@Cane23 Runaway Bride! 😆 🤣 😂 Max overall is very much a smartass lol and I think it comes across in his POV pretty well. Sam was more reserved most of the time. Tara and Max together....good lord..Roman needs to buckle up! Yep Max is a closeted good guy. He talks a lot of trash and yep he gets around and is nowhere near the choir boy Ben, or even Sam is, but he has a soft spot for women, children and all the underdogs. Hehe that's riiiiight. I forgot about that scene to be honest. In Max's defense, he eluded that Roman could call or stay, just in his Max way. Roman isn't going anywhere. Sam totally called it. And Max....will hate it...and love it at the same time. And of course the family will all be up in his business. Recurring characters plus some new ones. I had considered bringing Whelan in, but Max is living in Miami now so it wouldn't be an easy pick up and delivery to where Sam and Ben live. But, don't worry, Whelan will be making a reappearance along with new characters such as Dimitri, Roman's mother [towards the very end] and his little sister who he didn't even know about until she tracks him down halfway through. Her appearing in my head completely changed a future scene I planned and I think it will be stronger as we move away from the kinky shenanigans a little, slowing them down enough for a real relationship to build. Oh and Laurie, the surrogate makes an appearance as well as the misfits at the club, AND Max's parents AND Sloane since she will be introducing Tara to her future love interest, Fiona, in a storyline that will start in this story and then carry onto to Tara's. They're all interconnected novels in some way. LOTS going to go on! Pancakes 😆.... try pizza but no mushrooms because Tara says they look like cock and balls. Roman, buckle up buttercup.

@Cia Its been quite the beginning to a new year. Lots of ups and downs, but trying to keep swimming helps keeps us from being sucked up by the floods of life. I'm very touched that I am being features since im so new to GA, so thank you all for that. Being around so many skilled writers makes me feel like I found a tribe! I hope the story was read and enjoyed by a few new folks. I'd love to hear all thoughts and critiques, and am happy to answer in more detail to any of the questions asked, or any others that readers come up with. Thanks again all! Hehe I was waiting for you to chime in! Yep totally Max. Sooo much sex and snark. Most of the time I try not to do sex-centric chapters, but I also make all attempts to stay to the personality of the character, especially when doing first person POV, and this...is Max. A horny family man, though that will appear more later. To infinity and beyond!

[He's got issue] More sec happens [these 2!] And then an actual talk among which is the "friends with benefits " conversation. I had the first 7 chapters written previously and the entire story outlined but now that Halos and JFH were so different than the original idea I was working with for Hood and Holy Water, changes had to be made so it's adapting all that and then...writing from scratch. We will see Roman's domestic side, Max's protective streak when it comes to Addie-cat, chit chat with Sofia. Babysitting with Roman while Sofia visits AJ [Roman's surprisingly domestic], some tension with Sam M and Ben's surrogate, Mac and Sam finally airing things out properly. Max saving the day a few times. Tara and Sloane not working and Sloane introducing her to her future love interest, Fiona. Lots will be happening plus lots of other sweeter bits once they fall into a relationship. Showdown with his dad...getting Roman's mom back into the picture...Stay tuned!!! ❤️

LOL yep. That's why he's like "shhh"to the readers- he sorta liked being held. And Roman definitely struggles with apologies because he works so hard NOT TO make mistakes. Hello OCD. Love will definitely come eventually. Lots of X-rated hijinks first. You know I go oye with slutty scenes but this book....good Lord. Sam and Ben started the hotter part of their relationship in a slow burn. Max and Roman will be the slow burn of frenemies to friends, to lovers to in love. Lots of snark and sex before the more tender stuff though it's on Max and Roman terms. Oh Tara will make an appearance lol. I think it's the next chapter. And....her mouth... poor Roman. Remember... she's the scariest one of all. Hah Roman would die!!!! Max would be like ok that's gross. He deals with all sorts of things in the hospital. I'm shocked sir you didn't comment on the fact a new supporting charactwr was mentioned. He's part of a longer game, setting up for about 3 books from now when Cayden's story. Dimitri isn't the love interest, but he will be a friend and semi guide. Slowly building the world

Thanks friend. You're absolutely right. Sam was there for Ben every inch of the way even when Sam turned on him the first time by accident when Ben startled him. Ben's been very patient till this point, but he's also human. It will be explained in the last chapter I try to write very realistic characters, which sometimes means they do silly things and make mistakes. I'm so glad you were inspired to post your story here. It was exceedingly well written and though you've "ended" the story there are also so many avenues that you could take future stories. Strong supportive characters mean you have a lot to run with if you decided to expand the universe. Crossing fingers that you will!

Ahhh yes that perfect moment of apology that's annoyingly interrupted and just ramps up the irritation for Max of "was he going to say he was sorry? ASSHAT!" While Roman is, "FOR FUCKS SAKE can everyone just go away so we can talk?"-giggles- they'll get better... than fight then get better again. Both stubborn and hard-headed so it's gonna be a ride! Hehe you know me by now @Cane23. Have to have some of those realistic romantic moments that usually deserve a slap upside the head. 😆 Roman is being a dummy doodle bug. He doesn't want to be second choice. Fair because Max did start out with that mindset in Roman's chapters in JFH. But now he's humiliated and PISSED so the fur will fly... and then the clothes will come off! [Though Roman does deserve a kick in the nads for that one. Tara is Maxs roommate sooo you never know!] Hah...anyone expecting a Sam and Ben romance will be disappointed. These two will eventually have a deep connection, but despite it being incendiary 🔥 pretty much thied chapter out, the emotional component is a slower build. Max isn't Sam and Roman isn't Ben. They have different damages but where Ben had made peace with most of his by the tine Sam came along, Max and Roman...not so much. Both have too much pride and are too scrappy for their own good. Brn was a priest so he learned to use his powers for good. And as messsed up emotionally as Sam was, following and giving orders for so many years allowed him to follow a path if it was laid out for him. Between Romans OCD and Max's foibles, neither has their ducks in a row despite appearances. They've got manic squirrels running all over the place! 😆 They will figure it out. Poor Adam. He got caught in the middle of a medical drama!

@Jean87thank you! I always try to make my characters as "human" as possible so they have their own quirks. Even Ben isn't perfect though he's pretty close according to most readers lol The next 3 chapters are A LOT of hanky panky, but also a lot of conversation in between. Chapter 14 is pretty much all smut and a shorter chapter so it can be skipped if preferred. I try to work in dialogue because writing sex scenes make me tired 😫 Tha ka for taking the time to read and share your thoughts! ❤️
