  1. I bought Naruto: The Last. Is Baruto on DVD yet? It wasn't the last time I checked. And honestly, there was always a part of me wanting SasuNaru to happen, because I love yaoi pairings and because they had their first kiss together.
  2. I don't know if anyone else here follows anime or manga. The Naruto manga ended a while back, and Naruto Shippuden (the Japanese language version) is ending soon. I've been catching up on Crunchyroll. Since it's probably the final opening, I thought I would share this. Is anyone else sad about this? I am. Ever since a fellow GA member, Demetz, got me hooked on Naruto, I've become like a total weeb and gotten into many series like Fairy Tail, One Piece, Ergo Proxy, Kill la Kill, and many others. This is what is probably the final Naruto opening. It's the end of an era, over a decade of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden coming to an end.
  3. I have a slight inflection or whatever. I've seen this documentary on Netflix. I think people usually know I'm gay by the act that I almost always wear earrings like these.
  4. So, I was on my way to Rolla, Missouri yesterday, and I saw this. No joke. I didn't take this picture, but I saw the billboard, several in fact.
  5. That looks more like a skeleton of the basilisk from HP.
  6. I understand all too well how health problems can affect libido. I'm sorry to hear about your cancer. I've lost too many loved ones to the big C. I hope you are able to beat it.
  7. With France being attacked yet again by piece of shit terrorists, I feel that La Marseillaise is a fitting song.
  8. Clearly, they have lost their bite, but is this really a good thing? Moreover, I think it's a double-edged sword in which people can use disrespectful words and get away with it. Racism, sexism, and heterosexism are still major problems, and by "reclaiming" these words, we give people permission to use words like cunt, faggot, nigger, and honkey as if they're saying puppy. These are not innocent words. They are filthy words, meant to disparage based on gender, sexual orientation, and race. I'm all for Freedom of Speech, but Freedom of Speech ends when it infringes upon the civil liberties of others. Offending them is fine. Slander and/or inciting violence against a group of people through words like these (and yes, they're still strong enough) is still a way to infringe upon the rights of others in this way.
  9. I'm not big on censorship, but if a word is meant to be vulgar and offensive, then it should be treated as a vulgar and offensive word, especially if it's being used in this context. In American English, this is how cunt is defined. It shouldn't lose its meaning by becoming less offensive, whether it is censored or not. It should be understood to be a disrespectful word, whether referring to a woman or her genitals or having coitus with a woman. Definition of cunt 1usually obscene : the female genital organs; also : sexual intercourse with a woman 2usually disparaging & obscene : woman 1a
  10. I don't either. The Millennials seem to have differing opinions about how abhorrent the word is. I'm not really sure why. Even when clearly meant as an insult, it doesn't seem to have the same shock value it once did here in the US. I'm Gen Y, and even my understanding is like, "Cunt is a compliment? Since when?" I mean, calling someone a bitch has often been taken as a compliment, but the C word has, been considered a taboo, at least here. It's not something you call a woman over 40 for sure. However, why younger women are okay with the epithet is beyond me.
  11. Oh, for clarification, he was not being nice when he said it. I just wanted that to be understood.
  12. Okay, so I know on the main forum, we can't say cunt. I think we can on our blogs? Anyway, the other day, this dude called these women cunts on another board. They didn't even seem offended. The took the word, cunt, as a compliment. What the fuck? My uncle once tossed his son out of a god damn window for calling his mom that. Is this word even considered offensive anymore, or have the Aussies corrupted the rest of the English-speaking world. https://www.buzzfeed.com/bradesposito/outrageous-words-that-are-said-every-day-in-australia?utm_term=.xq74qR2bm1#.hxnD90KrOn
  13. Papa Roach is one of my favorite bands. You can tell from the lyrics he writes, Jacoby Shaddox has experienced a great deal of pain in his life. This song is about internal struggles and how they can affect a romance. The lyrics are quite haunting. I think a lot of people have gone through this sort of thing, dealing with their own demons and pushing people away.
  14. It's funny how when you're listening to iTunes, you can through completely different genres. Here's a prime example: I was listening to this: Then this: Now this:
  15. I don't know if I've shared this song on here or not. I'm a fan of the anime series Gintama, and this song is the 13th opening of the long-running series based on the manga by Hideaki Sorachi.
  16. There are some chances in pulse and BP related to sexual activity. However, I suspect the data collected in this study is not indicative of hypertension or tachycardia. Any pulse over 110 or BP with a systolic over 150 or diastolic over 100 for any reason is definitely cause for concern. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18635976
  17. I've always wanted to have a pet mongoose. Can I pet you... heavily?
  18. I don't know why anyone would want to own a king cobra. They have highly venomous neurotoxins.
  19. There were many things about Omar that would have set him apart from others. Being a gay Muslim was only one of them. Some people who knew him said that he actually celebrated 9/11. He was a teenager at the time. He was all giddy when the South Tower was hit. I read that in a Washington Post article on my Kindle Fire. So on top of being a self-loathing gay Muslim, he likely also suffered from some kind of MI, probably of a psychotic variety. He would have felt like an outcast in every sense of the word, because his actions and behaviors would have been well beyond social norms. It was said that he used Grindr a lot and was not very successful. People who tell the world, "Fuck you!" the way he did, do so to make a statement, knowing that it may very well be their final act and that it will grab headlines around the world. Such a terrible way to earn your 15 minutes.
  20. Funny you mention mosquitos, Krista. People don't realize this. I saw a list of the animals responsible for the most human deaths. Humans were in 2nd place. Mosquitos were in 1st by a wide margin. Snakes were in the top 10, but the number was infinitesimal compared to deaths by other humans and mosquitos.
  21. I think the Belcher’s Sea Snake has more, but the chances of a human being bitten by one are quite remote. Inland Taipans and Eastern Browns are the two deadliest land snakes due to their highly toxic venom and the latter's aggressive nature. Black Mambas and Blue Kraits are also incredibly dangerous.
  22. The frontman is kinda cute. I hope he's going solo. Ofc, he should consider going a bit edgier. Alternative/pop rock is okay, but I prefer mainstream rock and metal tbh.
  23. Since we have a spider thread, we should have a snake and caecilian thread. I hate snakes, but pictures of them don't bother me too much. Did you know that the largest venomous snake is the king cobra? There are two snakes considered the largest. We'll start with the heftiest, the green anaconda: The longest is the reticulated python: The most venomous is the Inland Taipan: This amphibian is a Mexican burrowing caecilian, and it is not a snake: I might even have nightmares over this thread. I hate snakes. Does anyone else detest these creatures and their amphibious counterparts?
  24. Here's a classic.
