Inside the panic room, one of the robbers saw the blank video screens, “Those work?”
“Of course.”
“Turn ‘em on.”
Eight screens lit up. Three were inside, each pointing at an exterior door. Four more looked out from each corner of the roof of the house. The last one was a view of the basement outside the panic room’s door. Jerry surreptitiously enabled the view screen in the basement that showed the interior of the panic room. Prompt #265
Write a story that begins with a phone call at three in the morning.

Julius has a hard time waking Trevor, but finally succeeds. Trevor finally answers the phone on the ninth ring. The phone call starts something they never could have expected.
You made your deadline. It’s still Saturday night until you wake up on Sunday.
Great “end” to the story. You know we’ll all be waiting for part 2. But take your time. I know I still have Gabriel to attack.
