I am so sorry that I never saw this response. I wasn't alerted about it. Sometimes my notifications get funny . I am so sorry oh my gosh I'm so embarrassed that it's like almost a year later lOL especially because it was so thorough and well thought out and I really truly appreciate every single comment I get because I know that it means people are taking time out of their busy day to actually write it. And I really enjoy the ones that give feedback good bad indifferent. And again yours was so thorough. I'm glad that you enjoyed the story. I always aim for humor and vivid imagery when I'm writing comedy because I think if you can't see it in your head it's just not as funny. It's not just a words but what's going on in the scene so to speak. I too have been the aunt that the babies are dropped off on. And the friend. A friend of mine at one point had five Littles all under the age of six because two were twins and my goodness. Going over to her house it was just a matter of her opening the door and shoving either a baby into my arms or saying grab one lOL he was never boring that was for sure. Her husband wanted boys and they had had three girls and he kept insisting and trying again and she said no Factory is closed. He ignored her prayed for his boys and instead got the twin girls. I was also a kindergarten teacher and then a Pre-K teacher for a little bit after that , so I have all sorts of stories lol when I write things that come out of the kids' mouths in my stories it's usually based on reality lOL . Again I'm so sorry I didn't get your response but I am so glad that you enjoyed the story and I hope you check out other things so the only one that I have finished completely is Halos and heroes and the follow-up piece just found heaven. And Halos can't be tough for some people. It's a family drama so it has a lot of funny moments and you get to know the characters and those people seem to fall in love with them, but they also have some really hard moments because of the themes of former military and so there are some very difficult scenes but I always put disclaimer is on them, and I try not to be gratuitous with violence or mentions of it but it's that kind of story so sometimes it comes up. But if you ever are interested in checking it out please do. I would love to hear your thoughts . The follow-up is just found heaven which is over in it for you, their wedding day and it's told from the perspective of both the main characters as well as the other supporting characters in the story who will also have stories in that series. I started posting a few others but haven't gotten around to finishing them yet . I had Ms so I kind of work with my body cooperates. I am hoping , to have studs, spurs, and stuff a notice finished by the end of the year . As well as no such places Never Land but that one if you liked funny stories I would not recommend because most of my readers are not following that one. It's pretty dark. Thanks again.

LOL it's okay Zack. I am a romantic as well at heart, but I also like to explore the complications of the heart and all the psychology behind it. Love is a very strange thing. You can be the smartest person in the room and the biggest dummy when it comes to love. He will get better lol you just have to stick with it. There will be a turning point. It begins in chapter 10 which is the most recent one. You have to get through all the smutty stuff because unlike Sam and Ben, he and Roman start with the sex and then work backwards towards the romance. But he's going to come around eventually and what he does and it's going to be a whole different story. He's just got issues.

Correct it's really one cause for anything in life especially when we make mistakes or show poor judgment. Usually it's things that lead up to it. Doesn't justify the actions but at least there is a reason so that we don't think wow that came out of nowhere. Nothing comes out of nowhere . There's always a reason. It doesn't mean that it's a justifiable reason or a good one , but it helps give contacts I guess. And the people who stumble the most I feel come out stronger on the other side when they take responsibility and can look at that for what it was. Like when Roman tells Max that the worst thing you can do is waste a good mistake. We shall see with the colonel LOL you may not happen in this one but I do have something planned but I don't know where it's going to work out . But Max's healing abilities let's say will have positive consequences at some point to sort of close out a current.... I don't want to ruin it but yeah there will be a coming together of all these things. You know that I always try to pull it together in the end it's just staying till the end to figure out where I was going with it LOL and sometimes you have to look back. And you're correct. I guess I don't see it as Carefree just because I know the thinking of the character and where it's going but you're correct to the outside Observer he definitely seems to be carefree. He's nearing 40 just like Sam is and he has no children he's the fun uncle, he works all the time so he really has no time for outside Endeavors except when he's hooking up with someone. Which of course Roman pointed out. So it does seem like he's just skating through life even though in reality a surgeon is always on call. Doctors are always in call especially when they're working at the hospital a pediatric surgeon he can be called in the middle of the night and have to go for an emergency surgery. So a lot of his carefreeness is what's that word that I'm looking for? Not a farce but like meaning surface like you're looking at it and you're getting a certain impression of him when in reality there's more to it than that. Like Roman pointed out to him that he probably doesn't have time for certain things in his life and Max thinks of yeah he could run with Tara in the mornings which he wants to do anyway he can enjoy movie Nights of Sophia and Adeline because he has that connection with them he sees them as family . Or just reading a book taking a breath. Because he doesn't it's either work or the brief moments of play which a one-night stand it's just probably an hour or two and then that's it so that's the only free time he really has or is allowing himself . But it's going to switch to more of a Family Focus now with Sofia and the girls and something that happens with Addie and that will continue kind of through the next few chapters. It's not a problem that's going to be solved in the next chapter. It'll be brought up and he's not going to be thrilled and then it'll eventually work itself out. All I will say, is he has to show up at her school and he's waiting in the parking lot wearing a virginity rocks t-shirt LOL... Let that one percolate for a while 😁😂😉

If I were to do simple you would be disappointed LOL. It's not too melodramatic is it? I felt it was a fair plot twist that's semi plausible. It's not too outside the Realms of possibility because Max had to have some reason for becoming a doctor especially growing up in such a military family. Other than of course wanting to irritate his father . He likes to help people but what's the drive? You know I have to twist a psychology in there LOL but call me out if it's two melodramatic. Like seriously I want readers to be able to do that. I don't want to ever jump the shark

Definitely more serious chapter. It's interesting how we perceive things. I actually thought the inner dialogue in this one was minimal compared to the previous chapter. One was all maxes in her dialogue this one was actual dialogue between the two characters

. Definitely agree. Though this is going to be a little bit of a softer side and yet feral side of Max LOL he's very protective of Adeline and let's just say it's senior year , modern times well more modern not necessary 2025 matter but relatively modern and good girls can get bad reputations because of bad boys. Tossing the fact that said girl has an uncle who knows where the bodies are buried because he buried them LOL another one who is a doctor and knows how to take apart a body, and a third who might soon become a step daddy who is in private security and you have quite the recipe for something. It's going to be a bit of her schooling Max but a lot of Max stepping up and protecting her. Sophia will actually feature more this one with schooling knocks on the naughty stuff since she was with Connor from age 16 well earlier but got knocked up at 16. And AJ also lives very much a bachelor lifestyle no kids Etc and that's why in Halos and heroes they poked fun at him behind this back about you know his expensive splooge art. But Sophia and the girls have mellowed him so it's going to be a lot of changes for all of them involved. Eventually you'll see more of the Misfits too . I don't know if Fiona is going to make her entrance /debut in this one, but she might. Carter was already introduced but he'll be back briefly and so will Sergeant wheeling and some of the others that we've met already. Just cameos that will eventually lead back to their own stories in the future.

I've done my share of reading at the vet's office. I understand. Yessss I didn't think that people would see that coming, but I figured why not. It's a twist is realistic and Max is a doctor. So there's a lot of reasons why he wanted to become a doctor. And he is a pediatric surgeon for a reason. Not just because he's a big kid himself LOL and I agree with you. The general is a very cold man. You don't get up that far in the ranks without having to lose parts of yourself and he's good to his wife because she's his wife so he has that whole honor and respect thing towards her but I agree with you. He is very heart attacks now and he always was. Some of that will come up. Especially later when Max has to ask him for a favor. That will be a whole nother side of Dr. Maximilian Melone! He loves his mother and respects her so yes he won't make her choose. In his head it's essentially a matter of deciding what's wrong and what's right. Max has a very strong sense of right and wrong. It doesn't always seem that way because of his hedonistic attributes, but when it comes to clear this is right this is wrong , he has that deeply ingrained. He knows that there are shades of gray, but he doesn't always agree that they're Fair. Like when he has to say the life of a gang banger who just shot up a neighborhood and cost the lives of Littles who are caught on the crossfire. He saves them because it's the right thing to do and he's required by oath and by law to do so. But at the same time he knows that it's wrong and it bothers him. I agree. I think that Roman is going to get there sooner than later. It's actually moving along faster than I thought. Originally it was very different but because of just found heaven this story is just kind of starting almost at a midpoint. We already know how Roman feels. And now it'll become more of a relationship slowly. But with the help and Through The Eyes of other people the way that Sam and Ben did like when he talked to Tara about Ben and AJ etc. This follows similar rules of Engagement . Next chapter will be him talking to Adeline and finding out something that will show a very different side of max. Again, that sense of right and wrong and those protective instincts that he shares with Roman.

Yes they are unique that way LOL it's going to be a constant back and forth with them. At least until they settle into their flow . Which will happen eventually. But they're not going to be normal about anything, including their happy ever after lol. It's very much not Ben and Sam! LOL Yep chapter 10 is up so you will be able to read that one. That one is a lot more dialogue. Not so much internal as far as Max is concerned. It's pretty even dialogue and gives more perspective from both sides. After that it's just going to be fun times with the family and other stuff for a while. Clothes on!

The day that I start writing dull and shallow characters, is the day that you take away my computer, Cane! Believe me lOL, it's always a quiet concern of mine because I do tend to write a certain kind of story. The supernatural psychological Thriller that I'm working on as that short story is really outside my wheelhouse. I tend to go for the comedic romances, or the family dramas, but I have to be careful because it can get repetitive so I work at it and I'm glad that so far I haven't had a wall. If I do, I would hope that any of my readers including you would pull my coat and just point that out to me so that I can adjust. I agree, that's one of my favorite parts. There's a certain intimacy there. When Roman calls him papi, It is a term of endearment that he doesn't use with anyone else. Max calls him all sorts of silly things of course, but when he calls him baby, that will be a shift. He has mentioned in past stories that he used it for Sam but made it seem that he used it for everyone so that Sam wouldn't realize that that one particular word for whatever reason just meant more than all the other silly things that he comes up with that in a way keep people away and in boxes of temporary in his mind. Annnnd... Because I had to split chapter 9 into two pieces, I already had most of chapter 10 written so here we go LOL. Essentially two chapters in 2 days. It's going to be a while to get the next one out because it's going to include a lot of non Roman and Max stuff. It'sPrimarily focused around his relationship with Sophia and Adeline, some talk of AJ and of course interactions with Emma. This is more of a family-friendly chapter. So will the next one and then it's going to shift into a reckoning with romans past and of course more roman and Max. But clothes will remain on for a while lol Enjoy!

You nailed that is usual. There is a shift in power dynamics, yet Roman and Max are on equal footing sooner in a sense than Sam and Ben were. Max fights it because of stubbornness and guilt, but Sam had a lot more on his plate and felt that Ben was so many steps above him that they would never meet in the middle. There's on the surface is seemingly a slower more substantial romance, but as the story goes on readers will see that roman and Max have their own particular connection that's just as deep. Including the fact that they're both very blunt and unflinching about what they want once they're on the same page. Sam and Max could never quite meet in the middle as illustrated by the flashback in Max's head to that party. Max has a big heart. He just hides it better than most people do.

Thanks for commenting. Max and Roman are always going to be the epitome of intense LOL bless sweet Romance then then sam, but no more heartfelt. Just very different personalities. Max's going to be processing for a while, but it will get easier. It's difficult because sometimes it feels like I'm starting in the Middle with these two . Because of just found heaven and Roman's perspective into chapters you sort of get his side of it so you know why he's already where he is but for Max it's slower. But as a reader you're seeing the relationships start almost in the beginning instead of the Soul build up that you got with Sam and Ben . Even for me as an author it throws me off a little bit because I don't want it to seem too melodramatic and intense, but there is a valid reason for it. I'm glad you picked up on the part about their safe words. Sam and Ben obviously we're not as kinky. In their own way, they were incendiary, but Max and Roman... LOL whole different element. Max is used to when being in control. We saw that even earlier in the series. Especially and just found heaven. He's the one who's always taking care of Sam even though technically Sam is the more capable and dangerous man in many ways. But, I think this chapter illustrates a little bit better what Connor said to Max during Max's point of view in a flashback. That it was difficult for Max to love Sam because he was always trying to manage him. And the scene about the high school party I think really hammers at home . It all comes together eventually LOL it's just some things that are mentioned in previous books may not show up till later so it's tougher to see the tie in. The next chapter is going to give a lot more insight about Roman and his past and more about max. A little less introspection about him and moment if a couple and more about him as a person and we can see more of how his relationship with his father has influenced a lot of things. I am glad that you enjoyed the story. They will be there when you go revisit. They appear again and just found heaven. Now I can tell you that it's their wedding day . It is told from the point of view of other characters as well but you get to see inside Ben's head as well as Sam's . A lot of it is taken in flashback from this book but then there are a lot of new pieces as well as the perspectives of tara, Roman which leads up to book two and of course Ben and Max. Take care.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 well I actually had someone who is gay and married and told me that he doesn't like this sexy scenes that he skips past them. He sent me a message lOL and I was like okay well I try to let people know that there's going to be a sexy scene but I was like as far as hood and holy water goes it all is sexy until it's not. It starts off with a bang literally from just found Heaven's chapters in Romans point of view which then continues in hood and holy water. But it will get more emotionally charged and normalized LOL there will be story. You know me so it will get there. But I'm trying to edit this dang chapter , kane, and we are at 62 pages in word. That's why I took off the previous chapter portion and made it separate because it was so freaking long but I can't figure out how to shorten this so it's just going to be a really long chapter and God help me so that's why it's taking so long to edit because I'm going through it and I'm like oh this doesn't make sense this needs to be shortened. Or this needs to be taken out. Or this needs to be replaced or something else Etc but it will get up eventually but that's why LOL that is why my scenes takes so long and this has no sex in it at all. It's just max being Max and Roman kind of laying down the law and saying enough . Hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Thanks Cane. I appreciate you doing the word count lol. A lot of people don't realize how long my chapters actually are. And that's part of the reason why it takes me so long to write and edit them. Because they are really really long . So you start losing your place and have to go back and rewrite things and move things around and sometimes I'll take entire paragraphs that were on page 15 and move them to page two or move the entire you know first 15 pages all the way to the end and write a new beginning it all depends on the flow. But I'm glad that at least this will go down as a solid story. I know that not as many people seem to be into hood and holy water because it is a lot of sex but I think when it starts picking up where they're interacting with other characters like Max will be interacting with Adeline soon after this chapter with Roman and he'll be talking to Adrian Sophia and they'll be more going on. And of course when he and Sam and Ben eventually fix things there will just be a lot more of the friends and family building. And of course there will be a part one the general comes to town so there's that as well as Romans sister who he doesn't know about yet LOL . Lots of stuff. 🧡❤️♥️

Aww thanks. The characters will pop up in each other's stories. The book after this is just found heaven. And that takes place on the special day for salmon bun and it's still from the viewpoints of other characters including salmon bed but you also hear from max, tara, and roman. Hood and holy water is the one I'm working on now and that's Max's story. Very different from salmon bun. There's a lot more of a sexual element to it because they're kind of going backwards . Sam and Ben did the slower strangers to friends to lovers. Max and Roman are going from frenemies to lovers and eventually to a romantic relationship . And Tara will have a story also and eventually in the future God willing I plan to expand to stories for detective Whelan and Carter which will be one couple and then Cayden and his partner as well. So they will pop up in each other's stories.

Your grammer is fine. No worries. I understand. There are some difficult chapters in this story, but levity as well as Sam finds his way. After this novel, book 1.5 which is a long novella, is the followup to Halos and told on one particular day but from the POV of Ben, Max, Tara, and Roman, as well as Sam. It's sets up for book 2. Not all of my stories are this intense, but I'd stay away from No Such Thing as Neverland. It isn't finished but it's based on a prompt for how someone can become evil and it's pretty dark. Only a few of my usual readers have tried it. You would probably like the others once they wall done Thanks for following! Have a good day!
