things are not as simple as they seem. Just wait and see....it'll come out! Love Georgie
  5. In which everybody seems to be grabbed by spring fever, but Kyle and Jamie by far the most, Kyle has depressing moments but in which they also depart Inverness almost in unknown glory. Spring showed its first signs of coming. It hadn’t really exploded yet into abundance but the first small indications could be noticed. The air was crisp and clear, the sun was a little stronger than it used to be and the first early bushes had started to bud carefully. Collin became restless. A

    Chapter 1

Hi, thank you for your very nice comment. Only...my other stories tend to be a "bit" longer, I'm afraid, but in return you get real living characters, totally developed. I wish you, that your meeting with your good fairy will be very, very soon. But one warning: the prince on the white horse nowadays mostly arrives by subway or by bike😄 Love Georgie D'Hainaut

    Chapter 1

Yes, I got your point. But there was a specific reason for nothing that in this story, because the whole fairytale is based upon a real story of someone's live and I didn't want to go too far away from that. But maybe a follow up...yes..."The Beggar that became a King". Let me think it over🙂

    Chapter 1

Oh, I always try to anticipate on the wishes of my readers😄

    Chapter 1

Yeah, they're cute funny things, these fairies. Thanks for the compliment Love Georgie
  10. Once upon a time, in the very dark years and long before mankind had to worry about climate change and gas shortages, there lived an unhappy king, who ruled over a small realm in the mountains of the Hindu Kush. Yes, he was unhappy because he only possessed a small kingdom, more a pinprick in the large world, and had no real power. But what made him even more sad was, that he was a king without a queen, simply because he was an unsuitable marriage candidate, exactly due to his small posses
  11. An”old” fairytale, but one with a true and modern background in many a real life
  12. Thank you very much. I do my best to make it interesting. But I freely admit I'm working hard on a new story, the waters of which are even darker and more confusing. Love Georgie D'Hainaut
  13. I don't know....let us say he's a very strong headed and stubborn young boy. Just wait, read and see🙂
  14. That is a very nice way of summarizing it. But things turn out just fine....although it certainly doesn't look that way.
  15. Thank you!🙂 Just wait how things develop. But I've got other plans for Kyle in storage. Love Georgie
  16. In which Jamie discovers the first contours of his future and Kyle re-finds a Walhalla of hooves and mane, but in the process ends up with a huge emotional problem and is subjected to the attentions of a desirable young lady as well. Although their work was finished, they stayed in Inverness for a longer period than they had planned. First of all, Jamie had to recover from his wounds. That on itself was a pretty good reason, but there was a second reason as well, maybe an even bette
  17. Now that's a nice thought....should have popped up in my own fantasy🙂
  18. You got a good point there. Here in Europe: if I cheat on taxes it is 3 years of jail, if a politician does it it is 6 months on probation. In the USA it is even simpler: if you're white it is a light punishment, if you're black you have quiet a lot of time to spend.
  19. In which Jamie has an extremely unpleasant encounter with “real boys”, Collin and Kyle fight a desperate struggle for life and in which an opinionated judge rules a very strange verdict. Autumn had come all of a sudden and had rapidly replaced the summer, flogging the land with ocean storms. Strong gusts of wind sent cutting rain over the hills, which looked a deep grey under the low clouds. They travelled over the same road they had rolled over in spring, back to the interior
  20. LOL...not that much, just a local funny thing. The adventures continue on the way back. I mean....Skye is beautiful (I know, I've been there) but a boring hell hole as well. 😀
  21. In which our trio moves further westbound through empty and lonesome hills and in which the love between Jamie and Kyle reaches levels of eagerness and passion never reached before. The voyage was long, tiring and boring. Even the countryside through which they travelled offered no variation. The only thing they saw, were the endless green hills, that extended on both sides of the road as far as the eye could see. So every now and then they saw a ruin of some castle, visible p
  22. Nice word game but oh so true!!!!!
  23. Oh well, the vicar personifies only the whole general attitude of all the Christian churches in the early 20th century, but also in all those ages before. Like the cop personifies the unholy unison between clerical and secular arms in a retrograde society, that is based on suppression. So, in a way the whole story, although centered on the main characters, is actually a critique on society as a whole and as you say: in large parts of the world this kind of suppression still exists.
  24. In which the couple and Kyle (so by now a menage à trois) moves to the west and in which Jamie has a wonderful daydream but also has his negative maiden experiences with a vicious form of discrimination. There was no police constable the next morning to throw Jamie in jail. It seemed, that the laird had forgotten the whole incident for very convenient reasons. So they packed up, put Rover before the wagon and off they went. But their goal for the time being, Glasgow, brought not
