  1. "What are you doing here?" Dante hissed, startled, and withdrew his hand from his pants. "What are you doing here?" he asked back, staring at Frank, who stood in the bathroom doorway with a towel around his hips, dripping wet. "I live here," he said dignified. "But not at this hour!" Dante's body screamed for relief, for Mistress Alice had known no other subject than underwear the entire way back, and he had a lot of animated images in his mind- he couldn't go down to the kitchen
  2. Kellen has his moments and he will get a nice answer from Violet next chapter. You'll have to be a bit more patient I honestly haven't decided yet whether they are just a sort of connecting point between story I and II or if there comes more. Like, becoming friends with some of the crew? 🤔 No no, the name Danny is sacred Next chapter, new answers
  3. Kellen was on time, but the bag he placed on my desk looked more like a food order for a whole family. He unpacked two large to-go coffee mugs, an XXL chocolate muffin and a box with a cinnamon roll, before stacking four large sandwiches on the side. “You never know,” he explained in response to my skeptical look. “Thank you,” I said simply as he pushed my coffee and the cinnamon roll towards me. Smiling, he nodded and took a bite of his muffin, only then did he sit down and immedi

    The Women on Top

The question is always, what they could do about it. Therese/Carolyn can neither get rid of Claire/Brittney, nor Anduin/Tom/Flynn. Yupp. Long term concern, but yes, keep that in mind.

    The Women on Top

Wouldn't surprise me if Anduin said something along the lines of "you need to be able to laugh about yourself". (Glad I don't need to meet your grandmother.) Absolutely. Maybe a bit. But Dante is the proud bastard around. Killing his best friend "broke" something in Marc, apart from the fact that he never was THAT proud. Right observation Will take a while till we get there, but it will sure not be and go as you might expect. But on Dante's part will happen quite bit more, even on his perception of family... That was exactly the point. A similar happening (to highlight something) will come soon, but after that all the girl-nights for Remy will happen off-screen.

    The Women on Top

"You look like shit." Remy sighed. "Thanks, Cain, good morning to you too." Rubbing his eyes, he stepped fully into the kitchen. Cain grinned wryly, but then paused, one hand on the fridge door. "Did I see that right yesterday, you went talking with Marc?" Nodding, Remy leaned against the kitchen island and watched Cain's grin disappear. "Tough stuff." "The shadows of the past?" He nodded again, and Cain sighed. "People always claim you can leave the past behind, li
  7. You will have to be patient for that answer, I'm afraid. We will hear a bit more family-stuff next chapter. And, hey, Dust might now know it (or rather him) but we do have a lawyer in the backpocket... I get what you're trying to say, but the magic's effect is (at least in my head) just chaotic and random. Oh, that's a nice theory 👍 Maybe I should hire you as beta reader 😅 seems like I'm not smart enough to write crime stories 🫣 We will get there, promise! Already tomorrow if I'm to be honest, however many chapters that might be...
  8. After lunch, I cleared the table with Fred while Uncle Carl cleaned the stove, then retreated back to my corner bench while my uncles retired for their post-lunch nap. I googled the name Durham and found the filmmaker, along with social media profiles and a few references and mentions in credits. But I also found articles about a Robert Durham who had been found guilty of six counts of rape and an interview with his wife. There was a couple's photo attached to the article and I recognized
  9. Just shows how much they trust him. An educated, intelligent, well-behaved upper-class slave ❤️ *cough* Seems weird, huh? I mean, there are other men running around who have better knowledge for this task, like, what about Blaise? Surely Henry for example could do with a father figure next to a new big brother...
  10. If it was that easy to answer, I probably wouldn't need 80 chapters to tell his story... 😅
  11. What exactly? Alice freeing him later? Him falling for her? They finding each other?
  12. "But Ma, I'm not a little kid anymore!" Frank's querulous voice belied his statement. "As long as you behave worse than Jack, you can tell me whatever you want," Miss Carolyn returned gruffly. Dante didn't want to hear the discussion. Frank was a mystery to him. What was he? Was there really a child stuck in the body of a grown man? Had this child- perhaps even indeed by an unconscious impulse on Dante's part- become a teenager? He didn't know. When he thought of Frank whispering lewd

    Marc

@Danners We will hear more about Marc's past and the port gangs and all this during his conversations with Remy. As was somewhat mentioned, Marc was raised to we a killer for the gang, just like his father (or Keith and his father).

    Marc

The whirlpool wasn't bubbling, but the water was hot and Marc had leaned back, relaxed. To his right, Miles massaged his left shoulder, moaning softly in pain; to his left, Keith sighed deeply. "Yo, Mo’c, di’ yoo b’ing aany alcool?" Tucker's question, asked in the area's deepest dialect, made Michael chuckle. "Be a change if he didn't." "Sure did." Marc grinned. Ever since this small exclusive group had made the deal with the janitor at the indoor pool a few years ago, he'd made s

    25: Finley

Sounds lovely ❤️ but very far away 😅 . Nowadays unbelievable but my mom saw the first time exotic fruit like bananas when she met her future parents-in-law who lived in a big city... Although I'm not a big fan of ice cream, I'm the one making it at home, to meet the different tastes of the family plus all the allergies etc. PS: now I want lamb with garlic-potatoes... *hungry*

    ... and Truths

I can agree on that. Well I promise at least some interference from his side, though more on Anduin... Honesty is not exactly Remy's strongest skill... True that. But he has a safe home and friends (apart some disruptions) and he is already out of his past life for over two years. It might not be much, considering what's weighing on him, but it's a good base for a new start. And who knows how his comradeship with Remy might evolve over this talking. Nothing good, that for sure. He's a cute, sweet, gentle man, quiet, with a shy smile. But instead of dealing with his own trauma, he's just pushing it away, locking it up somewhere. He holds on to his duties and his trauma response aka washing sheets.

    25: Finley

Sounds like childhood and youth of my mom. Did you have animals? When I was a kid, there were only rabbits left (as future food, of course, not for cuddling) and I loved going out with my grandma to pick up some nice fresh herbs. The old horse stable and pig pen were empty and abandoned already and we kids build a playing house in there. (Now my uncle rebuild it into party room with kitchenette abd bathroom.)

    ... and Truths

You are quite right. Remy's facade is starting to crumble and for sure his mistresses were able to see how thin this coating layer was/is. The question is, what are they going to do about it? What can they do? True. Remy cares, but he is also pragmatic and has is own past- which he is hiding, of course- but which might connect them more than we know for now. Yeah, there is this big But. Truth? Manipulation? A bit of both? How far would he go to the love of his brother?

    ... and Truths

The wind was cold and damp in Remy's face and smelled of the sea. It was no longer raining and probably in a few days it would be warm and sunny again. "We're too early," Anduin stated. Remy let his eyes wander over his shoulder to the other side of the street, where Colorclub was written in brightly colored letters above one of the stores. The heavy bars in front of the large windows were already up, but the store interior was still dark. "Can't be long now." Anduin grumbled sull
  20. Of course I meant that more in the sense that I would like to see this embarassing dinner. Or her inviting herself for dinner at Vince's. God save us all if this would be the type of woman Vince is into... *shudder*
  21. Can't wait to see more of Venetia Murray 😅

We sometimes had canned peaches with (vanilla) ice cream ❤️ Or of course peaches freshly plucked from the tree, as they stand in various family gardens.

    25: Finley

High five to Finley, I guess I don't think you can compare that... 😅
  24. Okay, so, phew. Milestone for Emmett and Finley is reached! And of course I once was "oh but with 25 chapters it should be done". Yeah, sure. Seems like I'm incapable of short(er) stories. Anyway. There are two more stories waiting for them in my mind and following that I have the idea of a fourth one featuring another couple (one of the guys we already know, wanna guess?). But I'm sure as hell not start straight away with part 2 as soon as I'm done. The Drama Queen has a cooldown. (Or my nerves on that matter have.) So, what to do after? There is the beginning of "The Choice of the Chosen" waiting teary-eyed to be continued, but dear Beckett and Finley are a bit too similar in some stuff. Gimme a break from plush-guys. In my files are already 2 chapters of "The Cow-Boy" sitting and waiting, another sweet story in urban fantasy style. This one is truely meant to be a short-story, I really hope I can keep it down to at most 10 chapters. (Just make the chapters longer, what's your problem?) Yeah. Then there is a dark high fantasy werewolf story with 3 (?) chapters somewhere, which need to be re-written and thoroughly dusted. For a change there would be even the beginnings of some horror-mystery-something, though as so often, the spark was short lived. Never went into this genre before, so I'm a bit careful on that front. And of course I have another story with dragons, though in this post-apocalyptic fantasy dark mix-of-a-lot-of-stuff they are the evil ones. Dark and dirty and I'm still not sure whether there will be a happy end or not. The Quincefield Chronicles are something different, though. Part 3 and 4 are planned and have already a cover photo, but after that... well there has to be a lot more, cause you don't expect Dust and Kellen find each other just like that, right? And Nathan needs his better half and of course Violet too. Lots to do over there. So, yeah, those thoughts are already spinning in my mind, but I guess till I finished "Ink and Flowers" there are already two or three new plot ideas ripe enough to be considered 😅 I'm the horrible master of the unfinished works in progress...

    25: Finley

Why everyone is so greedy? 😅 The small or the big dragon? In their true forms anatomically impossible, given their size difference. Quite literally That's actually a cute thought. But. I know unicorns with wings are popular, but I truely don't like them. There are unicorns and pegasi and kelpie and whatever else kind of mythical horses, but especially in this case it would overpower Emmett quite a bit. Not a fan of this kind of "superhero" either. Sorry, mate. Somehow, yes. Though it just makes sense because Finley can actually see him. He is! And it will get even better! ❤️ (How about a unicorn sleeping under the dragon's wings?) Yes I promise even cozier cuddlier sweeter moments, though of course we need some more drama before the happy end.
