    Chapter 1

Fantastic story, and I love the way it progressed (especially the repetitious 'inner monologue' about wanting new underwear), but... I wanna know what happens next to Patrick!!!!!!!!!!! Is there going to be a sequel????? *big brown puppy dog eyes*

What a beautiful story!! I knew I was reading it quickly, given the pace and nature of it, but I hadn't realised how tense I was until I got to the happy ending and breathed a sigh of relief at 'us' and sat back down properly in my chair! Well done, Nephylim; another well-written, gripping tale.

What an absolutely beautiful, enchanting story. This is certainly one of your best so far!! I loved everything about it; well, except for one eensy-weensy thing, and that was a few typos, but I can ignore those (most of the time... ) The characterisation, the plot, the speed at which it progressed, the way you focused mainly on the interactions with the characters and didn't bore one with endless descriptions of what the 'otherworld' looked like. I positively enjoyed it, and hope that others discover it and enjoy it as well!! Well done!
  4. Well, seems I was indeed right: life was getting in the way of updating your blog to let us know what was happening in your life Great that you've been able to catch up with some friends, and that Annemarie did so well. Was especially sweet to hear the candy-sharing story. You might want to try re-reading that in a few weeks when they're trying to kill each other again. Not so great to hear about the house foreclosure. Note that you glossed over that quite efficiently, so won't dwell on it myself... but do hope everything works out for you. I'd offer you my couch, but I think it might be a bit far away Thinking of you, and hope all does indeed turn out the best for you!! David
  5. Heheheh... my first thought when I read your "whole person" comment was that episode of Absolutely Fabulous: Edina: "Inside me is a thin person screaming to get out" Mother: "Just the one, dear?" Not exactly you at all, but still made me think of it. *looks down at own stomach* Actually, your idea of skinny, healthy thoughts isn't so bad David

    The road to hell...

Heya, If it's any consolation (ok, so that's trite crap, but moving right along), there's lots of other good people in hell, too... so at least you're amongst good company. I can save you a good seat if you'd like? In the meantime...

    Another satisfied lady...

Thanks for the update on Donavon, Viv. Sounds like the poor little mite has a bit of a fight ahead of him. I totally agree with you re: the ADHD "assessment"; that is total crap. The kid's focused on walking, for cripe's sake!! Not ADHD. "Experts" seem waaaaay to keen to hand out Ritalin for just about anything these days Ooooh, I sooooo totally agree... especially when you get to the end of the packet, and there's a whole bunch left over and you can lick your finger and fish it out to have with the last few pretzles. Erm, did I just say that out loud? Hope everything else is going OK for you, too. Am still sending out good thoughts for your corporate job, too... or any others you apply for. Employment market is so icky at the moment; in my office they've decided to not extend any contract people after their contracts run out... we're talking about 1/4 to 1/3 of the office of 200-odd people. I'm just glad I got a "permanency" at the end of last year. Looking forward to the next update of your blog so I can vicariously enjoy life in California
  8. Hope everything is improving with Rich's brother... I, too, would be driven just as mad by the behaviour. If I was closer, then all we'd need to do is work out where to hide the body. *mwhahahahaha* But on an update which hasn't had an update: how is Donavon doing? While not the praying type myself, I enlisted friends of the "prayer circle" at work, and they keep asking me for updates ('coz, see, it wouldn't be right for them to log on to a gay site and see any updates you might post ) Fingers and toes crossed for you for the corporate job!!! David

    I REALLY need a pen...

Ooooh, named and shamed as a lurker! Guess I'd best make sure I don't do that again. Well, not often; old habits are hard to break! I really enjoyed our chat as well (and would have told you sooner had I not experienced more [expletive deleted] computer problems ) Soooo, I seem to be back up and running again... but if you can't see this, let me know Hope Rich's interview went well!!!! David
  10. I'm possibly one of the few men who would agree with you re: underwear, so perhaps this will give you a glimmer of hope. Unlike what seems to be the majority of guys, I've always had the "bubble butt" look... but it's more genetic, and not all muscle from having had to do 4,537 squats per week to build up the muscle. Consequently, there's a bit of "give" back there (no "buns so tight he was bouncing off the walls", thanks Pats) but still a (IMNSHO) great looking butt (and considering how often it gets groped in a bar, I figure others don't seem to disagree either ). SO.... I find that regular briefs have this annoying habit of cutting into said extra flesh and giving me not only VPL, but this weird extra "crease". Tres not glam. Other "sexy" underwear has a similar problem: if I buy is "supposed" waist size, it's too constrictive. Next size up seems to be way too baggy/uncomfortable. To be honest, boxer briefs were my salvation. Sufficent support front and back, without the chance of "double butt" syndrome, LOL. So take heart that there's at least ONE guy out there who suffers underwear problems with you
