Hehe yes...very wealthy family, lots of connections, old money type scandals. She didn't kill her parents. But they are dead! She definitely knows who is leading the Lost Boys now and does she care...mmm remains to be seen. As for her mom, in the back of your mind, keep the idea of the violence against the mothers for the future...and that she's created these killers. And who is friend and who is foe?.... Thanks @CincyKris! I had all of the chapters edited so the spelling and grammar are corrected and the actual writing is tighter so here's hoping it lends to better readability. The new chapter is intense. A lot of A HAH! moments... there will be even more in the upcoming chapters. I may keep them a little shorter simply because so much is happening so quickly and I don't want to overstimulate anyone. Bit it shall be completed by the end of the summer. Aww I appreciate that Cane. He is the director of the fbi, one of the most powerful men in the country. So she couldn't get to him immediately would have to be a buildup. He could have destroyed her especially because they were other players involved. He wasn't the only man who assaulted her, so there are a lot of high profile men involved who want to protect ft their secrets. He and her father were also very close so James has had the power to "fix" all sorts of things... (Emily) Alexis planned to take him down, but things fell apart before she could, so she's just been biding her time carefully. She knew that things would eventually repeat themselves, and she's been waiting on Griffin to become a crucial part of it. She is manipulative to the EXTREME and she will get what she wants. They went back and just pulled the pieces for me off of the site and edited at their pleasure LOL I guess some of my sentences and things just irritated them but I agree with most of the grammar if not the character edits. I just have to go through them and finalize it. I've been sick for a few months so I would feel better that something posted and then fall back to little bits and snotty pieces again. Chapter 12 is the coffeehouse date and 13 is where the spice starts. You're almost there. It's not a straight a to Z romance.. Most of my repeat readers know how I roll by now

LOL yeah it's a long one. It wasn't better red when I posted it at the time. Someone has since been so for me but I haven't gone through all of the edits yet so I haven't reposted it. It's definitely a heavier story then most of my others. It will pick up I think it's around chapter 12 or 13. I don't know I think 14 is definitely a smutty chapter. There's a couple that are just pierce my but there's a lot of character and detail work because this is the first novel in the series. The finding Home Series which is going to be a lot of interconnected stories involving the characters that appear in Halos and heroes. So there's just a lot of ground work laid out. Tara will have her own story. Max and Roman will have their own story. Even andrew Whelan listed detective will have his own story. So there's a lot of stuff going on in the future. Just keep plugging away at it. Step away when you need to and get to the end. I promise that most people think it's worth it!

I am curious about that as well. I also find that with albums if you delete a photo it doesn't give you that space back. So many times I have had to completely delete an album to then add pictures back or to change a photo . It'll say that there's 20 out of whatever photos but there's only five in the album because I deleted or changed or whatever. So that I would like to be figured out maybe and also maybe have more than the number of albums we currently are allowed simply because I use it as a way to track my characters in the stories but I find that I have to truncate at times.

Yesssssss! Oh that's good. I wasn't sure about having to go soon earlier but when you suggested it it just ended up writing itself in a way that made more sense. Simpler for me too because it was a lot less breaking my brain with police procedural . So I needed less of those details and just want the twistedness between the two of them lol. And yes she's so angry because he played her game but he leveled up. For the first part of the chapter she was winning and even when he got a little ahead of her , she always attacked harder and was pulling him deeper down into the deep end. Like you said the irony is that she's telling him to embrace who he is and the moment that he does she doesn't like it. He literally is talking to ghosts and exposing who he is and she is still angry . Because it didn't happen the way that she wanted. Because as you said, she wanted him to touch her. At this point she has nothing to lose and she understands that. Manipulating him into revealing everything that he is is the last game that you can play. Annnnnnnnd..... I love my readers lOL I love you all because you either pick up on things that I miss , or you give me even more ideas. Or you guys are just really been picking up those details before I have elaborated on them . So Bravo to you and all of you . This is why I feed back is so important to authors. Yes, she did slap him bare-handed so what is he going to feel especially when she's in this rage? Get prepared for a little bit more crazy right now everything is just kind of swirling around but Sean is watching . So is everyone else and the s*** just hit the fan . Can you imagine if you were watching this unfold? They're all people of logic and Science and psychology. I don't know if those are going to fly! I have enjoyed this past year despite some life hiccups to have made it so I will not be completing all of my stories this year unfortunately. C'est la vie. There's always next year. As both an author and a reader I am overall happy with the way that the site is. I do look forward to a full-on dark mode though because that will make it much easier. I use a large font because I am blind but I'm glad that others like @Cane23 get benefit out of it as well LOL. I'm sure that there is a way but I always find the website a little bit difficult to navigate and that's just because I'm Tech stupid , but when I save my to be read pile I wish there was a way to distinguish into categories. Because I can't always tell by the title what genre falls into but that's just me. I agree with @Cane23 that strong synopsis are important. So are reviews, no matter how shott. They help get new readers more traction feedback is also key. There are so many readers that are kind enough to leave a like but when you get no feedback verbally, sometimes you don't really know where to go if you're looking for it , in terms of moving the story along. Many times I already have my story pre-planned out, but sometimes readers will say something and it will just kick off a new idea that I didn't even know I had in there. So I would encourage readers to support your authors. Follow their stories, follow them if you are constantly going back to their stories anyway, and just show the support even through a wave. As authors we appreciate it because we know that you're taking the time to actually pausing your day and let us know your thoughts. Thanks and happy holidays y'all.

I try not to do tropes. They definitely are very hot-blooded alpha male types. And they will stay that way for a bit longer than I'd like. I really do appreciate that you notice I try to stay away from tropes and stereotypes! For this particular story they're kind of going to stay in the general vicinity of alpha a holes, and then of course they'll be a switch but it won't be noticeable at first. Price... I'm kind of setting him up to be an obvious problem.. So will he or won't he be one? O.o...lol Alexis definitely has aces up her sleeve. I think some people will be surprised by some of the things that she does and some people will not be surprised at all. There is going to be a twist as for the bureau. Possibly a double twist if I can work it out correctly in my head. I've never written psychological thrillers though I read them all the time. I'm always so wary of getting details wrong. I used to watch and read a lot of True Crime. When I see weak police procedurals on TV I notice a lot of the mistakes and I don't want to be that person. So I struggle a little bit with this but I think I figured out a way that there will be twists without me having to suspend belief too much. Alexis is the white whale. She is brilliant and they can't trip her up per se. Not deliberately. But Griffin is as much her achilles heel as she is his so that will show a little later. Definitely Alexis just wants something from him which you already made clear that she wanted him there. Why does she want him there. She's already torturing him. He lost his job. He lost all credibility. His name is going to be linked with hers possibly forever and infamy. Even though he may be able to prove that he had nothing to do with it, there's always going to be people that don't believe it. Conspiracy theorists abound in all aspects of life so what could she possibly want from him? He's gay. So it's not a romantic love? Right? What could she possibly want to gain from him .. And yes ghost will appear but there's just so many balls in the air that I didn't want to split the focus too much. So there was mention that he saw ghost coming in but now he's kind of focused on what's going on . Because he's a medium his interactions with ghosts or going to be more intense than just seeing them. And his abilities to touch objects and feel and kind of read people's minds obviously but that type of psychic ability comes at a true cost which is why he's always saying that he needs a drinkers he would prefer to be stoned Etc. So we will see ghosts later but it's going to be kind of towards the end. I haven't quite figured it out because I haven't set up the groundwork completely for it to a degree that I would be satisfied with in a normal length Story come up with this is supposed to be a short story even though of course it's turned out much longer than I expected originally. But I don't have 30 chapters to kind of build up all the pieces so I hate telling and not showing but I think some of it will have to be told in flashbacks or you know in his own mind kind of breaking things down so we'll see how it goes but there will be ghosts. There's going to be a very important twist with the ghostly community so that's coming but that will not happen next chapter into the very very end. And that's where I'll leave it because I don't want to give it away. But then the chapter after that is when all hell breaks loose.

I'm so glad you saw it now! I think there's a way for you to follow the story that way you'll be sent notifications when I post a chapters. I know I've been in frequent so that's what I tell readers when they message me letting me know that they've either miss a chapter or asking when I'm posting a new one. There is a lot of tension in the car LOL . Wait till the next chapter. You're going to see why I said that Griffin is not as nice as Spencer read lol. You did see some of it in the car. He has a mouth on him when he gets stressed out but Sean understands him. Originally the story was not supposed to be a romance in any respect. But as usual, the characters wrote themselves so I just go with it . It's not going to be a typical romance obviously , but there will be moments of confession and a sort of happiness is possible ending instead of an explicit happily ever after ending.
