    Chapter 20

Justin, you are slowly (ever so slowly) working through all the diversions and delays you can come up with, but eventually you're gonna' have to give us the meeting scene we're all waiting for. I'm definitely looking forward to it... (If I manage to live that long!) Keep up the great work!
  2. Don't demand more from yourself than you can provide. Grief must be processed at its own pace. You can't force your mind to "just do it." That is and sounds like a horrible cliche, but that doesn't make it any less true. Give yourself the time you need.

    Chapter 1

Haven't figured out how to quote an exchange like yours and mine above. (Should look that up.) I just wanted to say that none of the pet dogs or cats (or squirrels) I've ever had were purchased. They always came from friends or freebee ads in the local paper, or fell out a tree in our yard. The only animal I've ever purchased was a horse. (But I do have a certain lust for a Maine Coon. Actually, I'd love to have had a pet cougar in my lifetime, but that is just an oddball fantasy of mine.)

    Chapter 1

Fun story -- great for a short break from a frustrating day. One thing - I wish to H... that I could find someone who was giving away Maine Coon kittens! They're amazing cats, but a full-blooded Maine Coon kitten costs hundreds (if not more) around here, and that's IF you can find one. Having said that, it's probably just as well I can't find one -- given my age and overall health, it wouldn't be fair to the cat...so I'll stick to my liquid martinis.

    Paranormal Deep Dive

I see a lot of favorite stories and authors on this list, and a few I'm not familiar with. Time to look around some more. Thanks for this post!
  6. The chapter is amazing; the personal update is...hard to contemplate. Bless the spirits of all creatures that have come and gone, as well as those that are, and those that are yet to be.

    Chapter 1

Justin, when you got into this rewrite, I went back and reread the first version and I've been making a point of keeping up with the narrative as new chapters are posted. It's impressive to see the growth of your craft and your attention to subtext and small details. Keep up the great work!

    Chapter 1

Well, I'm back for another visit to one of my favorite worlds. Admittedly, I've only read Higher Education once, but I must have read Running With the Pack a half dozen times, at least. Shifters, especially wolves, are my favorite fantasy characters. And this series is one of the best I've found. Thank you for imagining this world and presenting it so well.

    Chapter 15

Don't think I've posted this before, although this is my third time through this story, but thank you for the travelog in Germany. I was stationed near Heidelberg for two years, almost fifty years ago. I loved Germany, even if I did hate the army. Good memories. A wonderful country. (And I'm enjoying the hell out of the story, once again.) Want to reread 1 & 2 before I dive into 3.

    Chapter 1

Great start! (Kink came into my life about 25 years ago - a welcome guest that has become an old friend.) I'm definitely curious to see where you go with this one.

    Chapter 3

At this point my favorite character in the story is dead (and when he was alive, he wasn't human). I can sympathize with some of the other characters, and I want to find out who done it, but I want to know more about Kane. As to who done it...there's an inkling of an idea sneaking around in the back of my mind.
  12. Well...I got through the second paragraph and I've always enjoyed your work, so I think I'm along for the ride. (Putting a beloved animal down beats the crap out of me. I've only had to do it twice, but I know I never want to have to do it again.)

    Chapter 12

Justin -- a thought for your cogitation. Right now, you've got a buffer, so if you get blocked or overloaded in other areas of your life, you won't freak out, worrying that you've got nothing to share with your avid (rabid) readers. I think that, for me, not having that buffer could cause me real problems, if I felt I had to turn out product, even if the work wasn't going so well at some point. I know I've pushed you for the next chapter myself, but I want you to do what's best for your story, and for your personal comfort level. Once chapter a week will keep your audience engaged. Beyond that, consider what will work best for you.

    Chapter 4

Ah, you're much closer to my age than I thought. That's good to know. Lovin' this one too, but Lone Wolf Ranch is the one I want to see new chapters on. (Please forgive the ending preposition!)
  15. I'm not sure that the being under the desert is the monster that is expected. I may well be wrong though. I'm curious to see.
