  1. Thank you for your kind and true comment. If you don't mind I react to your review in a "closed" message, since I noticed something in the review that puzzled me. Well, as far as "taken in broken children and turn them into broken adults"...I don't fully agree....although it seems that way on the outside. These children were not broken by Juvenile Care, but by their parents or other adults. Juvenile Care has to follow the law, as in this case. If a juvenile judge decides something, Juvenile Care can only follow the ruling. But in one point you are right: a lot of these broken kids turn into broken adults. Or...what I have seen happening as well...they don't even reach adult age, taking their own consequences and acting accordingly to "solve the problem", at least in their own broken way of feeling and thinking Love Georgie D'Hainaut
  2. Intertwined in each other’s arms they were catching their breath after long, intense and exhaustive lovemaking. Shane, with his somewhat over 60, had gone to the limits of his endurance but was pleased to see that Sven, with his 30 years younger, was drained as well. It had been their first date but for both of them it was clear that the magic “chemistry” was there and that many more would follow. From the moment that Shane had opened his front door and the younger man had walked in with a
  3. Despite promises to the contrary a teenage boy finds himself in yet another Juvenile Care home. He feels abandoned by his own parents, as if he was refuse, placed besides the garbage can at collection day. Feeling hurt and rejected, he withdraws and experiences a paralyzing all-encompassing loneliness. Until he receives attention, warmth and affection from another boy. Where would that lead to?
  4. Even maltreated or abused kids can do funny things once they are adult, like going back home when mom is sick. I don't know how to call it...maybe 'misplaced loyalty' to who ever.
  5. "He was intelligent and nothing as small as deeply rooted trauma was going to throw him off" Yeah, tell me about it!!! But...you know, I was a bit afraid, that the atmosphere of the story would change with the change-over to adult age. But to my relief it didn't!!! It stays the same delicately crafted story with the same clear love for the main characters. And I loved seeing River pop up again🙂 I fully agree with what Cincykris wrote: there was no confrontation, just a leaving, although it is not specifically mentioned. Doesn't matter that much, it just rings some bells in my own memory. And I wholeheartedly agree with drsawzall about this sentence: ".[F: I wish you were still here. I wish you had never left. I wish we didn't ruin it.] Nobody had to draw my attention to the "we". Both ruined it...well, "ruining" is harsh a word. But both were pressurized by their own problems and circumstances and then something like a love affair can easily get victimized. I hope that the next chapters will prove, that both of them get a second chance together. As far as Alec's mother is concerned: I think it is best she dies before he gets there. Yes....it would rob them of making things up if there is something to make up in the first place, but for sure she can't inflict any more "terminal" pain to her son. Hey, I can hardly wait until next Saturday when chapter 12 comes on line.
  6. Hi, I was touched to see how you grasped the meaning of it all in one comment. Thank you very much Love Georgie D'Hainaut
  7. Yeap...sorry...only one more chapter, although...I'm not sure yet but I'm toying with the idea to add a fifth one. But I really love your comment. Anyway...there's more coming up on other items in the world of LGTBQI+. It happens to me my main terrain...not surprising, being gay and non-binary myself. Funny coincidence you are of Germanic background. I'm Dutch but I live in the rural, hilly and forested Sauerland. Love Georgie D'Hainaut
  8. Thank you for for your very nice comment. I sure hope I can continue the old tradition of storytelling, because I fell in love with it myself at the local library as well as a teenager, once when I was very young🙂. But, as you know, I never beat around the bush as far as sensitive items are concerned. But when they are included in the art of storytelling, they suddenly become less sensitive. Anyway...there are some shorter stories in the pipeline and there's another long on in the making, but that will take some time. Love Georgie D'Hainaut
  9. My pleasure....I promised you that Grandpa had some surprises coming, unfortunately posthumously but surprises nevertheless🙂 Thks for the Dylan lyrics...unfortunately I know them by heart.
  10. Thank you....I'm afraid it'll take some time, but I'm working on something that might even be more thought provoking and intriguing.
  11. I really can't help it...I didn't write the song. If I did I would have been a Nobel Price-winner by now😀 But more to the point: I believe times are changing. And within the changing times mankind evolves or, sandly enough, degenerates. At least certain examples of the species homo sapiens seem te be unable to learn from mistakes in the past.
  12. Oslo, July 2016 The orange former Army four-wheel drive truck with the attached trailer entered the city of Oslo. In it were an adult man, in the first half of his forties, two young boys and a huge black-white- and grey husky, that looked curious out of the window. To the defense of the dog, it must be said he wasn’t the only curious one: the two boys looked equally inquisitive and fascinated by what they saw in the first big city of their lives. Although Oslo is certainly not
  13. Hey man...let's face it: you deserved that comment so be happy with it🙂
  14. Puppy love? Maybe yes, maybe no....as far as I can see it is a "no" with both lovers, but Alec was certainly not prepared or equipped for it. And that became all too clear at the first brush with the delicacies of alcohol. But my God...I really loved this chapter. I loved this story from the first chapter on, but this one is so full of emotions and drama, all superbly described in almost poetic language... Demiurge...I'm really curious how Alec fairs during adult life. I'll be waiting for it!!!
  15. You could be right in that, but in my opinion that makes them both still bad parents as a couple. And I can't imagine that Alec is suffering less, no matter from where the problems flow.
  16. There are no perfect human beings and since parents are human beings there are no perfect parents as a consequence. But there are parents who are more imperfect than others and in my opinion Alec's parents are on the extreme imperfect side of the spectrum.
  17. I find the question of "mental abuse" questionable. There is a certain suppressive element in their behavior, that limits a kid in his personal development. Especially the use of the parson or priest is a distinct form of mental suppression, maybe even of mental terrorizing. Now, maybe law doesn't recognize it as such, but I can assure you: youth and adult psychiatry recognizes it as a firm reason for later mental disorders. In other words: Alec's parents may see it as that they did everything right but the kid will have the problems for a long, long time to come!!!!! I didn't imply Alec's parents are monsters, but I'm very certain their methods are a guarantee for mental disorders. I've seen enough of this poor kids to be sure of this. Actually....although from different reasons, I was one of them myself.
  18. Well, I tried to keep my solution within US laws...but I admit: burn at the stake is a good remedy as well...but then in public at the town square😂
  19. Yeah...this was "Ouuchhhh"!!!!! It broke my heart and scorched my eyes. This one sentence: "Unfortunately for them, you couldn't punish or pray the gay away"....it is SOOOOO legit!!! So beautiful. As far as Alec's parents are concerned: somewhere among the readers there must be a lawyer or a judge who can organize or issue a court order for their immediate admittance to the closed ward of a psychiatric clinic...because these are not parents, but demonic tormentors. It might give Alec the much-needed freedom and space to breathe. But between the lines it becomes clear: the kid is tough...he's struggling back and my guts feeling tells me he's going to make it...although it is still a very long way to go. Can't wait for the next chapter.
  20. You won't have to wait for long....one last editing round on tbe next (and last) chapter and it can go online. Will Monday or Tuesday do?🙂 But thank you very much for your nice comment.

    Chapter 1

Ay, so every now and then you meet one....well, depending on the state you're in of course😀 A very funny and most entertaining story. Thanks for sharing it
  22. Wow, you got me humbled now with such praise. But nice to know that you needed a sweater (and preferably a parka as well) during the description of the second race. Well, the old man has a knack of using the old Sami culture in supporting the boys. And he sure causes a big surprise in the next (and last) chapter.
  23. Ah, OK, got it...what we (at least for me "former we") in the Catholic church call simple hypocrites😬
  24. Hi there, With the next chapter being the last one something is bound to happen. I could tell you what...but I won't😀 If things go smooth I guess part 4 is on line in the first half of next week. Thanks for your kind comment Love Georgie D'Hainaut
